Happy with that, although I really over indulged yesterday because it was Mother’s Day. Going to have to work hard this week to maintain I think 🙏

    Great loss! Well done

Nice loss! When I did my therapy for binge eating she didn’t want me losing weight. They believed in setpoint theory. There was no way I was accepting my weight was meant to be 266. I got a lot out of therapy but I butted heads with the therapist on that point.

@lindamtuck2018 this has definitely been a sticking point with therapy for me too. And I do sort of understand it - I think the recovery process has to be at odds with losing weight.
And like you I don't accept this as being my setpoint when I feel so uncomfortable. My compromise has been to restrict only the minimum (so my calories are likely higher than a lot of people would do) and not forbid any type of food. But still log everything, be more active, and be in a deficit. I definitely think the therapy is helpful as I feel much calmer around food, but I don't want to give up on myself when I know how much more comfortable I'll feel in my own skin to get some of this weight off.

    Exercise:

This was an amazing week for sleep and weight loss but logging my food needs improvement. As for exercise, it was non existent. One thing about exercise is it makes me really hungry. I think if I make a protein shake after I swim it may help. I don’t have cranberry juice but I am sure I can find something else to make the shake with. No don’t say milk as I don’t like it and haven’t drank it in 50 years.

I use heavy cream in my smoothies it makes it very creamy

I think that would taste awful to me. I drank sour milk when I was in grade 2 and it turned me. Milk looks so refreshing but I just can’t.

I think my number one thing I got out of it was learning my triggers. I can’t go too low on calories as it will result in binge eating. I have no bad food either but I am trying to practice moderation especially when it comes to junk food.

    DAILY CHECK IN:
    SUNDAY 03/19
    - Calories: 2158 (goal 1200-1600)
    - Water: 113 oz
    - Gym: no
    - Walk: no
    - Protein: 107 g (85 goal)
    - Fiber: 5 g (25 goal)
    - THOUGHTS: went to Costco on Sunday , picked up a ton of yummies …. Edamame, strawberries, broccoli, yogurt, sparkling water, chicken … but, we also got carrot cake muffins. I ate the muffin, the entire, 720 calorie, frosting dripped muffin. Threw my calories so far over the edge. I had to wrestle the croissants out of my husband’s hands too. I’d eat three of those a day until the package was gone. I can’t have those in this house.
