Could you please put me on the “sidelines” for the next challenge. I’m really struggling with the mental aspect of this whole journey right now and need to focus on better food choices and workouts instead of the number on the scale. I hit 200 pounds in elementary school and 270 at my highest. I’ve spent most of my life “obese” and I can think back and know how ecstatic I would be to see the number I’m seeing now but in my twisted head I’m so focused on goal weight and how I’m not there yet. I’m no longer acknowledging and appreciating how far I’ve come. So for that I just need to step away and not weigh for a bit so I can focus on non scale improvements and victories. Hope you understand. I do still want to be part of the group but just need to get my mind right about my goals and what I see and value as progress and success in this journey. Wishing you all an amazing July filled with lots of wins and success! 😘1 -

Thank you for the pass last week! We have another vacation coming up, I will not be within scale range on 7/15/23. How would you like me to handle that notification?
So you need to be excused for the next two weeks right? I will have your weight carried over and you will be marked excused on the spreadsheet.1 -

I will support for July. Please check in and let us know how you are doing. I break my weight loss goal into 5 pound segments but I understand how you are feeling. Focus on your NSV’s and we will look forward to hearing all about them. Be proud of the weight you have lost. Over 100 ponds is am amazing accomplishment.

Thanks my friend. I have to say mobility for sure. When I first showed up on your doorstep I couldn't get from one room to the next without sitting down right away and being in extreme pain. Now I regularly zoom through 3 or 4 rooms, stand to prepare lunch and dinner, confidently take the two steep stairs to do my laundry... I have a tall hill in my backyard and at the top of that hill is a bay view. I've never seen it though because I couldn't go up the hill. Yesterday I made it half way up. Not quite able to see the bay yet, but it's getting there. All these things I once took for granted. Sometimes I stop and realize I've been on my feet for long periods of time without thinking about it and it just blows my mind.
I have neuropathy and myalgia issues from a previous injury and those have always been intensified by inflammation in my body from the poor dietary choices I made. Amazing how much the pain has come down now that I'm paying attention to my choices. Pain is absolutely at a manageable level. Sometimes I just stop and cry about this. I never want to go back.
Great progress. I have never considered diet and pain management. I have neuropathy from my diabetes so I feel for you. An inflammatory diet might be something I should look into. Do you follow an inflammatory diet?0 -

Exercise: 3/4
Yesterday, while my granddaughter and her friend played in the pool I exercised. I am missing some of my swim time as I forgot to start my watch so my converted steps would be higher. I forgot the stores are closed today. I have things to return and I need to get to the dollar store. I am about to do some packing. 😩
2 days to vacation!

Always happy to post a loss even if it's just a little one as even little losses require big steps and consistent good habits to accomplish.
Need to re-lose 1.6 pounds to get back down to the weight I had gotten down to in the middle of May.
The first time I stepped on the scale this morning it said 143.2 pounds which would've been a loss of 0.9 pounds which would've been even greater but when I weighed the 2nd time and the 3rd time the scale said 143.8 pounds so I decided to go with the number that showed up more than once and seemed to be the number the scale settled in on and stuck with.

I noticed I went up 1 lb this week and it bothered me a little but it isn't going to get me down. It's been a stressful week at work with end of the month. I'm changing some things by starting meal prep on Sunday so I'll have meals ready and can eat them rather than trying to cook after a late night at work. Perhaps then I won't be eating so late at night right before bed.2 -

Absolutely! I love to read this. Best of luck to you making those small changes. Also try a tsp of ACV in a glass of water a little bit after your very last meal and try to make your last meal no later than 6-7pm. I noticed that ACV curbs any later cravings as well as so many other benefits!0 -
ACV (Apple cider vinegar) might be gross but very little mixed in a glass of water and I am used to it. Add some lemon or honey. I swear it melts fat every night I sleep lol. Hope it's a good thing to do. Research seems to be fine with it0

@Stacimfit - what is ACV?0

I'm not against the ACV, I am considering adding it to my water myself because I like the taste. But read up on it, it will strip the potassium out of your body. So make sure you know if you are getting enough potassium.1

Hi everyone. I'm way out of sync here. Been traveling for personal and for work and am totally off track. Hoping I can get it together this weekend.
