Susan, good to hear from you, sounds like things are getting organized and falling into place. Great Shaun got a storage unit to store the furniture while they are with you. Yes I can understand that Colin would find it hard to drive straight through. So staying over night would break up the trip for you both. At least for now you don’t need to think about that for a while. Take care my friend. We are here for you with a listening ear! Love and Hugs

Linda, you mentioning Apple Crisp was what both my Grandmother and Mom made a lot but I sure loved the Brown Betty, yum yum 😋 It will take some time to adjust to changing the times for the Bible Studies but the older people will appreciate that as driving at night is harder for seniors. I have couple of older friends who limit their driving at night as they say the glare from oncoming cars distorts their eyesight. You asked about my procedures, yes they do cause a lot of soreness on the lips especially. I don’t know if it’s any worse it’s just tiring as it’s gone on for such a long time. Good News, one of my appointments I have been trying to get in to see my Oncologist I got through today and got an appointment with my Oral oncologist for November 12th at 2:15pm. Praise God! Now I need to work on getting into see my Dermatology Oncologist! This one is needed as it’s his med he prescribed that needs changing. I love your pictures of the Pumpkins that were carved. The top row is quite detailed. My visit with Gayle was really good. At the end of our time together I could see she was feeling better. She said she would love to visit regularly, I said I would send her some days I’m free in November for us to work out on a day that works for us both! I look forward to seeing her more often in the near future.

Thanks for everyone’s prayers and words of kindness! it’s late now so I’m off to bed! See you all tomorrow! Good Night 😴

Linda. Great pumpkins. The carvers are good.
We were cold, today and are in a freeze watch tonight and for next couple nights. I put our hoses away and we turned off the outside water today. We have not been in the 20’s just mid 30’s as lows, so only a frost advisory. No freeze. It is to warm up again by weekend. Yes I am also looking forward to Indian summer too, usually it’s around now as it is 3 bday today. We took him to vote and he got a few feee foods for his bday.
we still have a glider to put away too.

Susan. Thank you for checking in. I’m sure it’s quite busy. Prayers as you adjust in small place that be my place too though a large yard, with more people. Praying. Also, if you would travel to Dalby, it be rough. Prayers. Makes me wonder if 3 family have tomadjustmtomhim being in a wheelchair for life please pray.
I posted more in prayer comment.
I make an apple crisp and grew up with it, though Harry doesn’t eat it nd with just 2 of us i don’t make it much my more if at all. I can’t remember the last time i made it

Judith. Hooe you enjoyed Gayle. It is nice that you could get together. I’m sure it was fun. Praying you get sleep and for healing. God can heal you and get Harry 3 walking though it’s his balance he needs which I wonder if it’s his double vision. He doesn’t see the Neuro ophthalmologist until April. God knows and He heals. The song “ Don’t stop Praying.”

We will be getting cold tonight but in frost advisory. So pray as Mariposa is shy in going out I wonder if we can take 3 with Mariposa to,our church and have 3 practice walking in our gym. Just a crazy idea but I wonder. Prayers for all.
Sure wish Jesus would just come back so no more suffering for us all.

Good Morning. I'm on my fourth load of clothes in the washer and just changed our sheets. We offered to wash for everyone today as the kids are moving all their furniture to the storage unit. Our other son, Nathan, and his family are helping with the move. We are exempted from lifting due to age and disability. Yesterday Inara got a pretty good report at the Paediatrician's. Her speech and maturity have been affected by her lack of hearing from day 1. With some speech therapy and time, she will catch up. We're very thankful for the fact that there was no other diagnosis (ADHD, Autism etc). Everyone was very relieved about that. Inara is slowly adjusting to staying with us, and the dogs are getting better daily too.

Thank you all for understanding about how much busier our lives will be for awhile. We'll miss them when they go, too.

Barb, glad you were able to bake an old favourite (Apple Crisp). I have never had that. I think asking if 3 can use the church gym would be great! Not crazy at all. Mariposa is shy? That surprises me, but maybe she will get more confident as she grows up. I hope so. 🙏

Judith, I was delighted to see you had a good visit with your friend and are planning more regular get togethers. It will be lovely for you both! Thankful for your appointment c9ming up and praying it will help.

Linda, those pumpkins are amazing. No one carves pumpkins much here but we have plenty of hollow plastic ones popping up in people's gardens. For our Halloween here in Australia people seem to focus more on horror. They favour more skeletons, cobwebs, giant spiders, and witches. We never have trick or treaters here at the Village. So I don't decorate. Inara has a costume to wear at kindy. I'm not sure what it will look like yet. Glad Glenn is feeling up to helping around the house. His life sure will change with his eyesight changes. Maybe he could get some technology that can read aloud to him and he could write by speaking inyo the program? My legally blind sis has some amazing tools to help her read and work. She is currently writing children's books and short stories and does create Bible studies too for the ladies group she belongs to. The Blind Society, who improve the vision impaired quality of life, has some amazing helps for her around the house and with technology. I hope he finds some ways that suit him so he can still study and write.

I better go hang sheets on the line. It's going to rain later and I want things to dry in the sun before then.

Susan, I am rejoicing that Inara got a fantastic report from the Paediatrician! God is Good. No ADHD or Autism. Praise God! I do believe even with her slow start due to hearing and speech she will catch up and do very well. My granddaughter was born prematurely and had a slow start, She was tube fed, walked late and her speech was later but by the time she was 3 she was caught up and today you’d never know she was behind. I remember when I had the Baby Shower for Lynn when Nyla was almost 3 months old weighing 7 pounds couple of the people asked Lynn if Nyla was a Newborn! So yes I believe Inara will do well and you all will be amazed as we all were with Nyla. That’s a lot of laundry you are doing today. So nice your Son Nathan is helping Shaun with the moving and putting furniture in storage. It sounds like you are getting some things organized but so understand it’s not easy. Thank you for your kind words regarding my medical appointments coming up and my visit with Gayle. It was a good visit and so glad she wants to visit more. Its first visit she wasn’t saying she didn’t want to live long and told me at one time she was asking God to take her home. Yesterday she said she was enjoying her music again. She sings and has been Worship Leader! So overall the Visit was good. She welcomed and asked me to keep praying for her! Thank you Jesus!

Barb, I think that’s an excellent idea to have Harry3 go to your Church and use the Gym to practice his walking and balance! Hope you can encourage him to go. It would be great for Mariposa also to walk with her Daddy in the Gym. I continue to keep Harry3 in prayer for God’s healing. Trusting day by day he will improve and everyone will see the difference. Trusting his eyesight gets better so he won’t have the issues with the double vision. You are getting some cold weather, we had cold couple days ago 33 degrees but your temps are way colder. Hope it does warm up by the weekend like you said.

Linda, I replied to your posts earlier but not at 8:00pm as you post at that time but I have to sign off now. I am sleepy from my both vaccines I had at 12 Noon today!

I had my yearly Covid and Flu shots! No problems not even sore just very sleepy.

Will say Good Night 😴 God Bless! 🙏🤗

We had our soup exchange and women's devotional tonight. I took Zuppa Toscana and exchanged it for Ham and beans and Minestrone. We had to take 4 cups for people to taste and then two gallon bags full of soup to give away. It was only 8 of us but it was a fun time and now I have a variety of soups to eat. I was glad that I could ride with a friend to the house where the exchange took place. My eyesight at night is not good. I think it is my cataracts that causes the headlights to distort and my depth perception to be not as good as during the daylight.

Susan - thanks for the ideas about what to do when Glenn needs help reading. Right now, the books he likes to read are not available because they are very scholarly and there is not much demand for them as audio books. Maybe AI could read the books for him if there were a reader he could use. AI is amazing and they are coming up with new things all the time. I still feel people might get lazy brains if they depend on AI for everything. That is a lot of laundry that you did today. I am glad that Shaun did not expect you or Colin to help with moving things into storage. We are also excepted from lifting heavy things by our children. What a good report for Inara. How much does she hear? When our grandson was having absent seizures he also got way behind in school because he was missing a lot of what the teacher was saying. Once they got the seizures under control and he could hear the complete lesson, he caught up quickly. I am sure Inara will do the same.

Judith - I am so glad that you were able to get an appointment with the Oral Oncologist. Now if you can get with the Dermatology Oncologist that would be great. The visit with Gayle sounds nice and I am hoping that you can see each other more often. It sounds like her grief is still with her but she is able to enjoy some things which is good. I hope that your tiredness will get over quickly from your vaccines. We till need to get them but it is hard to find the time especially if we have to go to our doctor who is in Westminster. We may just do it at Walmart the next time we go there.

Barb - I am realy praying hard that 3 is able to continue to improve so he can stay in therapy. I also think that walking in the gym with Mariposa is a good idea for 3. The floor is nice and flat and it is not as cold as it is outside. I hope that his double vision clears which will make walking safer. You said that you were wishing Jesus would come back soon. I agree especially when our president is talking about working on nuclear weapons again. I know he wants to not let other nations get ahead of us and attack us when we are not ready but still can't we all be friends? Obviously that is not going to happen as long as Satan has his way here on his turf.

Here is my new haircut I got two weeks ago. Glenn does not like the natural waves as well as when I blow dry it and curl it with a curling iron. It is more work but I want him to like it so I do it that way when we go places and leave it alone when I am at home so we can compromise.

Oh, The picture didn't show for me, Linda. I hope Glenn gets used to your new hairstyle in time. Yes, having the diagnosis be much more positive for Inara was a blessing. I hope Glenn does find a way to read even if it is with AI. He would not do so well with nothing to think about! The laundry turned into 5 loads yesterday with our sheets. The kids appreciated having theirs done. It's something that will be on repeat, of course.

Judith, that's encouraging about Nyla. I know Inara will improve. I'm not sure how bad her hearing loss was or how much she can hear now but she doesn't seem to miss much when she pays attention. She will be alright. I hope you feel more rested today.

Barb, I hope all is going well and was praying for you all just before.

    2nd time.
Susan, that is a lot of wash! Trust your washing machine lasts well. I always enjoyed hanging out as they smelled msomgood, especially in the spring! That was until our neighbor’s tree took our laundry ntree. We’ve never replaced it, with 2, I can use chairs or such. Mainly use the drier. Somglad yiungot help, with a Nathan I bet all re sleeping well tonight. Or did aleep, well.as morning now. So glad you didn’t help lift heavy thing. Good choice!
So glad that Inara had a good report from the dr pediatrician. Not being on the spectrum autism, ADHD is wonderful, God is good!, So glad that Inara seems to hear well as not to miss anything I assume you mean in school. Prayers for your sister and her issues with seeing too

Linda. I could not pull up your picture either. Sorry I’m sure it looks good. We got another cool morning then it will warm up next week. Tuesday it may be 70* that will feel nice we still need to get our glider and rug off the porch maybe then. ? I also, don’t lie, driving t ight I remember my dad saying watch the white line I’m,so get anti glare on y glasses I hoping that with my LLLT I will have better eyesight. I have noticed a bit I think better and my bags under my eyes are GONE. My eye Dr told me that. My skin there is so smooth after only 4 treatments,.
Harry made Hama d bean soup today so I got a laugh when you mentioned that. Sounds like you had fun.
My sister in law suggested using our community center, as it’s an old elementary school, so has 2 halls and not many people. Great conditions for him so maybe Saturday.
Will you have your cataracts checked as most of those who had the surgery we better prayers. ?

Judith. So glad you got the appointment with the oral oncologist’s and now we pray youncan get a dermatologist oncologist. In God’s time. So glad you and Gayle had fun and she wants to continue it you need that Judith.
Prayers for you Judith apthankmyiu for all you do for our group too.

If any of you have macular problems I wonder if checking into LLLT might be the answer.
So 3 OT that he had today told 3 that she is seeing a Lot of improvement in him especially his balance! PTL we needed that.
Tomorrow his therapy will have a party for the kids and 3 was asked to read a book to,the kids that come. So HH and the girls will go and see daddy/3, read the book to some kids so neat. Mariposa is excited about it. . She can be shy at times, as she has not been many places since Annabella has been born. I think Annabella won’t be shy and that may help Mariposa. Thank you for the prayers.

I had a good talk with the CEO of group thta does the pre-diabetes classes. She was able to tell me about how effective it has been since they started it during COVID. I told her that I worked with Medicare and Medicaid reinbursement in my old job and she offered me a job working for her or being on the board. Although I know it was in joking, it still made me feel that I still have some wisdom left that I could help. I definately am not looking for a job right now or plan to do so in the future. I also presented the program for the TOPS group talking about cravings and how to work with them. Although I did not loose weight this week, I was not the only one who needs to be more disciplined in my food choices.

Susan - I am sorry that the picture does not show up for you or Barb. When I copy and paste the link in the browser, it shows up for me. Maybe I will take another picture later and put it on with a different method. This was a PDF. file. I am glad that Inara is able to hear when she concentrates. I can get easily distracted with other activity around me and not hear everything I am supposed to either.

Barb - I am glad that the OT is seeing improvement in 3. Does this mean that he will continue with therapy? I also love putting clothes outside to dry. I have a small drying rack outside but it is not big enough to hang sheets. In the cold weather, I mostly use my dryer or if the clothing is delicate I use a little fold up wooden dryer that I put in the bathtub to dry those clothes. I looked at our weather and we are going to be having 70F degrees on Monday before you get it on Tuesday. I look forward to it being a bit warmer. the last time I had my cataracts checked was about a year ago. At that time they said they had not changed from the year before. I have a friend who had cataracts removed and she said it was very simple and that the difference in how she can see if amazing.

    Good night everyone!

Thank you Barb, I have known Gayle and her late Husband for about 30 years. Their daughter who passed away had such a beautiful smile, she shone for Jesus! Gayle has really withdrawn the past year but when we got together she thanked me for encouraging her! She said she is starting to get back into her music again, singing and Leading Worship, I rejoice and thank God that Gayle is back to Leading Worship again! Praise God! I hope I can be a blessing to her and encourage her to press forward in the things of God. I am rejoicing to read the improvements with Harry3 and that he has been asked to read to some of the children there. Yes Mariposa will be so excited to sit and listen to her Daddy read to the children. It’s wonderful that there are improvements with Harry3’s balance! This is answers to Prayer.

Susan, I thought 4 loads of laundry was a lot but you say it was 5 loads.so glad you bc got help with the heavy n things. It’s bc nice you have a line to hang your clothes on. I had a clothes line when my children were young and hung my clothes out all year long even in the winter. The diapers would come in so white and smell so fresh. All our clothes did. So glad you were encouraged with Nyla’s outcome. I know Inara will do just as well. Nyla is 19 now and in University and doing well academically and in everything else. Take care my friend, feeling more rested tonight. Will keep you posted on my other appointments I am able to secure.

Linda, sorry to say but the link you shared didn’t post correctly so none of us could open your picture. I am sure your hair is lovely. Your soup exchanged sounded wonderful. Our church has done all kinds of exchanges over the years but we have never done a soup exchange. That’s an awesome idea. I am sure you are enjoying the soup you brought home. I am going to suggest that idea with my friend who helps with her Women’s Group. You mentioned you had cataracts, has your Ophthalmologist ever suggested surgery to correct your vision? You asked about my tiredness from the vaccines I had, today was better but good thing is with having a lot of fatigue and being sleepy it’s a good sign that my immune system is responding well to the vaccines. Praise God! I hope to get an appointment with my Dermatology Oncologist tomorrow. Will keep you posted.

It’s getting late so this gal is heading to bed soon! Good Night 😴 and God Bless! 🙏🤗
