I wrote a note for my cat sitter with instructions about Earl's care. I left it on the kitchen counter with his food. Last night when Rich got home, he called me out to the kitchen. In his most serious voice, he said " I see the note you wrote for Earl...You know he can't read, right?"

@Katmary71 It’s so interesting how natural oils are so beneficial for us. Plus, it’s way cheaper than most skin care products. I hope you have a good day and don’t overdo it too much at the Blackberry Festival.
@trooworld I just paid the credit card bill attached to my Amazon account, and it makes me think having shopping apps on my phone isn’t the best idea.
Speaking of Amazon savings, have you ever scrolled your order history? I don't know if we should have that much evidence of all the crap we have purchased over the years.

Good morning! Not much going on today. I will do a good workout today because I took yesterday off. Joe and I will watch the USA women’s Olympic soccer team hopefully beat Brazil. I don’t like many sports at all, but I do like soccer, and the Olympics are fun to watch. Last night we were watching breakdancing. Who knew that could be an Olympic sport?

I watched t.v. and grazed on the stuff 2 nights in a row. The scale certainly reflected that this morning.

@trooworld What was the other bad Skinnytaste recipe? At first I didn't like her Santa Fe zucchini boats but I did when I tried them a second time. LOL we DO have a lot of festivals, there's a group of farms an hour away that go through the different fruits but there's also a lot between here and Sacramento too. I hope the traffic isn't too bad I know the LA traffic is horrible!

@TeresaW2024 Thank you! I'm super exhausted but didn't overdo it, just need some rest. Hope the soccer game is a great one!
@DrewsAnna I like popcorn too yum, definitely don't sit with a bag by you pour it into a bowl if you're having it! It's sad I grew up where you basically ate a whole sleeve of cookies or bag of something and it's been hard to unlearn (which is why I was saying pour some in a bowl).
Hi team! I made it to the farmer's market then got my veggie box and put everything away then my neighbor and I went to Apple Hill, I only got a couple things but obviously today wasn't as healthy as it should've been I'm completely exhausted now, still need to water then I'm climbing in bed. I'm hoping tomorrow will be a rest day as well but may be doing some work. Have a great Sunday!5 -

Looks like holidays got the better of me. I thought all that walking, swimming, and lack of mid day snacks would have been good, but I guess it didn’t negate the burgers. Skipped out on fries several times and tried to go diet when possible. Found a place the family enjoyed where I could get vegetables! My body doesn’t allow for salad or many healthy veggies without repercussions (which is bad on a road trip). Let’s hope it’s a salt retention issue. Will have to pay attention to intake this week! Best to you all.5 -

@trooworld Oh that artichoke pie looks so good, I can see where mozzerella and artichoke would be underwhelming. I was finding that with a lot of the egg muffin recipes lacking flavor too hers and others where the cheese, herbs, meat, or veggies needs some excitement (my fav so far is heirloom tomatoes, basil, and feta). WOW that drive home (or sitting in traffic forever) sounds awful! I hope you share pics from the sanctuary!

Hi team! Taking it easy today, I'm getting indoor and outdoor stuff out around the house and hopefully spending some time reading. A charity board member is coming by to drop off a plant I left at the farmer's market at our booth Thursday night. Getting back on track, I just took out the garbage and I've been eating a lot of junk the last few days, time to get back to it! How is everyone else doing? Have a great Sunday night and Monday!5 -

Was hoping for a loss but happy that early week gain didn’t stick. I wonder about my scale, how it is exactly the same. Not complaining, moving along. My diet has been good. Steps are on track.
@micaroo4 I think writing a note to Earl would be just fine. 😂 My husband wouldn’t be surprised if I left notes for my girls. 😂
@TeresaW2024 ohhh online shopping. I have anxiety about it which is what saves my bank. The dread of returns, a possible scam has me paranoid. My friend does almost all her shopping online, sometimes I ask her to grab for me too. 😂
@Katmary71 I am happy that the charity is smoothing out. You seem busier than ever. I miss the festivals, but probably better or I would be having all the treats. Cherry and fig season was great this year. But no pies or tarts were made. Which is why I haven’t ballooned up. Lol🤪
@trooworld 4.5 hours of traffic is awful. I would have stayed home too. Is it a good scenic drive though?
@19shmoo69 for your question, if I understood correctly. This group has kept me going. It’s been a rock that I need. The amount of support is amazing. Plus you all are fun to interact with. It’s cozy around here. Everyone is always welcoming. The weekly questions are great too, we get to know each other better.

Well no new news from me. Busy deep cleaning and organizing before I leave for a month. Packing a bag, doing some light shopping for the youngest. Not much else.

It's great to see that everyone is doing well. Going to chime in on @19shmoo69 question I am glad I found this group when I did. My mornings start with reading how everyone is doing. Following along with each and everyone helps get me focused on my day. Here is a little something about me I don't have anyone that I can call my BFF or hang out with. Making friends is very hard for me as I have trust issues. So coming on here and reading about y'all is as close to having friends that I can talk too. Without this group I would have most likely given up. Everyone of you has inspired me to keep going. I love being a part of your life.
It has been very crazy around here in the mornings I try to get Diesel out before the heat sets in with it being almost 80 with the sun coming up does not help. He is doing great with his training. But if I don't stay on top of him he really tries to get away with things.
I have been struggling with food choices but this week I pulled out my binder of recipes and made my menu for the week. We will see how it goes.
I have another dental appt tomorrow for a filling that I found out about at my last appt.

Good morning! I've got to do a rush post because I slept in later than usual, and Joe got up earlier than his normal time. Today, we have our dentist appointments, which neither of us is happy about, but what can we do? We need our teeth!
I have to go work out and get to Aldi before it gets too hot. Ya'll have a great day, and let's make this an awesome week!!

Good morning

Yesterday I kind of laid around in self-pity all day. My husband works 7 days a week, usually 6am until midnight. (farmer) and I sometimes get into a really low space when I dwell on him never being home. Unfortunately on those days I have two different eating modes: eating for comfort and eating for self destruction. Just depends if I’m feeling sad or I’m feeling angry.
But today I got myself out of bed earlier. I have a goal: we have friends coming tomorrow to spend a couple days so I have to do some shopping and some cleaning. Yesterday I spent so much of the day horizontal. I just wanted to sleep. Today, that’s not happening.
No pity party today. I’m just going to get to it.
I have to admit though, as nice as it is to have summers off, my mental health is not good in the summer.
So here’s to a day for me to get off my butt, use my time wisely and spend some time outdoors.5
