    @ashleycarole86 if you heard something akin to a hyena on an oxygen tank, yes - that was me CACKLING at the Cowboys. GO PACK GO!!!!!!!!!!

    obviously having a good day here but yoga was surprisingly frustrating today. It was another core-heavy video and I was just not having it. Something to examine later. I did get through it, at least.

    Planning to make a cheesy jalapeno chicken recipe that I used to LOVE and haven't made in quite a while for my dinner this week, with crispy roasted broccoli and white rice on the side. if it sounds appetizing to anyone, here's the recipe: https://www.thechunkychef.com/one-pan-cheesy-jalapeno-chicken/#wprm-recipe-container-10122

    I have tomorrow off from work for the MLK holiday in the US so I am very excited to sleep in. no alarms!

    @wishfuljune - wow 11 hr work days. Hope that slows down for you.

    @ashleycarole86 - more days staying away from drinking is progress. Nice job.

    @strong_fit_ells - please be kind to yourself. We don't feel like you are letting the team down. the scale is only one measurement of yourself and in the scheme of life is small. This is something I remind myself often because it's easy to go down the rabbit hole of berating yourself just on one thing.

    @Kali225 Chicken combined with jalapenos and cheese sounds heavenly - I will keep this one tucked away and try it later on.

    @Gidgitgoescrzy I'm not a winter driver either - any bit of ice and cold and I'm super slow and stressed when it comes to driving

    @MaddawgMadsen wow some big changes coming your way with a new move. Hope everything goes smoothly with the purchase.

    I know my weight is all over the map but overall, I feel so much stronger and leaner and a downward trend. That said I'm off to Mexico in 2 weeks and it can't come soon enough. This cold snap we've had over here had me going crazy with cabin fever. I know I go a little wacky if I don't get some outdoor time with the dog every day and the last 5 days have been brutally cold. On the flip side I enjoyed some time by the fire reading my book this weekend.

    @Gidgitgoescrzy So glad you got out of your terrible traffic situation this morning! And go Subaru! I have a Crosstrek with studded tires. Much of my driving is on gravel roads, so it sure helps to have the killer traction when the weather gets stupid and turns the packed snow surface to a skating rink. At least I don't have traffic to worry about! I don't know how you do it. Glad your unflappable hubs will give you a lift tomorrow!

    @strong_fit_ells I'm so glad you're not letting the bump in the road throw you! The new scale sounds great - I have never used one of those body composition scales, so I want to hear all about how it goes for you. It would be good to be able to see the body composition change in numbers. Cool!

    @MaddawgMadsen I'm not worried about your one day with no green check for no alcohol - you'll get right back at it I'm sure! Glad you put an offer on a house - that 's fantastic! I hope it goes through.

    I have been enjoying seeing everyone's green checks on the habit tracker - keep that going if you're using it! Even if there are some unchecked boxes, it is solid information to see which habits are going well, which ones need some more work or need to be changed out for something else.

    Only one Tuesday weigh-in! And one catch-up:
    @adrimango
    @lauren_989

    Thanks!

    @MaddawgMadsen eeeek no helmet for a hit like that, OUCH! Glad you have gotten back out there a bit after the incident - snowboarding is tough to learn but once you get you, you got it. My first day snowboarding when I was 9, I fell off the tow rope on the bunny hill and the next (empty) tow caught the hood of my snow jacket and then I was being tugged uphill via my neck. Someone had to hit the emergency break on the tow. So that was fun! [I was totally okay but also immediately ready to go back to skiing - and I'm glad I didn't actually do that!]

    @ashleycarole86 and your Bills are onto the next! I certainly hope they finally beat the Chiefs.

    dinner was delicious but late, and followed by a late yoga session. 3 of us did dance cardio today and it was a really fun session. Might put it back on tomorrow after work.

    @wishfuljune my daughter hosts our DND game. Just started playing with her and her friends. You will love your living room when it is complete.

    @jugar thanks. Not really watching my food enough. Working on consistently working out now.

    Got in a Zumba workout and upper body on the FitOn app.

    @zumbaforever What movie did you see?

    @Gidgitgoescrzy Eek - yes I hate commuting days like that. I get car anxiety myself so I can totally relate. We are supposed to get snow today so I am crossing my fingers my commute home isn't too bad. It's normally 45-50 minutes home on a good day.

    @MaddawgMadsen Congrats on the offer on the house - how did it go? Your pizza and wine night sounds like and Brad - life feels worthy of celebration, a bottle of wine is opened, and suddenly I'm eating all the food. I can relate to that story for sure!

    @strong_fit_ells Glad you weighed in with us. I have a body that can retain a ton of water weight after a big holiday and I have posted many a huge gain - this team is here for support and we are better to have you with us. No one should ever feel BAD about a gain from the team perspective, you're here, acknowledging where you're at.. and we will rally behind you!

    @Kali225 @MaddawgMadsen I live an hour from the Rocky Mountains and just the most amazing ski hills and I cannot ski or snowboard. It's a shame. All the talk of snowboarding and I look out my window and see the mountains and all I can do is hike them. HA! I did grow up in Manitoba where it was a hill and not a mountain so I wasn't primed for it ;) When I moved to Alberta I tried skiing once or twice but a friend got a serious injury one of my first times out and I think that freaked me out. Then in my 20s I tried snowboarding without lessons (just an ex that thought he could teach me) and it was really hard and I haven't tried since. So much respect for those that can though - what a fun winter activity.

    And yes @Kali225 GO BILLS! What a fun wild card weekend. Time to go destroy our next opponents :)

    I've been up since 2 AM - on occasion our dog asks out in the middle of the night and it's no big deal because I can usually fall asleep right away when it's my turn to take her out. This morning though for whatever reason I just tossed and turned for 1.5 hours.... eventually I was driving myself mad so I decided to come downstairs and get caught up on here. Not sure if that's the best idea but I didn't figure driving myself crazy in bed was a good idea either. It will be an early night to bed tonight! Work is crazy hectic due to lots of meetings and the effects of the extreme cold on our operations so that's probably part of it...

    Hate posting a gain for the team but not really concerned about the number. Last week was crazy - onsite with clients 3 days then had to work evenings as well, no exercise and no logging. But I'm back from my beach reset and set up for success this week. 9 weeks until my conference.

    @adrimango your beachy getaway sounds so lovely! I am not a big beach person in the summer but there is something about the ocean in the off season that is absolutely captivating.

    @ashleycarole86 I see that new pro pic!! so cute

    Got snow here, too. It was actually so lovely to see it in the morning, but by early afternoon it turned to sleeting rain, and by the time I left the office, all the sidewalks were dangerously icy. Hope things have been salted or melted by tomorrow morning!

    I am halfway through the 30 day yoga journey w/Adriene on youtube, and loving it. Had to stay a bit late at work and I am quite tired now. going to try harder to get to sleep at a reasonable hour this week.
