Good Morning Group, I was 300 calories over my goal yesterday. Went out with hubby and had 2 drinks. Boy.... alcoholic drinks have a lot of calories. But I still ate less than my body burns so I guess thats good. Today I am getting my eyes checked. I need new glasses. My eyes got worse fast this year. Seems like the older I get the worse they get! We are also going out to dinner with friends tonight. I am going to look at the menu before hand to take the guess work out of the food. Lets have a great on plan weekend!!5

@cyndiesstuff As long as you burn off more than you consume, you're in the zone! Eyesight does decline and it can be a bit scary and odd when you notice the differences. I need to get mine checked too as I've only been using cheap reading glasses since it started. Have a fun night out.3

Now, I must decide whether to buy a full-length mirror or go on holiday again next year, you know, just to get the progress pics 🤔
I took these in the hotel as I didn't have a full length photo of my lumps and bumps that I clearly have to work on 🫣 arms, belly, bust = ABBs! The other bits will fall into place if I concentrate on the ABBs ☺️ Here goes....

A loss! Woohoo! My big NSVs this week are:- I finally went to bed early last night and, therefore, got to check off all my habits on the habit tracker for the day.
- I said "no" to hot chocolate my husband offered me in an emotionally raw moment. I really wanted it for comfort, but I didn't have many calories left and knew I could use them more efficiently on a different snack.

I really can't wait to be back in the 190's. For the past 6 months or so I seem to get down to about 202 then gain back 5 to 7 pounds. Then lose it and regain it. I'm trying really hard. I was hoping by my birthday (January 31st) I'd be 199.9 but I don't think it will happen by then. But as long as I keep losing and keep trying, that's all that matters.
I also started measuring myself again, which I haven't done in at least 5 years. Between now and December 18th, I've lost 5.5 inches between my stomach, thighs, calves and arms. 2.5 in just my waist!8 -

This was an unpleasant week for me. I was sick with a bad cold, dealing with an unusually early and heavy flow, fatigue and migraine. The chocolate and fat cravings were really bad this week and I wanted to eat all the things all the time. Hopefully this next week will be better.
On the brighter side, I've been fairly consistent with my strength training and I'm starting to train for an 11k in March. I went for a 4k run/walk this morning and it felt pretty good.

I had a very nice time out to dinner last night. I followed my plan. I ate very light breakfast and lunch so i would have calories for the more calorie dense dinner. I also got my eyes checked yesterday. My new glasses will be here in about 3 weeks. I can't wait. To day is grocery shopping and food prep for the week. We are also going to go to my Dad's (he is 90) to put a new toilet in his bathroom. Need to do laundry too. It is going to be a busy day. I am going to be very mindful today. Many times when I eat like I did last night, I want to continue to over eat the next day. I am not doing that today. This is the new Cyndie learning how to enjoy food and friend and then getting right back to weight loss. I hope everyone has an amazing day.6

Well, it has been a week. Steps were better than last week. Not much progress but I'm not going the wrong direction. I did really well at dinner only ate half...the rest will be an amazing lunch. Food porn trigger warning...I always get the veggie combo which is gomen (spiced, sauteed collard greens), misir wat (spicy lentil stew), atiklet (cabbage, potato and carrots), and fosolia (green beans and carrots sauteed with tomatoes and *maybe* honey wine). It comes with injera, which is a spongy sourdough pancake-like flat bread that you tear bits off to pick up the stews (NO SILVERWARE!). So yummy! My husband got tibs wat, which is a spicy beef dish (I stole a bite or two and it was super nice--they dropped it from the menu about 8 yrs ago and now it is back!!).
