I have the same issue with quote, was going to say "glad it's not just me", but am I? Not really. It does give me more hope though that it may one day be fixed, since it's not just me 😝

I have seen others use it, on the same threads I cannot…

I even have some of the ingredients in, ready to go! Just have to ignore them until the time is right…they are socked away but still in the house!

Many bunnies in a chocolate salad. Just sayin' 🍫

So I've noticed (this time not being an exception) that almost every time the "travelling girl" goes back I seem to "gain a few lbs".

Now, I've always attributed this to:
    — I try to lose a bit before she arrives (usually)
    — I don't log and we eat out exclusively or definitely a LOT more than "usually" when she is here

So… it is understandable that there is a rebound after.

BUT. I've often "wondered" as to why it is usually the case that my weight JUST AFTER her departure is within parameters and not very elevated at all. But, a few weeks or a month after, THAT is when the weight seems to shoot up.

Well. Guess where my current consumption level of chocolate bunnies is as compared to before or during? And also where my activity level is with having to catch up to the rest of life that was partially placed on hold

    Exactly. Not a good combo.

My logging for the past week indicates a legit full 4000 Cal surplus (+1lb) which is certainly evident on the scale. UGH.

Looking to Laurie and Yooly for good examples to be inspired by :-)

Mr. PAV - have you considered an emotional component here? You MISS your woman and her companionship. Days and nights are a bit empty and quiet? So you fill the void with a bit more comforting food. It takes a while before you adjust to lacking her physical presence and regain your equilibrium.

    Ms Yooly!

Me-thinks that you are a placard carrying member of the worldwide "indispensable women" conglomerate....

... Certainly an affirmation such as the one you intimate would result in fluffy tails and extra attitude by a certain someone

And I am not so sure she should be encouraged?!!!🤪

There is a vanishingly small chance you COULD POSSIBLY be onto something. But that should be OUR secret!🤔

Ah let her know PAV! Bet she feels the same way? Later in life you learn to regret those little things you left unsaid.

Maybe a bit of both? A little extra munching to make up for her loss, less activity, I'm always prone to "relief" eating after being very busy for a length of time. Not that you would be relieved for her to leave - but it must be quite an exciting few weeks when you are together - and then you need to decompress???

Ah…but what is a few pounds to shed when the reward is love :) 💘

I've been very good lately - trying my best to be a fine example :) Those Ryvitas and Laughing Cow triangles are very very useful for the end of day top ups. I owe you both, Yooly and PAV.

Well, after my brave words, chocolate bunnies leapt out of my cupboard and into my mouth. "Only" 500-600 calories worth, but all over my calorie target for the day (as if filling up on regular salad was any match!!).

Anyhoo, they're tuck away again, hoping they stay there until the weekend…🙏

    Happy Easter!

Pictures going up for 7 days….

since 66.666666% is a strong discount, I would try taking that of off 999 and plugging it in there for a password…. in other circles it would also be known as HALF evil! ;-)

If only the happiness and joy on your and CCCGG’s faces could be bottled! How you can bear to part is beyond me but I guess it works somehow…..

And you sure didn’t skimp on the eating! Wow - some of those plates looked heavier than you. The Easter buffet was pretty impressive too.

    Happy times!

I have it in good authority that none of the plates had left overs! 🤯

As to the rest we shall see what happens Yooly: The best-laid schemes o’ mice an’ men Gang aft agley! 😳

Oh my heart. The pictures of you, PAV, and CCCGG have my eyes leaking a wee bit.
    Thank you for sharing.
And your amazing meals! What more can anyone ask for in life? Except of course a fine canine and she was there too :)

Prepping for my trip to Canada 🇨🇦 in the fall. Hoping not to be too embarrassed by the political situation. Got me a new shirt. Maybe I should have bought the “Elbows Up” …..

That is a really lovely shirt. 🫠

I too am hoping things will have improved come Fall. I do think Americans are still most welcome visitors tbh, probably especially in the Maritimes as there is so much shared history.
