Doing well maintaining stable weight into year two. Could lose that pesky last 20 pounds but am happy to be not struggling or regaining any of the 100+ lbs. previously lost. I still log daily and do minor adjustments. But, it’s a bit more automatic now. I’m daring to hope that even with some weight to lose I’m in a good head space.

Thanks Laurie! I can’t say how I’ve managed the last two year except for pure stubbornness. And no days off.

It just works for me and now seems a possibility of being accountable without great struggle. All lapses, holidays, vacation days are faithfully logged too. No spreadsheets or graphs. Just day by day.

I admit that my loging has taken another nose dive recently compared to the meticulousness of before.

And even less planning as I'm not even looking at protein and fiber which I've continued to do until the past few months. No graphs not really either. But an eye to being more or less balanced within the week.

Small nudges, of course. No big correcting. And no big deviating. I think I've had one or two huge over days. Several -200 range. And keep on keeping on. Weight is, I think, finally back in the 153 to 155 instead of 155 to 157 range!

Notice the I think. I'm actually fairly sure via eye ball and scale app graph. But I haven't even entered the results in Fitbit and trendweight. I've just got fitbit set at 154.

    Living dangerously! 😹

    You go, ABD. Congratulations!

Hello, @jaysfan82. Great progress. I am from Hamilton. Last time I was "sick" during a stretch of serious weight loss it threw things off for awhile. The week after I was suddenly holding lots of extra water and the scale was quite frustrating. Hope that doesn't happen to you - but thought I would mention it so that you woudn't be surprised if it does.

Good to see you here in the threads...

I have gone from class 3 morbid obesity to overweight now. Today my A1c was 5.6, it was 5.4 in January but 6.4 in Oct 2021. The doctor said to keep doing what I'm doing and that I should be very proud of myself. He cut the dosage of one of my blood pressure medicines in half. (I take 2, hoping for none as weight loss continues.)

Dante the numbers are amazing; but, so was the visual. And this is coming from people who have never seen you before. I would be extremely tempted, if I were you, to start thinking about a couple of years of stable weight without necessarily an inducement to either go up or down other than as a variance around my new mean!

I love primates, so I have several primate knick-knacks, including these two fine specimens. The monkey money box is hollow cast bronze....empty of coins, it weighs just over 2.6kg (5.7lbs). The gorilla (including his treasured marbles) is solid bronze and weighs 11.4kg (25lbs). He's so heavy I had to weigh him on my bathroom scales, as you can see from the photo.

I've currently lost the equivalent of 3 gorillas (75 lbs), to take me to a BMI of 25.2.

By the time I reach my ultimate goal I'll have lost 3 gorillas and 2 monkeys (86.4lbs).

So just two monkeys to go to my ultimate goal weight. By the time I've lost one monkey, I'll already be my lowest ever adult weight...the second monkey is the icing on the cake.

But how about them monkey brains? 🤔 I thought we had standardized on Garfields, 🐰, 🐇s, and 🐹s! 🤷🏻‍♂️ What's with the 🐒🐵🙈 business?

Guess it’s time to get the last two monkeys off your back Bella?

It is an interesting way to visualize weight loss. I mentally thought of five pound sacks of 🥔 potatoes. I lost about 20. I don’t know how I managed to walk about carrying that many sacks all day every day. Still have four sacks to go.

That's a lot of spuds Yooly! Yes, it beggars belief how we managed to tote that weight around all day every day, unable to put it down even for a moment. No wonder we're tough as old boots...
