Good point Linda, sorry about you having to wear a knee brace. We will have to be careful. Yes we don’t want any Races running from Bears.
RACES0 -
I hope we find no trace of bears till we have the pears in place, but best to bring your brace, Linda. Just in case.
TRACE

yes good idea Susan it’s best that Linda brings her brace to protect her knee! I sure hope there is no Trace of any Bears. However we best Brace ourselves just in case!
BRACE

I am well braced with my knee brace and mentally watching carefully for the bears who do not realize that we have pears for them. Judith are you ready with the pears? The bears can get "craby" when they are hungry.
CRABY (yes spelling wise it is crabby)

Linda I am smiling with the spelling of CRABY 😆 Yes I am ready with the Pears as the Bears not only get CRABY but they get GRABY yes of course “Grabby” is correct spelling.

I'm now wondering about the creek we are next to. Do you think we will see a Yabby in it? They are quite pretty and good eating too. We have them in some of our creeks here.
YABBY
1 -
Your Yabby is very pretty. They look like the marine life we called Crawdads or crayfish in our creek where I grew up. They were not nearly as pretty as yours though. They are brown but the "babys" are really cute as they swim. When the mother travels to a different creek, she curls her tail under her body and the babies are kept safe inside her tail until the next destination.
BABYS (babies)

From Google:
Yes, a yabby is a type of crayfish. While yabbies are commonly found in Australia, the term "crayfish" is used more broadly to encompass a wider variety of freshwater crustaceans, including yabbies. Essentially, yabbies are a specific species of crayfish, but not all crayfish are yabbies.
So maybe a Crawdad behaves like a Yanby? I didn't know that they transported their babies that way. Very cute!
MAYBE

We found a mother trying to cross the road with her babies in tow. We helped her into the creek so she could get out of the danger of the cars and into the fresh water again. (They do have gills to breathe under water but also can breathe air.) Seeing the mother work so hard to find a better place for her babies was inspiring. I thought I could see the "beams" of pride from her little face.
BEAMS

thank you Susan for the info on the Yabbies- Crayfish that I know them by. I am sure that would be so sweet seeing the Mom cradling her young under her tail protecting them from the harm of cars. Yes I am sure you could see the Beams from her face, I’m sure it was a pretty sight! I am sure if we soent the day at the waters edge we would see Reams of Crayfish with their young.
REAMS0 -
What a lovely event to see, Linda! I will now watch out for Yabbies on the road. I wonder if Crayfish/Yabbies ever travel in teams?
TEAMS

Good Zthought Susan, I wonder if they ever travel in Teams, As I said in my previous post I’ve seen Reams of Yabbies/Crayfish. But not so sure if I’ve seen them on Teams. Thinking of that it would be the Means of getting around if they went in Teams Susan.

Interesting thought of the crayfish traveling in teams to protect their babies. The babies do need to be protected. They are tiny when young - about the size of navy "beans".
BEANS

Now tiny baby crawdads would be so cute to see! Having so many, I guess their mother wouldn't really give them names.
NAMES

Linda, Thank you for helping us to see how tiny the young are as you demonstrated that the “young” are the size that is equivalent to Navy Beans 🫘 that is tiny! You brought two good points up Susan, first that the tiny “crawdads” would be so cute to see and because the Mama having so many would probably not give them Names! Yes that does make sense. Does anyone know who Tames the baby Crawdads?
TAMES0 -
The baby crawdads have a special school that they go to where the "dames" teach them how to be respectful of their parents and the rules of the river. The school is held under large rocks where other river activity does not distract them from their lessons. (The story about the mother and babies is true but this may contain some literary license to embellish the story.)

Lol, Linda! I love the Crawdad School idea! You should be writing children's books! You would be a famed author in no time.
FAMED

WOW! I could become famous if I would have ideas all the time but I only have bursts of imagination and not enough to fill a book. Thank-you for your support and if I eventually write a book, you two will get the first signed copies. Don't wait in expectation for that I have not even started writing or "named" the book.
NAMED

Yes Susan I like the Crawdad School 🏫 idea too and yes you will be a famed author Linda in the Books you write. ✍️ In no time you will be Writing sooner than you think and have all your Books 📚 Named! And besides Books 📚 Named; you could have have a Website Entitled “Gamed” focusing on “Developing Young Peoples Software” for Gaming with a Christian focus; now that would be exciting…

With clear focus and every thought tamed towards your goal, you could do it, Linda! I like the idea of getting a first signed copy of your book. Judith, maybe YOU could do the Christian gaming site!
TAMED

If we were closer in distance and we "timed" it correctly, we could all collaborate on becoming famous with our books, gaming, dog grooming, feeding bears pears, shopping at stores with green glass, etc.
TIMED

Wow, we would be quite a Team creating a Gamed Network, Publishing Books and even opening up a Local Zoo in our community who would look after the needy Bears who don’t have a good place to live and other animals, not that I’m promoting Zoo’s as I would love the animals to live in the Wild but people are taking their habitat away with building in their habitat! Sadly 😢 we are seeing our Bears die, I would rather see them in a Zoo rather than being Shot by Officers due to Bears chasing a home owner out of their yard for food! Makes me cry 😢 Sadly some people don’t care a “Dime-d” about preserving our WildLife!
DIMED0 -
Oh, I am so sorry to hear about the bears, Judith. That sentiment about culling animals seems to be raising its head over here too. Government approved helicopters flying over parks and shooting Brumbies (wild horses) and Koalas recently. They got a huge, negative reaction from the people when they did that. But it was done. Horrible. As far as I know, those animals weren't a threat to anyone. The government must have mined the information to justify their actions but the public didn't get told what those reasons were.
MINED
Brumbies are magnigicent and Koalas are about the size of my little dogs and spend their days sleeping and eating gum leaves.

That is so sad to hear from both of you that the animals are being killed. In Colorado, they are bringing back the gray wolf from other states to repopulate them. They are causing so much problems with the ranchers when they kill the cattle and sheep. It does not look like the people in charge are thinking these things through. Maybe someone who cooked their meals put in some weird things that made their minds go a bit off the normal thinking. As they "dined" their brains became mush and they made these evil decisions.
DINED
1 -
Susan those pictures make me cry knowing innocent animals are being killed. Makes me sick! I just don’t get it. And hearing your story Linda, Government authorities just don’t think things through, it seems they go with whatever comes into their minds! I agree with you that their brains turned into mush as they dined! They should have heavy Fines for doing that to the animals.
FINES
0 -
Yes, they should be fined! If they can't support their decisions with good, sound data, they should not be allowed to go ahead with their awful plans.
FINED
1 -
I try to put myself in a situation that I am observing and wonder how the other side feels with my decisions. If they did this then would imagine themselves "lined" up and someone else deciding if they live or die. I am sure they would have an opinion about that! Hopefully they would make better decisions.
LINED
1 -
Yes I agree Susan if they are going thru with their Awful plans they should be Fined. I hear you Linda I could see them Lined up and others making the decisions… yes With seeing them lined up I can almost see Lines upon Lines of People.

I can sometimes see why a person pines for the good old days at times like this.

Yes I can pine for the Good old days when life was simpler. I remember how pretty the Wisteria "vines" were on the front porch. We has a porch swing we could sit on and watch the world go by without being seen behind the vine.
