I hope that all have your injuries, illnesses and surgery taken care of. I haven't been following this, so don't really know all of you. Judith, I pray that your necessary surgery is taken care of soon.
Friday I was taken to lunch for my BD, then in the evening I went to a Worship and Prayer service at my church -- my gift to myself. I really liked that night.
This morning at church they had the younger youth do a program singing Hosanna and waving palm branches. It was a good service.

Welcome, fancyqtr. It will be nice to get to know you, too. Glad you had a lovely time at church. Happy birthday!

Marilyn, thank you for your care. <3 I am so sorry the virus hit you so hard. Glad you are overcoming it now. Its hard to be totally careful as so many have it without having symptoms. I avoid crowds and don't go out much at all. I did have a cup of tea with this friend at her place, and that was our contact. I hope you get plenty of rest and that's great news about your diet and weight loss!

Linda, so far so good. We don't have ANY symptoms. All going well, we will be out of isolation on Wednesday. We have both been exposed to this before and not caught it. I hope we avoid it this time too. Many people around us are sick with it, but we only had contact with one of them who still also has no symptoms. We're being careful. I keep praying we'll continue to be well. With my asthma, I really do not need it. Hope you are well too.

Thinking of you, Judith. Xx ๐Ÿ™

I had a day of learning online, various topics. I like to use my brain when I get the chance. ๐Ÿ˜€

Welcome to the Team Fancyqrt, so happy to have you here and sharing in our Chat Cafe. Just to update you a little, I was diagnosed with Malignant Spreading type Melanoma in July of 2019, I have been under treatment since then with 3 major surgeries since, all 3 surgeries within 7 months of each other. I am waiting on further and also need reconstruction surgery. The delays in these next 2 surgeries have caused more issues as well as neurological damage. My Neurologist is pushing for me to get these next 2 surgeries completed. The delays have been mainly due to the pandemic.

    Linda, Susan, Marilyn

Thank you for sharing and for all your encouraging messages you have shared. Thank you for your prayers, of course mine are always with you.

May I encourage you to read and meditate on today's Easter Devotional, The Devotion is "Reflecting on Palm Sunday"

We have just entered the Easter Week, let us Reflect and Meditate on what Easter means to us a Christian, God's People, Remember what Jesus did for us, the Sacrifice He Made by Pouring out His Life's Blood that We Might be Saved, Forgiven, Washed and Cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, to give us New Life in Him. If it were not for Jesus Death and Resurrection we would still be in our Sins.

Hallelujah, He is Risen, We Serve a Risen Savior....Let's Celebrate Easter, Celebrate Jesus, our Risen Lord! โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ

Judith - the Palm Sunday devotional was very thought provoking. What a difference in just a week - rejoicing for anticipated victory over the Romans to absolute devastation that the Messiah was dead. They probably felt all hope was gone but in three days the miracle of miracles happened - our sins were paid for and we have a new life. May Easter never get so commercialized with bunnies and candy that we forget what the real Easter was and is about.

Today would have been my F-I-L's 92 birthday so we are going out to get together as a family to celebrate his life by eating his favorite foods. He was not a picky eater so the menu was easy. He has been gone for 2 1/2 years now.

Linda, time passes so quickly. I lost my mother in 2018 so it has already been nearly 4 years. It seems like no time and it seems like forever. I'm so glad that the Lord will reunite us one day.

Marilyn, the Cherokee knew the struggle between good and evil, hey. The Lord established it all in the beginning with Adam, Eve and the serpent. It's a good reminder.

Judith, I am thinking of you and all your appointments and challenges. I'll go read the devotional you spoke of after this. Easter always brings the Lord's sacrifice and my salvation closer to my heart. โค

We are having typical Colorado spring weather. It was warm yesterday then high winds and snow this morning. This afternoon the snow is melted off already. We only got about an inch but they are expecting a foot in the mountains. My sister-in-law told me yesterday that the frost of last week killed all but a few of the apricot blooms. The peaches are not quite ready to bloom but the plums are in full bloom. I don't know if the cold weather and snow did any damage to the plums or not last night. The plums are so good to eat fresh but when I freeze them they get really sour. We do not use sugar to preserve fruit so we need to mix then with other fruits or get creative to eat them after they are frozen.

We got a message that the irrigation water will be turned on Friday. We get our water from the Colorado
River so since we are not paying for city water to irrigate, it is pretty cheap to pay for. Since the water level is low though we may be asked to only irrigate on certain days. So far we have not heard of any restrictions.

Too true, Marilyn. Even painful parts of our lives are only wasted if we do not learn from them. I get plenty of life lessons through having to change.

Linda, I hope you get nice crop of fruit! We have had quite warm days here this week but today is a little cooler and we have had an afternoon shower.

I took both dogs to the groomed today and Archie had a full groom. He looks very dapper. Jasper had an introduction to the groomer and had his nails cut and his face trimmed. He took it well.

We're having YouTube church tonight as some have been exposed to covid. Maybe Sunday we will have in person church. Hope so.

Amen to all these awesome quotes and comments. Yes, we serve a Risen Savior who loves us with an everlasting love, the Love He gave by pouring out His Lifeโ€™s Blood on Calvaryโ€™s Cross that we might be Forgiven, Washed and Cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb! Thank you Jesus! To God be all the Glory!

Letโ€™s Celebrate Jesus this Easter remembering we are celebrating Easter only because of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who has Saved us and given us New Life! Amen.

Another cold day but the sun is shining which helps lift our spirits. A warm front is supposed to be comming in and we should be in the 60's by the end of the week. Do any of you have Easter sunrise services? We used to do it and it was so inspiring to see the sun come up as we were singing songs of praise.

Our daughternand the kids are staying a day laternthan they expected since there is a lot of snow predicted over the mountain passes today. It is nice to have them here for another day but it will be nice to have a quiet and clean house again.

Judith I am making your chickpea, cucumber and tomato salad that you posted today for dinner. I did substitute parsely for the mint because that is what I have available. Our mint is too small to use but will be growing fast when the weather gets warmer.

Hello all. I am so glad we are sisters in Christ. His salvation made us all one family. What a joy it will be to be all together in heaven one day!

Linda, we used to have Easter sunrise services too but not this year. They were beautiful.

My daughter and kids left today to go back to Denver so the house is very quiet. We will be going to Denver tomorrow so we can have Easter together with all our family. It will not be at our house so that is less stress for me.

We took dinner to my mother-in-law and ended eating with my brother and sister in law also. We were pretty busy so we just bought some chicken and sides to take there. It had a lot of salt in it so I expect my weight to be higher tomorrow. I will be drinking a lot of water to try to get the salt out of my body quickly.

    Good Friday Blessings All

Susan, I sure remember the years we had Sunrise Easter Services, we would meet at a park called Rocky Point Park, it bordered the sea and we met along the seashore singing and Praising the Lord as the Sun came up, Pastor would share a short message then we joined hands in a circle praying and sang more Worship. We all would return back to church for a Sunrise Breakfast, then have pre-service prayer then we gathered in the sanctuary for our Easter Sunday Service. Such a beautiful way to Celebrate our Risen Lord.

Linda, sounds like a lovely dinner and for meeting with family over dinner. I'm sure your mother in law appreciated you taking dinner to her. Trust your children had a safe journey back home. Its always nice to have times with our children and grandkids. Hope you enjoyed the salad I had posted in the recipe section. I look forward to the day when I can eat food like this.

Hope you enjoy the Easter weekend as you celebrate Good Friday today and your Easter Sunday Resurrection Service.

Marilyn, thank you for sharing the inspiring messages as you post the many quotes, poetry and thoughts. Each one is a blessing in which we all give thanks.

Today I am reflecting on Jesus Death, what He did for me by going to Calvary's Cross and pouring out His Life's Blood so my sins would be washed away, I would be forgiven and have a new life in Christ Jesus my Lord. Yes, I have been cleansed and washed clean by the Blood of the Lamb. Thank you Jesus.

I will meditate on Scripture and will participate in Holy Communion as I watch an online Communion service.

This weekend I am taking in all the special Easter online services my Home Church is Live Streaming for those who can't get to church.

Today is Good Friday, we have much to Thank and Praise Jesus for, if it were not for Jesus going to Calvary's Cross and shedding His Life's Blood for our Sins we would still be lost in our sins.

Today for us who have been saved can give Thanks to Jesus for the Gift of Salvation!

Hallelujah, we serve a Risen Lord. Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, our Mighty King who has taken away our sins with His precious life saving Blood. Jesus is the Lamb of God!

Lets Celebrate Jesus....Happy and Blessed Easter my Friend's and Sister's in Christ. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ“–โœ๏ธ

Amen Judith! From what seemed to be a very sad and devistating Friday came the glorious resurection day that gives us life, hope and salvation.

Our daughter got home safely yesterday and today we are taking that trip over the mountain. We are hoping to get to Denver in time for the Good Friday service so I am a little bit hurried right now. I will try to post later today after we get there.

Healthyme, I am guessing you are on the west slope. It was down to 41 in Denver on Wednesday here, but back to the 60s today. Next week a couple days are supposed to be near 80. I hope we get some good peaches this year.

Judith, I hope that you can get the surgeries you need soon.

I have been trying to get the repairs done in my basement and, since the handyman wasn't charging a whole lot for materials over his labor charge, I was also getting a garage door opener put in. Got the parts needed for everything (but don't have the bathroom fittings yet) and he laid the opener parts out and that was the end of what he was doing. Still need one wall put up downstairs and some of the drywall put together. Suddenly he decided he needs $1000 more for labor than his estimate, so he now won't even answer my contacts. So I have to figure out how to do everything he didn't. I haven't ever done anything like that.

Well, just wanted to wish everyone a blessed Easter weekend.

Fancyqtr - we have a retirement home in Grand Junction and a house in Westminster. Our daughter lives in our Westminster house so when we need to be in the Denver area, we stay with her. When our granddaughter graduates in three years, she will be moving to Grand Junction and we will sell our Westminster home. We are almost neighbors since Westminster is a suburb of Denver. I am sorry you are having problems with your contractor. I hope you can get things comp[leted soon.

We got home just in time to go to the Good Friday service. It was very moving reading scripture, watching videos and singing praise songs.

It's Easter Saturday here in Australia and we've had a lovely sunny and cool day. I've been working on various projects all day. Am making some progress.

Fancyqtr, how frustrating about the contractor. I hope you can figure out what to do.

Linda, how different our houses seem when family leaves after a visit! Have a wonderful time together tomorrow.

Judith, those were such good memories about your dawn services. Thank you for the focus on our Lord and what He has done for us. We'll be at church in the morning and have communion.

The dog trainer is here this morning to see what he can do to make our younger dog be more obedient. She has learned to counter surf and can reach quite a long ways accross and takes anything she can find off of it. Yesterday it was some bread my daughter had put there getting ready to eat and had turned her back for a minute. She is a very hyper dog and when she saw us come last night home got really excited. She is getting so big that when she jumps up her head is at my neck. I am afraid she will knock me over if I am not standing against something. Maybe when we have been here for a little while she will calm down.

We are getting our lawn aerated today to help get the water down through the ground when we water it. We have clay soil that is really hard so we need to do it yearly. We will rent a machine and our son-in-law is going to do it for us and for his lawn. I am so grateful to have family around to help do things we can not physically do.

    Easter Sunday Blessings All,

Thank you all for sharing and for your Easter Blessings Greetings.
Today I was able to watch our Church Live Stream their Easter Morning Service, a powerful message on the Resurrection:
Hallelujah we serve a Risen Lord! Jesus is Alive and one day He is coming back for His church, what a Glorious Day that will be when we see Jesus Face to Face, Glory to God...

We had a very inspiring service today at church and this afternoon we are going to my daughter's house to celebrate Easter and my birthday. Three times in my whole lifetime my birthday has happened on Easter. I have felt very special today.

The weather is warming up but we still have wind. It is supposed to be in the 70's this week.

Happy Easter everyone. Would have been nice to have you all at our Easter Weekend Celebration - both Good Friday and today's service was lifestream and after being in church for 75 years this was the 1st weekend that it was so powerful. Let me know if anyone would be interested in watching both - if so I will see if I can post them here - both are about 1 hour long

Marilyn, glad you had such a powerful worship service. Why not post the video links ? Then we could all have a look. We had a beautiful service with communion too. And there were visitors which was lovely.

Happy birthday, Linda. What a great day to have your birthday on on!

Judith, I have a stamp just like the one on your first picture and have that scripted sentiment too! Hallelujah for the Lord!

Thank-you so much for the birthday greetings. I had a wonderful birthday with all the children and grandchildren. I do not need much since we downsized but I did ask for little things to help me around the house. The gifts were very special and varied. I am so grateful for family. I also am thankful for my mother who gave me life. It was a difficult delivery with the doctor not knowing if he could save both of us. My mother was determined and working with the doctor, we both survived. I miss her so much even though she has been gone for 14 years.

Linda, sounds like you had a wonderful Easter birthday. I never thought about mine being on Easter, but found it was in 2007 and 2012. Surprised me. I don't remember it.

I didn't get on here at al yesterday. Went to church and had a tiny bit of the breakfast the youth had to make money for their upcoming missions trip. After church we went to a friends' in Strasburg for dinner and egg hunt for their girls. It was a good day of visiting.
