So I have my first 3 days at the new job in and I’m loving it. It’s different than my old one as I was in private care looking after one person and this is in long term care. I’m busy all day with very little down time which I like cuz the day flies by. I have been very tired though. Getting up at 530 is harder than I thought. My normal time is 6 so what’s a half hour right? lol. I guess a lot cuz I have been in bed by 830 most nights this week. Hahaha. But I’m excited to weigh in tomorrow. Not sure what I will be but I have been trying hard to stay the coarse. We shall see.5

@trooworld No problem we can do whichever you prefer, you're so good at always reporting I went to scroll back to make sure I hadn't missed it and saw your comment. I usually try to come in late morning on Saturdays to catch any last-minute weigh-ins before Jugar closes the week so if you don't have it up then I can put the previous weigh-in. I can fix it after she closes the week but then the stats are done for the week and you'd miss the chance to be a top winner or for it to go to toward the team.0 -

@ninyagwa LOL Diva is a great name for her, that's a lot of meowing! I went with my brother and nephews to get a cat and she kept poking her arms out of the holes of the box she was put in trying to claw us, pretty funny. I'm glad the meetings went well, I don't have the best attention span either. Oh no that stinks about the nurse practitioner, there are definitely some stinkers in medical care. Sounds like you're doing awesome aside of the cry fest, very insightful of you to consider how your responses affect her day.

@reshii_devi Those are great favorite lines! Great job stopping with just a little snack food. I'm not the best at moderating but I try every once and awhile and usually end up having to get it out of the house. I hope you're able to catch up on rest this weekend.

@Divya365 Thank you! The two eggplant seedlings I brought home have barely grown in 3 weeks, I'm debating on just admitting they're duds as I don't want to end up with a plant hogging a grow bag and never getting anything out of it. I like trying new things and will be getting a farm box every other week soon so I'm sure I'll get eggplant but may still bring home one from the greenhouse. OMG Leo is the CUTEST he looks so good!
@vegan4lyfe2012 Wow so it COULD have actually been a wolf! Grocery pickup is a great call to get your salad fixings with the least amount of stress possible for you and Oliver.

Hi team! That was a little confusing responding to posts oldest first, hope it wasn't too confusing for all of you. The board meeting last night went well but the food was challenging, we had taco pie which had cornbread on top then refried beans, my salad, and margaritas followed by cake. I'm skipping dinner to make up for last night a bit. I fell asleep with my light on and Asher kept meowing at me to pet him every hour then at 6AM the carbon monoxide detector started chirping (big relief since I can't get to most the fire alarms which are wired into the house but the carbon monoxide I can reach on a chair and take out a battery and throw away). I've been resting most the day, got some work done and am listening to the Mel Robbins video now. We have rain coming in so I brought in some of the seedlings. I'm supposed to go to the Orchid Festival tomorrow with my neighbor but am waiting to see how I feel to confirm, I'll probably just wear my micro current machine to help with rain pain and go. Have a great Saturday friends. Still logging well even last night's huge meal!1 -
Hi All!
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. I think things might mellow out here now and I can be more active. I need to be more active in the group, it helps me stay on track. This past month (ish) has been a rollercoaster of emotions. We’ve had someone pass away almost every week. My aunt, a patient that my son was with in the childrens oncology unit, my friend, my sister in laws mother in law, and now my husband’s uncle. It’s a reminder to keep in touch regularly, take pictures, hug and send love. Time passes and you don’t want any regrets. I have heard so much of that these past weeks
I am still here, sadly behind in posts again. I did read them and again I will try to keep caught up.

@Katmary71 Okay thanks. I am waiting for the scale to come and then I may have to charge it. I'm happy I didn't gain this week. I'm slowly making progress in bring down how much I eat daily. My goal this week is to be as close to my calorie goal as possible without being way over.6 -

Good morning! There's not too much going on today. I have to fill Joe and my pill containers. I do it every two weeks, and it’s a pain because Joe takes pills four times a day. I plan to do my rebounder workout, which I’m really enjoying, and then work on the new puzzle I started. Tonight, I’m making low-carb enchiladas. Yum!
I realized last night that another movie quote that I say all the time is, “Are you high, Clairee?” from Steel Magnolia. I said it to my sister!

@tammymccrady6278 - That's great that you like your new job. My husband got a new job too. He said the same thing, about staying busy and the day goes by fast. The hardest part of his day is getting up in the morning. Not for me, I'm a morning person, and I like to stay up late too...hehehe. Great job staying on coarse. You've got this!

@Katmary71 - I've been doing the 200 steps an hour challenge for awhile now. I average 7/9 hours of 200 steps each day. I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on Mel Robbins video. Thank you. That means a lot. I sometimes just wish I had someone local to join me.

My husband is working all weekend. It has felt strange to have the house to myself again. The week went by so fast. I got all my seeds planted and my garden is weeded, tilled and ready for plants. I already have last years, onion, asparagus, and strawberries growing up. Today, I'll mow the grass for the first time this year. I hope everyone has a nice weekend.💪Mission Slimpossible Strong!💪

@Katmary71 Yeah I understand the plant hogging thing. It has happened to me before mostly with flower seeds. My coreopsis plant has been hogging two containers for the last 2 years, It better bloom this year or it's off to the compost pit. Eggplants grow slowly initially, I would give them a couple more weeks just to be sure. Nice, a farm box sounds interesting. I'm glad to hear that the board meeting went well, the food sounds delicious. The beeping at 6 am must be hard. Thank you

@TeresaW2024 I enjoyed Mel's video. Honestly answering it all is making me depressed because most of it is dependent on my pain issues either getting in the way because I can't do more or because I can't concentrate with my pain levels. I can take classes but if I can't concentrate because I'm in a lot of pain I'm unable to learn and just stare at the screen. I don't want to stop trying or use my pain/mobility stuff as a crutch but realistically I am limited. My main goal is to take another grant writing course, seems like something I could do career-wise that doesn't include going back to college for years. I grumbled about it all to my neighbor on the way to the Orchid Festival and feel like a buzz kill now. I'm glad the rebounder workout is enjoyable! If you like the enchilada recipe you'll have to share it with us.
@Veta2018 See one response up on the Mel Robbins video, I was able to answer some areas but others are somewhat on pause right now as I try to get to a better situation with my pain and mobility as it's interfering more than I'd prefer which left me with a goal of taking another grant writing class and trying more at the holistic clinic. I wish you had someone local to do things with too. Are there any garden clubs near you? How exciting your garden sounds perfect right now!

Hi friends! I was at the Orchid Festival and stuck around for a few lectures, it was fun and very pretty. I've been looking forward to laying in bed reading with the rain today though and will do that soon. I was grumpy from the Mel Robbins goal-setting and the rain making me feel worse didn't help, think I owe my neighbor an apology for complaining looking back on it. My neighbor and our other friend are both joining the Orchid club, partially because of doing the Mel Robbins goal-setting I'm trying to only do things I really want to do a lot so I can fit in things that are more important. Have a great night and Sunday team. Been doing good with logging and having my healthy version of pizza tonight.2 -

I have been pretty busy here lately. I have not had time to jump on here. Things are going good, I started working in my kitchen sanding down the cabinet. They needed a good cleaning and as I was cleaning them the poly was rubbing off flaking in places. The cabinets are almost 30 yrs old. It will be awhile until we get to remodeling the kitchen so this is a mini project for me.6 -

@Katmary71 I am sorry that the workbook made you depressed and reminded you of how limited you are due to your pain. Yesterday, I saw a graphic from Mel that said, “You’re allowed to leave any place, person, or situation that makes you feel bad.” My first thought was that while her quote might be true in many instances, it sure isn’t true in all cases. Being Joe’s caregiver means I’m in it until the end, no matter the struggles. You are in your struggle with pain, and that is not something you will ever be able to walk away from. But I think we can strive to make the best out of the hand we are dealt. You certainly do, and you truly inspire me!
Hello Team! Today has been good so far. We had church this morning, and our topic was overcoming our past failures. Very enjoyable. We also celebrated one of our members' 95th birthday by making her stand as we applauded her. She loved it! The last couple of days, I’ve been cleaning out my very messy closet. I have several bags to donate and all my various sizes organized. I even found a great pair of jeans that fit me right now that I wore to church. I also own so many sweatshirts that I really should live somewhere colder.
