Hi! Need to catch up on all posts later and make a better one of my own; I've been super scattered recently (missing the last weigh-in, late on this one, blahblah) so for now just going to do weighin info though

Our MODS and fellow captains are so impressed with the stats from week 2 from everyone's hard work, that a challenge has risen!!!

Let's work from now through Week 4 to lose a pound per person and see what we can do! Are you up for the challenge?!!!

Let's WOW ourselves! Any loss is amazing, but let's see what happens when we push as a group effort?!! I'm so proud of this team...good luck!!! WE GOT THIS!!!

Hey there @fattleass ...just an FYI, you reported your weight last week as 183.2 so you stayed the same this week! WAY TO MAINTAIN! You're doing such a fantastic job!!! How are you feeling?!!

Yesterday was rough, couldnt get into my workout, was pretty depressed, anxious, and angry. Today was much better, I ran 1.5 miles (still 1/2 mile less than my normal, but 1 mile more than yesterday) then did 30 minutes of leg day

@jessicakrall8 and @angmarie28 - I’m glad you’re both doing better after rough patches earlier in the week. It’s a good reminder that our physical and emotional difficulties can pass with time.

I’m sending well-wishes to anyone feeling ‘out of sorts’ and taking strength from you - and other Shape Shifter team members - who help us ‘name’ the difficulties we face and show us how to let the hardship pass without derailing us over the long term.

    Great job, everyone!

Here is my maintenance report for the week.

    PW: 127.4
    CW: 127.6

    SW: 168
    LTD: 40.4

I’m just under 5’4” tall (short?) so my goal is to maintain my weight between 120 and 130. Eventually, I’d like to settle on a five pound range (e.g., 120-125 or 125-130) but, for now, I’m focusing on building muscle while maintaining a stable weight. So, I’m not quite sure where I’ll land. Last month, I had a DEXA scan to learn more about my current body composition but I haven’t received the results yet. I think I’ll check in with the doctor to find out when I can expect a report.

Have a great weekend, Shape Shifters!

@leni1us I'm so sorry for all the stress you're under right now. I've been through all of that as well with the loss of my mother in 2011. Try to just breathe and know that everything will eventually work out...it's just not easy, especially when you're still in the midst of grieving their loss!

I've asked the MODS to excuse you from last week and this week's weigh ins. Take care!
    Jessica

@jessicakrall8 Thank you so much. This is a bit of a stressful time for us and I'm afraid my eating habits have taken a back seat. I'm trying to focus on, at least, drinking more water.

I know things will calm down, I just have to ride out the storm. I will plan to weigh again on Friday, 2/25.

    Steps update (goal 6,800)
    2/12 - 7,009
    2/13 - 8,650
    2/14 - 7,365
    2/15 - 4,396
    2/16 - 5,191

** My steps these past 3days have not been up to par mostly due to me taking my sneakers out of my car and not having them for my lunch walks 😕 . Walking in heeled (work) shoes is just not very comfortable or motivating. I'll have to set a reminder so I don't forget to put them in my car.

Y'all, I'm feeling good! My tiny habits are becoming regular habits, and I've changed my thinking from goals to identity (finally getting around to reading Atomic Habits). That mental switch from "I want to exercise in the mornings" to "I'm someone who exercises in the mornings" has been incredibly impactful. Similarly, "I'm someone who chooses healthy food items, drinks a protein shake before meals, and stays within my daily calorie allotment" helped me stay on track during a week with a lot of change.

This was my first week back in the office in almost 2 years. It was great seeing friends and coworkers again. I started taking a bus for my long commute. I'm now someone who meditates daily (on the bus), and I can get ready for my day before getting to the office as well as have a good wind-down before getting home. This has really helped my mental health.

My wife (KHill875) had major changes this week with me not being home to help get the kids ready for school and not being available at home until later in the day. I know she felt the added stress, but I feel like she kicked *kitten* dealing with such a big shift.
