Today for me started off with an hour long Bible Study I do via Video. We finished up our Study on the Characteristics of a Christian. Our next several studies are on the Women of the Bible. Our 1st study is on the Life of Miriam. We break for Christmas on December 8th as it gets really busy with family and Church activities so we break early. We are back in New Year, date is yet to be determined.

This afternoon it was a sorting out of Christmas gifts already bought and sorting out of Christmas Gift Bags, what bows, tags are needed. I was pleasantly surprised how organized I was with having all the things I do have. I have my Cardstock for my Christmas cards I make for family, the Dies, Stamps, markers, embossing folders and embossing powder. I have my design already decided on. I’m way ahead of what I was doing for my daughter’s Birthday card! I have a list that again was so pleased as I ticked off so many things I had done. The weekend I am excited to finish Lynn’s card, I did a little work on it today.

Susan, you have quite a talented group of Villagers with a group writing the script, directing and then there are the costumes having 100 in the play is both awesome and impressive with pulling it all together as they are doing. Do you have a speaking part? I know you are playing your Ukulele, you mentioned a Choir, are you singing in the choir? So sorry to ask but I have lost my train of thought in how much you do besides playing your instrument. Your play sounds like it will be so much fun, I look forward to hearing all about it.

So sorry you were dealing with such a chaotic household this morning. It sounds like Inara has too much energy and doesn’t know what to do with it all. . I hear you when you say you love Inara so much but when Inara gets in these boisterous episodes its hard. I am praying for you for a calmness to come in your home and for Inara to be calmer and quieter. Hope your morning practice went well. I hope things quiet down so Yolanda and Inara can come to the play, it would be good for them all. Hope Yolanda can take Inara outside to play, perhaps a visit to a local park, where she could be on climbing equipment, swinging on the swings and playing on a teeter totter.it would be great fun, and she would get the added fresh air which would give her a good night sleep. I often took my grandkids out to the park, I took sidewalk chalk and a big bottle of bubbles. The kids had such fun. This helped avoid bursts of energies and even screaming episodes. I wonder if this would help Inara?

Linda, you had a full day with getting your laundry done and floors mopped, that is a clever idea of using an old towel for the heads of your mops. That’s a great idea. This is so nice of you to go with your friend to sit with her while her husband has reconstruction surgery on his Shouler. I am sure she will so appreciate you being these with her. Sitting in a surgery waiting area is not fun. At least she will have someone to talk to. Thank you for the heads up regarding the Government Shut down. Hope the Senate passes it and President Trump signs it before it’s officially over. Hope it happens soon. You asked about our Postal Strike. Thankfully they settled and are back on the job however the mail is really slow. I am getting mail but it’s really behind. I am going to write out my Christmas cards and get them all mailed out by the end of November. I am hoping all my family and friends who live some in the USA and others out of the Province will receive their cards. I worked on my Birthday card for my daughter again today. Hoping I will have the card done by the weekend.

Barb, I didn’t realize your Mom had 8 vertebrae fractures. Such a painful condition for your Mom. You mentioned about assisted living, how does your Mom feel about it? It’s hard to have to think about giving up the things you are attached to. I have known people who do very well. Hopefully your Mom will be ok with assisted living. You have so much on your plate with helping Harry3, HH with the girls, and the added stress for both you and Cher having decisions about how to help your Mom, and I am also thinking this is Harry3’s last week for rehab then he will be home, you will be busier with helping Harry3 more. And now Jean and Tim having his Mom living with them. I read in one of your posts that Tim’s Mom was suicidal, is there a plan for some counselling? All I can say Barb, my heart goes out to you, you still have your macular treatment, there is so much to pray about. You can count on my prayers!

It’s late and this is the 4th post as each one got lost that I posted previously. Will say Good Night 😴 God Bless. 🙏🤗

Oh no, Judith! I hope you can post it again later. How frustrating.

Linda, thank you for understanding about how different life is for us right now. We're doing our best. Glad your towel mop worked out so well.

Barb, sorry to hear about Tim's mother and the continued issues for your Mom. I hope the birthday party might lift a few spirits. Take care.

Inara was a bundle of energy and attitude all day yesterday. Her Mom took her to parks and out shopping. You're right, Linda, she has no outside playing space here. Colin took her to meet some of the neighbours yesterday too and she behaved for them. Vol and I went to the Memorial Day service and lunch at the Clubhouse which was a lovely peaceful time. The choir sang Amazing Grace acxompanied by a Piper and also the national anthem to a backing tape.

Susan. Prayers for you adjust. Havig a preschooler I assume a toddler have so much energy. Is there a playground near by? Most kids like bubbles so aybenbutbthen only be 5-10 minutes of freedom. Praying.
The play sounds so cool & 2 residents having written it with over 100 in it. Thats a lot of people who must know what to say & where to be. Kind of like a marching band performance. All 4 of our kids pay an instrument & were in marching band.

Judith so sorry once it took 3 tries for me once. It is so frustrating. Prayers.

Linda so cleaning day. Nice if youth be with a friend facing surgery. Maybe bring a book?

Marlene is older than me, thats all i know. She has more medical problems. She lives in Missourians Jean lives in Kansas. Not sure if Marlene has insurance. We did t see them today. Tomorrow works better for them. They will tkae Evan to Build a bear. It’s a teddy bear store, to build a teddy bear, and Evan will have fun. A nice birthday gift.
As for my mom there is talk of releasing her Thursday. To the skilled nursing place. We wish she have more time. Not sure what will happen. I know we will have to empty her place, as she doesn’t own it Calvary home, where she lives owns it. She has 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and sun room. So lots to empty. Prayers appreciated. In Gods time.
I am concerned about 3 as with. I don’t want him to,regress. I know we will take him3 days a week to,walk with a walker. Trust that helps him, though I wish it be 4 days every so often. I hope they give him-a schedule or exercises for him to do. I know HH feels she can’t as she has the girls. I keep praying and poor out my heart to,God I know 3 is alive and tumor benign he can dress, tie shoes and shave. Please Lord help him with his balance & see Neuro ophthalmologist before February

Today I was supposed to be sitting with a friend while her partner had surgery but it did not happen. The surgery was scheduled for 12:30PM but by 3 they decided to cancel it. They were having problems with the sterilizing machine and did not have the proper equipment to do the surgery. I am glad that they did cancel it because with improperly sterilized instruments there would have been potential for major infection. They are not sure when it will be rescheduled. They may have to wait for longer since his surgery was elective. The ones that are medically necessary will probably be rescheduled first. My S-I-L said she saw gorgeous "northern lights" tonight but we went out and did not see them. We used to have them in Ohio and they were so pretty. Glenn was disappointed because he has never seen them. I saw them once when we were flying to Ohio before my partents moved to California with my brother. it was amazing to see as we flew through or past them.

Judith - I am so sorry that you lost your post four times. I am pretty frustrated with just loosing mine one time but four is ridiculous. Congratulations on gaining and keeping on an ounce. Every little bit helps.

Susan - I am glad that you and Colin were able to go to the memorial service and lunch for a little peace and quiet. I am sure the choir was beautiful to hear. How old is Inara? I think I have asked before but am having a senior moment.

Barb - If your mom is discharged on Thursday and goes to a skilled nursing home, is this permanent? I worked in skilled nursing for many years and they had rehab services there too. If there was not potential for improvement, they also had "rehab aides" that did exercises on residents to keep them from regressing. I can not speak about where she is going but I know these services were very helpful for many of the people I took care of. That sounds like a lot of work to clean out your mom's house. I hope she can have a few special things in her room to keep if she stays in the nursing home. There may be a chance that 3 will regress but if he is willing to work hard, he can at least maintain. I know I had plans for my parents to do things but without their buyin, it did not go very far. He needs to see that he needs this not that you want him to do it. You did not ask for my opinion so ignore what I said if you want to. 🙃

I need to go do dishes now. The biggest thing is that I need to clean the dehydrator which is very big. It does not fit into the dishwasher so it needs to be done by hand. I do not use my dishwasher much since we do not have enough dishes to do in one day so it take a while to fill it up before I use it. Today I thought about using it but I discovered that it had been a while and there was water that had not drained out in the bottom of it. It smelled like swamp water so I spent quite a while scrubbing it with hot soapy water then ran a hot cycle with a cup of vinegar then another hot cycle with a cup of baking powder. It smells nice and fresh now. From now on I will check to see that the water is completely drained after I take the dishes out. I have no idea why it did not drain unless I stopped it to get something out and forgot to start it again. Who knows at this point?? At least it is clean now.

Judith, I saw your same post six times, so maybe scroll back and see if you can see them? I hope everything goes smoothly with your appointment today. It will be tiring, going to Vancouver. Take care! Glad you are organised with your Christmas and birthday cards. I have a design I like for the next dozen cards I am making. If Inara is gone today (they are going to other family today and tonight) I might get some made. Yes, Yolanda and Shaun take Inara to all the local parks and she burns some energy at them. I like bubbles with young kids too. Maybe I'll get some more. I threw out my last lot some tears ago, since Inara hadn't even been thought of then. Our next youngest grandchild is 12! Yes, for the play I am singing in the choir, singing and playing with Uke Jam and I have a small speaking part.

Barb, lovely photos of the Aurora Borealis. I was going to tell Linda that Glenn might need a camera and a longer time exposure to see them. When we were in Tasmania we saw the Aurora Australis but cameras did a much better job of seeing them. I agree that you have so much going on. I am glad you have your faith to turn to and that the power of prayer is amazing. May all the challenges work out according to God's will. Hugs!

Linda, I'd say your dishwasher is pristine! Good idea to scrub it out that way. The food dehydrator sounds big for sure, just perfect for all the dehydrating you do. Sorry your friend's surgery was cancelled but it was for the right reasons. Inara is 3.5 years old but her maturity is more lime she is 2 due to being deaf till at around 18 months - 2years.

Susan. Thank you for your picture of the aurora. Very neat we might have them again tonight! You are right take picture as naked eye doesn’t see them like the camera!!

Prayers for you in your morning routine. HH will be busier with 3 home after Friday, every day. Though he gets himself dress but needs help getting upstairs. I wish he slept upstairs too. But that’s not my call. I pray though.
inhope all your practices are going well. I’m glad your speaking parties is small. I’m sure you enjoy the singing & playing the uke part. How are the costumes coming? Can you save them and use them for other plays? If so is there a closet to keep them in? Try the bubbles we used it a lot, when I worked with toddlers. All my grand kids love them. You can mke bubble too. Plus playgrounds to let them run. Prayers.

Judith. Prayers for you as you are in Vancouver. Trust all went well & you are not I pain. As for my mom I don’t know what will be next. Cher keeps us informed she wasn’t there today. I know they like to send her to rehab. So that is first. If she can’t go back to her place we will have to empty it.
The government shut down is OVRR. PTL.
I got 6 of your one post.

HH and 3 were working on a schedule HH says they might not need us every day so we will ee he plan on keeping him busy I’m praying. Maybe you can see the aurora lights tonight just take a picture and see them

I took Mariposa. for walk today & read a book, then it was Evan’s birthday lunch, then my macula therapy in which I was tested again. I have only 2 more treatments testing and see my eye Dr in December.
I also got rid of my zinnia and marigold plants and cut my snapdragon plants today I may rake this weekend but it’s busy already we have the new theater play and dinner matinee on Saturday. That’s why we miss Evan's bday party. Thank you again for the prayers.

I got most of the bathrooms cleaned but still need to do the shower stall. I wish there was a magic solution to get the soap scum/mininerals off the glass doors and grout without scrubbing. I know we need to use a squeegie on the doors each time we shower but I forget. I had my second pre-diabetes class tonight. He wants us to get very active. I though I was doing well on the treadmill but he said it needs to be faster to get my heart rate up. I hope if I make it faster that I do not fall off the end of the treadmill because I can not keep up. I am so grateful that I found two lost items that I have been looking for for more than 6 moths. I found them in a box with my winter blankets. I have no idea why my purse and a pillowcase would be in there but I am glad I found them. It does not take much to make me happy.

Judith - I am impressed that you have so much of your Christmas shopping done. We still have not given out gift lists yet. Because we are not very up to date on fashion, we usually get gift cards for those who ask for clothes. That way we know they will be what they want. I hope your day at Vancover for the oral oncologist was not too tiring.

Barb - the pictures of the Northern Lights were beautiful. We tried to get a camera to show up the lights but we could not see them last night and tonight it is too cloudy and the weather man said that they would be up further North so we might not see them anyway. Praying that 3 will be able to maintain what he has done already.

Susan - I am glad that you get a break with Shaun and family gone to visit other family members but I am thinking that Inara might be more confused the the changes of not being at your house. I think time will cure some of her energy. Maybe by the time they get ready to leave, your house will already be calm.
