The window panes sure sound beautiful at Christmas time. I am almost brought to tears as if I had "pain" in my brain imagining the fascinating decorations.

Christmas is a special time. I think we all gain something good from that beautiful season.

We gain insight into the promised Messiah during the Christmas season. There are many parades about Santa, but not so much about who the season is about - how he was born in a stable and "lain" in a cattle manger. Not much of a welcome for a king!

I hear you Linda Christmas is Jesus Celebrating the Birth of our Messiah, few years back our Department store windows displayed Manger Scenes with Baby Jesus Lain in a Manger with Christmas hymns and carols playing, these days like you said Linda all about Santa…big Sigh 😔 but you are right Susan we Christians can Gain somethings about the Christmas Season. For me the Main Theme for Christmas is celebrating the Birthday of the King!

Christmas is about Jesus our Saviour for me, too. He did choose a humble way to make His entrance. Not what the world was expecting at all. They wanted a warrior king and they got one, but not in the way they were expecting. The skies were clear and there was no rain when He was born.

yes Susan, a lovely day for our Lord and Savior to be born! Always nice when skies clear and no Rain. Thinking of Old Testament days, wonder what the day was like when Cain and Abel were born. Hope Cain came into the world in clear skies and no rain.

It is a good question about the weather when Jesus or Cain were born. I believe that when Jesus raised the son to life of the widow that lived in "Nain" the weather must have been good since they were all walking in a procession to bury him.

I guess the weather was good also, when Jesus was lain in His tomb.

Amen Amen Susan and this is the Main theme of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! If there were No Cross of Calvary, and if there were No Death and if there were no Resurrection there would be No Salvation, it’s all because of Jesus what He Did by Shedding His Blood, taking the Nails that Nailed Him to Calvary’s Cross, Taking the Sins of the World, my Sins Nailed to Calvary’s Cross so I could be Forgiven, Washed & Cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb and have Abundant Life in Christ Jesus my Lord!

This is the Main reason that the Gift of Salvation is offered to Whosoever will Call Upon the Name of the Lord will be Saved! Glory to God! ✝️

Salvation is free to all but we need to want it. We are not robots that God can move where ever He wants. God is a gentleman and gives us a choice to receive his salvation or not. God made the offer, it is "man's" response to that love that is very important.

Linda, I already posted the word MAIN and you have Posted MANS so I will leave this for Susan to respond but I just had to shout out a Amen to your Post!

Amen Praise the Lord! I am so thankful that God made the Offer through His Son Jesus, I so remember the day I accepted the offer on August 15th and asked Jesus to come into my Heart and forgive me of my sins. ✝️

Mens' hearts must also repent of their sins in order to be saved. Recognising that Christ is the sacrifice and cover for own sin is so important. When God looks upon the saved, He sees the righteousness of His pure, sinless Son instead of our own unrighteous, sinful selves.

Repentance is a very important part of salvation. This repentance results in a change of heart and mind to serve God and not what our sinful natures desire. I am so glad that God "sent" his son so that we could become His children and live in heaven with Him.

Amen, I too am grateful that God Sent His Son, I remember when Doug the Bus Captain who came to my home and shared Jesus with me he spoke about repentance and the new life I would have; I said to him how will I know if I really repented, he said Judith you will know, so when I prayed with Doug I soon realized as I asked Jesus to come into my heart and I truly repented of my sins it wasn’t long after I realized my life had completely changed, I wasn’t the same gal that Doug had come to see, the desire to live my own life, for Wine and Smoking was no longer there, the desire to party with friends was gone. Friends said, what happened to you, you always liked to dance and spend the evening drinking with us. It was then I really saw that Judith had truly changed.I am grateful and thankful that Jesus Went to the Cross and laid down His life for you and for me…Praise the Lord!
