Reflection for the week
I'm happy with the loss, of course. But I was hoping some more of May's gain would fall off easier. With it's resistance to do so, I'm thinking I gained actual fat and not just water weight and such, as I was hoping.
I did much better with my diet this week than the last few. I've been tracking, staying in my calories goal and haven't ordered in. I haven't been to the gym since the weekend, but I'm hoping I'll be able to get back soon.
Overall, I had a pretty stressful week, but managed to stay focused on what I needed to do.

YAYYYYY!!!!! Did not intentional workouts this week, partially because I was still sick, I still have a freaking cough, it's been 2 weeks, ugh, and also because I had a bright idea of ripping out this large bush in front of my house, and reusing the rock around it for my walk way so I could lay mulch and plant something. Well the neighbor told me that the Bush and rocks had been there when they moved in 50 years ago. So i got the Bush out and now trying to sift the rocks from the dirt. Way harder than it seemed. I have gotten 9 bucket fulls sifted out and only 1/4 of the way done. I have been sifting rocks and picking out roots and leafs one shovel full at a time for about 2 hours a day after work for the past 3 days. So thats been my workout this week. I have also not been snacking much which is so hard for me

I'm under a lot of family stress at the moment, and it's leading to me eating high calorie junk and basically becoming immobile. I need to break out of that, I'm pretty sure it's what's making my body so creaky lately. So aiming for 10 minutes of walking (that don't involve walking around the house), and restarting chair yoga with the Down Dog app! As for the stress, the exercise will help I think, and I'm going to go back to meditating with Calm every day.

How DO you get rid of the extra spaces? I type everything single-spaced, but it always comes out double-spaced when I paste!

Here's a guess. Don't know what to say about Sunday since I have no idea when it died. Thanks for letting me know how to handle it. Appreciate you!

step challengers:
To help with the posting, please always include the month/day (like "m/d") in your post.
for example: "6/5", "Thu 6/5", or "Thursday 6/5", or even "6/5 Thu", are all good…
but not just "June 5" or "Thursday".
Thanks.1 -
I'm headed to the hills for the next couple days. I'll be back late Sunday.
I'll catch up with everyone then.
Have a great weekend!4 -
I’m sorry my weekly weigh in report is late again. I forgot to weigh myself yesterday.

Enjoy the hills, @frankwbrown!
That’s my favorite part of The Argument skit, too! They make an educational distinction between contrarian and argumentative — So funny to present such logical dialogue as part of such an illogical situation 😉🙃😂

The way I get rid of the line space is to hit the return key, which skips a space (double spaced), as usual. Then, I back space and return again until the text appears on the next line as if single-spaced.
You can also use the bullet point formatting.

You can avoid the double spacing if you paste using Ctrl+shift+v. The shift makes it a "paste as plain text" operation, so there won't be any bold or italics, even if your original text has it.

@angmarie28 The May step challenge is over and done with. I logged your steps for June, so you're all caught up. But you're not officially in the June challenge until you state your step goal (it was 10,000 for May), share with us where you like to walk, and commit to posting every few days, with one day being preferably Sunday or Monday (Tuesday the latest), so we can wrap up the week that ended Saturday.

Hi everyone: just dropping in to say hi. NYC has been great so far. Went to see George Clooney last night in “Good Night, and Good Luck.” Fantastic! Visited my mother-in-law today which went exactly as expected. She’s 93 and healthy, but is emotionally wiped out and tired of living. So it’s hard. Fortunately, my daughter is here with me so it made the visit easier. Otherwise, we’ve been visiting with friends, eating out, and walking a lot. Tomorrow, we head to Chinatown for dim sum and shopping in SoHo. Ready to head home on Monday. I miss my routine lol. Not able to weigh in this week so I’m hoping that all the walking helps combat all the yummy things I’m eating😂

@nancyinmiami Glad you are enjoying your visit! I'm heading up in 2 weeks, my son lives in the lower East Side. Too bad we didn't overlap we could've met for coffee ☺️. We're going to see Glengarry Glen Ross, my husband and son are both Bill Burr and Bob Odenkirk fans.
I understand about your MIL, my FIL is the same way. He's healthy, for a 93 yo, and still lives alone, but since my MIL passed away last summer he just sits and moans about how terrible it is to be alive at his age and why is he still here? Very draining to visit. Glad you are getting out and doing fun stuff.

Good Morning, y'all! Loving my Saturday morning…purchased a new air fryer from Cosori and today, finally took time to unpack it…got 40% off and free shipping with cash back as well…so it was a great deal and since I've had my other one for a couple of years, it was time for an upgrade. Looking forward to trying the TurboBlaze as it's a little smaller on my counter than the other one. Already cleaned two bathrooms, unloaded the dishwasher and have a load of laundry washing currently…one more load to go, then the rest of the weekend is for relaxing…waiting for my cleaning lady to arrive to do the hard stuff. It's my once a month gift to myself!
Opened the window to a bunny outside eating breakfast and Betty was fascinated to watch her. Nature makes me smile. Betty is currently curled up and bird watching at my office window. She's such a joy…woke me up this morning giving me forehead kisses 😍 🐾 🐱!
So, what's everyone else up to this beautiful day! Hope you're having good weather where you are…it's a little overcast here and we might have some rain this afternoon, but this morning, it's calm and lovely outside. Temps won't be too high today…low 80s…just a nice day and since most of my work is done, I can relax and enjoy it. Have a few errands to run after Olga gets done…
This week was fairly good…had a few days where I came home very tired, but I managed to get my daily 20 minute walks in each day and I'm proud of that. I've come a long way in recent months from where I was 6 months ago. Got the weight going in the right direction again and am working on getting my steps back up. Decided to do a 30-day challenge in June to walk at least 20 minutes a day, along with my strength exercises I try to do at least 4-5 days a week for 20 minutes. I'm enjoying the walking, but I will admit that after a busy day at the office, my leg sometimes protests….so far though, been able to do it and enjoy that little relaxing time each day for me. Yesterday, I did two 20 minutes, because I had to go to the Fresh Market and pick up a few things on the way home. That was nice. Got a couple of new things to try from their deli…in small portions but they have such a nice hot bar at the deli and of course, I love their rotisserie chicken salad. Hadn't had it for a few weeks, so that will be nice. Found a new low calorie bread that is still soft that I like. Lewis Bake Shop Healthy white bread…two slices for only 70 calories, but it sells out fast, so kinda hard to find all the time. I'm going to pop in to a local bread store where they bring in extras that don't get delivered to groceries in the area and hoping they will have it there as well. Anyone else have a low-calorie bread they like? Please let me know…
Well, enjoy your day!
Jessica

@jessicakrall8 my weigh in day is today, which is why you don’t have it yet. I don’t wake up and weigh early, usually not until about 9 am. So, if you wait a bit on Saturdays you’ll get mine.

We only post reminders twice a week and always include the day that we're posting, so don't be offended by the reminders…we don't do reminders daily, so no worries…nice loss this week!
