My goals:

I would love to get to the point where I can do C25K again.

First Weigh-in Day (Tuesday)
CW - 192

Up a pound since registration last week. Ive been eating poorly but getting back on track. I am going away up north with friends in 4 weeks for a birthday celebration weekend with lots of hiking and outdoor time. Hoping to shed a few pounds by then.
A little about me. I live in Toronto, Ontario. I am turning 48 in a week. I am a mother to a 14 year old son and I have a wife whom I have been with for 17 years. I use to be extremely fit and active (ice hockey, rock climbing, muay thai boxing) but have just become very burnt out and sedentary over the years. I started getting back into nature a few years ago with hiking and back country canoe trips. I am tired of all the extra weight and need to get back to my old self.
I was diagnosed with sever sleep apnea 1.5 years ago and now use CPAP. Anyone other CPAP folks out there? I am hoping that when I drop 50 lbs I won't need it any longer. One of my goals I guess
I see you posted steps .. Are you wanting to be added to the step challenge? If so please give me a step goal you are planning to hit daily ...Thank you3 -

@Megan_smartiepants1970 so sorry about your ankle. Arthritis is no fun.
No steps for Sunday. I was dizzy. Saw gp who confirmed vertigo and said probably likely to have episodes in the future. Gave me exercises to do to help with it.4 -

Thanks Linda ...x-rays on my hips didn't show anything ... He thinks it is my lower back so I have to go get an x-ray and he is talking about me doing PT ...They seem to flare up when I was walking but obviously I can't do that at this time ... I see him in 2 weeks3 -

Ok I can't seem to make my step goal consistently. Do I lower my expectations? Or try to work harder. I guess the latter.
More from me tomorrow.4 -
Happy lunar new year everyone.
Check in for 2/1:
Steps - 12601
Calories - I have 1800 down, but it can be 1700 - 2000. Total guess on dinner, which was a buffet of Chinese food. I had some of everything but I don't feel like I overate. I think I will gain from sodium though.
Exercise - 5.34 mile walk this afternoon in 1 hr 36 minutes. I used the walk to order the Chinese food for dinner. Then I drove back to pick it up. At least I got rid of some sodium before dinner.
@Megan_smartiepants1970 sorry about your ankle. Glad to hear about your hips, though.
@Beautyofdreams good luck with your vertigo. I hope they figure out why quickly.1 -

Happy Wednesday, Downsizers! Here's my check-in:
PW: 164.8
CW: 161.9 (-2.9)
SW: 250
2/1:
Calories: 1,131
Exercise: 50 minutes elliptical, 60 minutes lower body strengthening, 15 minutes stretching class
Steps: 14,217
1/31:
Calories: 1,137
Exercise: None
Steps: 5,901
I am thrilled with my weight loss this week. I was convinced that I wouldn't lose any weight because I wasn't able to exercise much last week due to my knee situation. I kept up with the strengthening and stretching classes - but very little cardio. I did stick to my calories though, without fail. I'm pleased to report that I was fitted with knee braces at physical therapy yesterday and I took them for a spin on the elliptical when I returned home - and they seem to be working! I didn't have any pain during the workout. I'm so excited - I hope it continues - I'm getting ready to give them another try in a few minutes.
@jayenguk Awesome loss!
@rwood566 You are my inspiration every day!
@Beautyofdreams Vertigo is awful - I'm so sorry - hopefully, your doctors will be able to help you get rid of it soon.

Happy Wednesday!
Tuesday's steps - 6018
Really trying to get motivated to work out. I have a gym at home and haven't used it since the summer. I know once I start, I will get in a groove. I'm so tired once I get home from work and especially after dinner. Mornings are hectic in my house. I need to work on a doable daily routine. I have been going up to bed a little earlier the last few days and the extra sleep is making me feel better.7 -

This made me ponder why it's so much easier to get into a routine of sitting on the couch and staring at my laptop than it is to get into a routine of exercise (for me, at least). I've decided to blame gravity. Dang. I have a friend who works out every day, always doing something, and it shows. "I love working out!" "If I didn't work out every day I'd go crazy" "I think of my workout time as taking a break". "Sometimes I work out twice in a day because I'm bored "Wanna go to kickboxing with me?"
Sometimes, I kinda hate her.
Oh, and I was up all night Monday until the wee hours of yesterday morning with food poisoning which happened at a "nice" restaurant. So much for going out again. During lockdowns everyone was saying, "I can't wait to go out." Newsflash. It's not that great. Anyway, I didn't make my step goal yesterday. I hope I can today. I'm still pretty sore (around my ribs and abdomen) from being violently ill for about 8 hours. Maybe I can do a bunch of little stints of exercise that'll add up!

I woke up this morning with a brutal headache which was making me feel nauseous. I took something for both and eventually fell back to sleep. I just woke up. I can’t remember the last time I slept until noon. It’s still lingering so I am not sure on the pool. The snow is really coming down so it would be pretty in the pool house today. If I go it will be just cardio today and stretching.4 -

Two nights ago I kept hearing fireworks and hearing people shouting happy new year. I thought I was having hallucinations until my friend said she heard the same thing. I forgot about the lunar new year.
@peng123
That’s a fantastic loss! You have proved 2 weeks in a row that weight loss can be accomplished without exercise. Well done!
@Beautyofdreams
Great exercise day!
I apologize for not being more supportive today. The last two nights my bedtime routine went out the window leading to poor sleep. Back to my routine tonight and hopefully will be rewarded with a good nights sleep. 😴3
