Today I only got 1.18 miles and 2.8 mph. I know where I ran a bit short on the length…one trip around the cul-de-sac due to the mowers being active there. I thought I was moving quickly, though. Sometimes it seems like the harder I push it, the more likely I won't hit the 3mph. Oh, well…getting the walk is the main thing.

I fixed potato soup tonight for dinner and decided to start throwing stuff into it. It turned out good…mashed potatoes and gravy from dinner the other night fit into the soup really well, but I had no idea how to count the calories. I just found a potato soup listed in the application and went with a mid-calorie one listed. I'm thinking the day will end about 1100 calories….if the potato soup is close.

There is a commercial with a lady who pretty much stops everyone in her neighborhood to chat with them or call out to them. I thought about trying to go for a walk in that neighborhood! When we lived in Hickory, there were a couple of houses that I had to speed by because I would get called out to and end up having a half-hour conversation. I didn't really mind because one of them was an old invalid man and he just needed folks to talk to. He and Wade would often chat when Wade was walking the dog. The other one who would stop me I could say, "see you in a bit, I need to finish my walk," and she would just wait for me. She an I talked often since she was just across the street from us.

I'm down to 234 this morning, a five - six pound loss (I've yo-yo'd between 239-240 for a loooong time!) I made a piece of toast to add to my breakfast because the weight is coming off too fast - it hasn't even been a week! I'd love to keep losing at this rate, but it's not healthy. Finding something to eat that doesn't hurt is the problem. I'm going to give chicken a try this evening and see how that does. I'm also going to give some walking around the house a try since my leg pain is down to very mild! Praise the Lord!

The weight loss is a good thing, but not because you aren't feeling well. Hope that you are doing better today. Remember the BRAT diet for upset tummies. Don't know if you can eat these, but Bill's doctor keeps reminding me of this.
    Bananas
    Rice
    Applesauce
    Toast.

I can eat bananas in a peanut butter sandwich, but not by themselves. I did do a peanut butter tortilla last night and it seems to have been alright, no pain. Maybe I will add a banana to that! Mmmm, that sounds yummy! I don't like rice, but I have done applesauce and toast! I did do some fish and fries last night and they seemed to sit fine, so I am probably healing! Unfortunately I regained a pound after having a normal dinner! Wade made me some chicken this morning so I could have it for lunch, just chicken sautéed in some Olive oil. I'll have that and applesauce for lunch! I do feel better. That mild nausea seems to have gone away and the ache isn't nearly as strong as it had been. And another Praise the Lord, my leg has been doing much better. I'm able to lift my right leg off of the floor more than I had been able to. It still hurts to sit down or stand up, but not nearly as much as it did! God has blessed!

I am running a tad high on calories, but shouldn't be out of control. I did get a 1.18 mile walk in this morning right after breakfast.

I turned down French Onion Dip when Wade went shopping. I like to dip my pretzels in that for a snack, but decided I didn't need those calories! I will use a small container to get some pretzels for a snack too.

I did do three laps around the house, but, boy, I got tired really quickly. Will need to do that every day to build up my strength and try to add a lap each day.

I ended yesterday fairly well, but today was a total bust. I had a dentist appointment and couldn't eat solid food until right at dinner time, and even then was partially numb. I was eating anything soft we had in the house. Tomorrow is another day.

Oh my, I remember those days when I had to have a tooth out or an implant put in. It always seemed like the next day before I could eat without chomping on my cheek or lip!

Luckily, I only had a small cavity that needed filled, but I was wondering if I would ever get the feeling back, then I couldn't understand why I had a sore spot in my gums….DUH!

Today, I didn't want to leave Bill for very long, and I had a sore hip all night long. Usually when it acts up, walking helps get the soreness out, but today it was barking. I did the shortest circle but my pedometer also shows the trip to the grocery store for a quick trip (2 bananas, some pasta, pasta sauce and stamps). Anyway it shows .97 mile at 2.6 mph.

Calories will probably be around 1050.

About 1.2 mile walk, but ate a few more calories than my norm … I had to do an Amazon return at Kohls and Wendy's was there, and it was dinner time, and a Frosty was calling my name. I really only am over by about 100, so not bad.

Wow, you did great keeping it to just 100 over with a Wendy's dinner.

I am bound and determined to keep this week treat-free! Wade offered to scrape the chocolate off of a Bavarian Cream donut for me last night, but I'd already had a bowl of ice cream. I was so ready to say "yes" because I love a Bavarian Cream donut - but I said "NO!" And that will be my word the rest of the week!

I wound up 45 over yesterday, so not bad. I knew that Wendy's biggie bag (chicken) with a frosty as drink didn't kill the calories. I learned that earlier. Wendy's is really close and frostys call my name once in a while.

Today I got my full walk in and at the 3mph goal. Yeah!!!! I should wind up at about 1050 calories.

I actually got a little closer to 1100 yesterday…added a little to my snack.

Today I have 1.5 miles in (some are parking lot and building at mom's…that was the cool part. My actual walk (around 1.2 miles) was HOT! I didn't even try to walk fast, just more of a quick stroll because I didn't want to get too hot. Even at that, I am showing 2.9 mph. I must have walked fast in the cooler weather and the building.

I'm at just under 2 miles today (but the day is not over yet). Same for yesterday - just under 2 miles. Sunday I walked nearly 4 miles. I'm trying to watch the snacks... Hopefully I'll have lost a pound or two by the time I get home on Friday.

You guys are doing awesome! I'm happy if I can break 1000 steps!

I'm saying NO to treats. I haven't felt very good the last three days so I haven't been doing much other than lying around or napping. This too shall pass! I need to get me a stick like Gandalf and then I can hit the ground and tell the sickness, You shall not pass! But it can only pass if the Lord allows, and He will bring healing in His time.

    Love you

Hope you are on the mend. My walk today was about 1.25 mile. It would probably be good if I stuck my phone in my pocket to check daily steps. I tried a smart watch and didn't like it because I had to wear it, among other things.

I'm at 2,785 steps so far (1.36 miles), but we're headed to the airport and I'm sure I'll get more.

CIndy - I'm sure the airport will be LOTS more.

My walk was 1.19 miles, so I'm sure that a trip to Mom's will add some to it later. I weighed this morning and now am at -14.2 since I finally decided to loose this weight I gained over the last couple of years. Now, I have about 20 more to go.

You were right - I ended yesterday at 7,600 steps (3.68 miles). I still don't think I'm losing any weight. I think some of that might be due to my broken sleep schedule.

Sleep schedules are important, but for the first time in ages my sleep is sporadic due to having one ear open for Bill all night. Luckily he has been sleeping really well the last few nights.

I did get really good sleep last night. I went to sleep around 12:30 AM and didn't wake until 8:55 AM. I still feel like I want to go back to bed, but I've felt like that my whole life. I want to know what those people on commercials take who wake up feeling refreshed and throw their arms up over their heads! I think my tiredness is the combination of meds I take to help me get a good nights rest!

    Yo-yoing again.

So far today 1.33 miles (but that includes Aldi) at 2.9 mph. I got home from Aldi (never actually go to the store to grocery shop, so was a treat) and decided to scrub scum off the back of the house. I don't really know what it is, but the HOA mentioned mold on the houses. I really think it is more like sap from trees, but whatever it is, there is a lot of it in our subdivision and they wanted us to know that it's our job to keep up with it. Ours wasn't bad and at the back of the house right by the woods, so wouldn't be seen, but it was kind of ugly. I still have a little more to do, but thought it could wait for another day.

I'm at 3,299 steps (about 1.57 miles) so far. On the plane now, so I'll be sedentary for several hours. Can't wait to sleep in my own bed… even if it's only for two nights.

Welcome Home, Cindy! Hope you rested well.

Our fence out front and around the deck gets a green coating on it and Wade power washes it off with bleach. He had to do Mom's house often because the whole side and back would get that green coating on it. I think it's more like algae than mold.

Not much walking for me, but I am trying to get out on the covered porch and get some fresh air!
