Hi all! Tuesday steps: 9390
Taking me a while to get back in the groove...hopefully soon.3 -
I thought of the roadrunner cartoon, too, @izzyred9400. Your “beep, beep” cracked me up 😂🤣😂
The talk of birds is reminding me to go back and look at some of @Pupowl’s great photo shots.
Tomorrow, I’m taking a short camping trip with my husband and younger son. I’ll welcome bird sightings and other natural surroundings but I’d prefer not to run into any bears or rattlesnakes while we’re in West Virginia. We’ll return on Saturday and then my older son is coming for another visit from Boston. He’s been working at a local university program and the students will finish their summer session on Friday. So, he’ll be here Sunday through mid-August. It will be nice to have everyone together until both our sons return to school for their Fall semesters.
My cousin and her family are stopping here again this weekend so we’ll have a full house. It’s always a bit motivating for me to have visitors because I get a little decluttering done each time. Downsizing/decluttering is a goal of mine this year so any progress feels good, even if it’s just a minor one.1 -
I’m gradually learning more about my Garmin watch, and trying to remember to set the watch to track certain activities like outdoor rowing. It was good to find out that my rowing workout isn’t burning as many calories as the MFP exercise selection (canoeing, rowing) estimates. It’s a bit disappointing to learn about the discrepancy but it will improve the accuracy of my tracking so that’s better in the long run. Now I can make the necessary adjustments by moving more or consuming fewer calories. 🧐2

@PatriceFitnessPal I was in WV earlier this month and was hugely disappointed that I didn't see a bear. Our cabin was even on Black Bear Lane so I had high hopes.1

Still struggling to get back on track after vacation seven weeks ago. Up and down by a few pounds over and over. In the past, vacations have put me so off track that I've given up. Not this time. I'll get back on track and stay on track eventually. I hope it is sooner rather than later. I must!4 -

You’re brave @DaffyGirl88! I saw a bear while visiting Yosemite but it was the perfect distance away, and it was more Interested in some nearby garbage (secured in a bear-proof container). I had been doing archery in that area with one son and we wanted to show the other son. The bear walked past the exact spot where we had been but we saw it approaching from a safe (but close) distance. I moved behind a wall to take a picture and my son said, “Mom, aren’t we supposed to run away from the bear instead of toward the bear?!” 😂🐻😂 I definitely don’t want to encounter one too close to the campground! We’re going to Monongahela National Forest. Our friends go annually and have seen bears there. It’s a pretty remote part of the park but they have family members who live nearby so they have a lot more knowledge than I do. I’m a city girl from Boston so I’ll rely on their expertise in WV. If they need to avoid rats or cockroaches, I might be able to help more. 😂🤣😂1 -

Great job sticking to it. I often have the same problem. Right now I’m struggling to stay on track with the summer. My 11 yr old being home throws off my routine.

Thursday Weight✔️in: 165.3Sunday: Probably shoulda closed my access to the pantry late last night
Monday: Looking back at my foods I noticed that I had doubled over my sodium intake goal and even when I accounted for my binge-y day the other day, this was still the highest sodium day I’ve had in a very long while. Just because it’s “Keto” doesn’t make it’s ok to eat
Tuesday: Dang these leftover sausages! I’m under calories/carbs but me and the scale are still bloated up! At least they’re gone now..
Wednesday: bloat is gone and feeling better today👍1 - Log / Und-Cs&Cs / 1Hr-Exe / No drinking ?

I purchased Daisy brand 2% Cottage Cheese from Costco, good price... however I can't stomach the texture, seems as if they added some sour cream to it... just too creamy. I love Knudson's with chopped cucumber, salt & pepper for lunch... but this one just doesn't work for me.
I don't want to waste it. Does anyone have any ideas what I can make with it? I saw a cheesecake recipe that sounds good... but I am hoping for something more calorie friendly0 -

We live in a 3-story condo, and I was getting ready for work, and my walk before work... well I kept forgetting stuff and ended up getting 13 floors of steps in! Very frustrating... the old me (1 week ago) would have just said #&@* and skipped the walk and headed off to work... new me (today) didn't let it get the better of me, and I got my full planned 30 min walk in! This makes me happy!5 -

@looneycatblue You can use cottage cheese instead of ricotta in lasagna, either with meat or veggies...hope this helps. Only thing I could think of...

@Pupowl Had to work late yesterday and came home, finished my steps for the day, ate a little something and went straight to bed. My schedule has been insane lately, so sorry for not doing much spreadsheet updating. Thank you so much for covering when things get crazy...hoping that calms down soon.
Everyone...enjoy your Friday tomorrow!

Saw some lower #'s earlier this week but yesterday was a big leg day at the gym so feeling some soreness today. This is 7 weeks of tracking and being in a deficit and diet fatigue is starting to set in. I see some of you have total LTD in the 20+ lb range and I'm very impressed knowing the time and dedication it takes to achieve that - it's motivating me at the moment.
Still working on trying to consume enough protein, I'm nowhere near the 1 g/lb level that I've seen recommended. Going to look into more ideas this weekend. I refuse to go near cottage cheese tho I know that's all the rage these days. Wishing everyone a good weekend ahead.5 -
