Garmin usually has two step-related challenges each month, plus there are two step-related challenges that involve consistency:
* total of 100,000 steps over a 14 day period
* total of 300,000 steps during the whole month
* 10,000 steps per day for 30 days in a row
* hit your daily steps goal (whatever you've set it to) for 60 days in a row

Daily step goal: 10,000
Tue 8/27: 10,400
Wed 8/28: 11,863

@pedal__power Remember there's going to be another team Step Challenge in September! I've forgotten which week but @jessicakrall8 can tell you.3 -
Hi all, I just wanted to check in as I'm gearing up to join you in a couple of days.
I saw a new psychiatrist yesterday (I really liked her!) and she's having me start Wellbutrin. One of its "side effects" can be appetite decrease, which I wouldn't mind happening. I'm cautiously hopeful it'll be a small tool in helping me lose weight (it'll be minimal, but any extra help would be appreciated).
My boys are spending the weekend with my mom and husband is going on a little weekend trip for his fantasy football league draft, so I'm planning to use some of my alone time food planning and prepping, and try to start back at the gym-the first time back is always the hardest for me.
The last few days, I have been trying to get back in the habit of logging all food and increase my activity, but these are still works in progress.
Overall, I think my head is in the right space to take on the challenge of changing my lifestyle (again). I'm a bit annoyed with myself (and slightly embarrassed) that I fell off so bad and undid almost a year's worth of work in a couple of months, but this is where I am at now, and I know what I have to do to correct, and I'm ready.
@frankwbrown I also appreciate the information you share about Garmin! I'm thinking of switching from Fitbit when I get my new watch for my birthday in late September.5 -
I finished my last August challenge this morning, a day early. 😊
I'll be just walking tomorrow, so I'm curious to see how my legs feel on Sunday. They aren't sore, like after a Sierra Club hike, but I have definitely felt them more these past two weeks. I'm hoping at least part of my recent weight gain is due to water retention needed for muscle repair. The fact that I was able to ride 200km in 2 weeks makes me wonder if I can sustain that effort and ride 400km in a month. So that's one of my goals for September.August Ride to 200 - record 200 kilometers of cycling activities from August 18-315 -

@frankwbrown is out Garmin Guru...I asked him a while back to post new challenges / badges as they come open...he really is a walking encyclopedia on "all things Garmin"! Thanks Frank! He helped me pick out my Garmin watch when I stopped using Fitbit after they dropped all of their challenges and I just love it. We have a new challenge with the four of us who use Garmin watches now...running Sep 1-15...if anyone else joins the Garmin family, post it here and we'll all add you and then you can join our custom challenges too! The more the merrier!

this weigh in surprised me as i've been down with a cold/flu for about 2 weeks and my eating has been a bit all over the place. but thus marks almost 12 weeks of ci/co, deficit tracking total loss 9 lbs. Next week is my last week before my goal week which is having to travel for an in person staff meeting, and wanting to feel confident and more comfortable in my own skin. my typical work from home attire is not appropriate and i have to wear actual pants for a whole week! lol...
i'll give myself a break from tracking during that week, but i plan to attempt to lose another 10lbs by may 2025. i'm signed up for the same half marathon and it will be interesting how that will go being 20lbs lighter - it has to make a difference right?? when i pick up the 20lb dumbell at the gym that sucker is heavy!
all this garmin talk has been intrigued, i'm on my second watch and i love it so much but i have never looked at these challenges. i just opened that part of the app today and had a look. sounds like a very good motivator to get moving. happy badge hunting fellow shape shifters!6 -

I am of course biased. I chose a Garmin watch over 10 years ago and I've stuck with them ever since (I'm on my fourth watch). Garmin has a wide variety of watches, some tailored to specific sports - like golf, swimming, running, scuba diving - but most are multisport watches that support a wide range of sport activities and health metrics.

Not surprised by that, spent the day teleworking and babysitting the grandson. While it felt like I ran after him all day. Day. Long. It didn't add up to much. 😂
D21/75 sort of fell apart there, didn't exercise or log all my food. But am getting back on the wagon and already have a good start on today. 👍
Enjoy the weekend everyone!5 -

Hi everyone,
I just signed up to join you in the September round. I was apart of this team a few months ago and had some success. I was even closing in on my goal. But then life hit hard (I'll probably share more at later time) and I ran. I spiraled hard. And I gained a butt load of weight in not a lot of time.
I am now back, with my tail between my legs, and I'm pretty sure weighing more than when I originally joined, determined to get my life back on track. I'm glad I'm back here and looking forward to starting with you next week.

On a wild whim, I registered for a 10k race at the end of January. I haven't done any running since probably March. So I hit the gym for the first time this afternoon. I ran a slow mile and walked for 20 minutes, so I have some work to do. But I like having a goal to work towards to give me some extra motivation.
I'm excited to officially start this challenge with you guys tomorrow. This challenge is also great for motivation!5 -
@jessicakrall8 thanks for the request,I was going to join but then this happened 😪
I tried fixing it with gaffer tape but that didn't work.I had it in my handbag yesterday & it recorded my steps. Now it has run out of charge & I can't connect the charger as its snapped in just that place !
I'm off to Greece again in a few days so please could you put me on support for the next four weeks. So I decided to have a month off the Step Challenge too.I decided to take a break from logging my food & just enjoy my holiday.
Hope I don't regret it when I get back on the scales !
My steps for 8/31 14,314 still not enough to catch up with @Pupowl 🤪

@izzyred9400 What a bummer that it broke like that! I hope you have a lovely time in Greece. It sounds kinda nice to take a break from everything for a bit. I sometimes feel like a slave to my fitbit! But it is for the better I guess. You came pretty close this month with steps. I had a really lazy last week of the month, so I did some extra stepping yesterday so I would at least have 100k total for the week.3
