 I had two great days this week. Then, my husband was home on Thursday and Friday this week. When he’s home during the day, the menu COMPLETELY changes and it throws me off. I need to learn how to adequately handle this. It’s not his fault, it’s mine, but it’s a pattern and a trigger I’ve identified that I need to learn how to navigate2

 I had two great days this week. Then, my husband was home on Thursday and Friday this week. When he’s home during the day, the menu COMPLETELY changes and it throws me off.  I know what you mean. It’s easy to stay on track when I’m just eating for myself but when I cook for my husband and my son I have to accommodate for their taste. The other night we had steak, mashed potatoes and veggies. I just tried to control my portion size - I had steak, a small dab of the potatoes and a lot of the veggies. I do that a lot when we have meals that are high in fat or calories - have a small portion and fill up on greens or some kind of vegetable.

 I could handle steak and potatoes. It’s the grilled cheese sandwiches, lasagna and hamburgers that throw me off, lol
