Susan I love the picture of Inara plrayong with a toy village. I hooe you can borrow it for sometime or some other toy. It’s nice you got a schedule figured out too. It’s nice borrowing your yoga mat worked out well for you all.
Prayers as you & Colin can get all the papers sorted out with the legal aid solicitor goes ok.

Judith. Yes, reminding us, we are princess is nice as I sometimes I get very frustrated as it will be 7 months, for 3 tomorrow since his surgery. We are so blessed which we all need to be reminded of.
We plan on walking with him in the morning. I hope we can get a schedule and help him maybe doing some kitchen chores eve if it’s only his lunch too. I did t get the child seat, as the couple did t make it to church. Maybe later I the week.
Praying for you and hoping the dr visits go swell. God is a healer and He loves helping us too.

Linda. So you were busy. We had lunch mat our church today, as we had a business meeting wi5 budget and such. We had a nice thanksgiving meal on Thursday , with joy group. I ade my cranberry salad with pineapples and fresh cranberries. It’s nice yiu help out those college students. When I was a student at Moody, didn’t go home for thanksgiving so that is neat of you. We had prows also once last night at the buffet with New theater. I hope it turned out tasty. I try to walk every day & try to end up with 70,000 steps or more for the week. Prayers yiur weight lost continues.

We plan on walking with 3 in the morning. I hope we get schedule, plus prayong we keep 3 busy so he keeps improving not regressing. Keep praying for HH it’s got to be stressful for her.
sure be nice if he could see the Neuro drs sooner than waiting so long months.
Sounds like my mom is doing ok, I have not had time to call her I hope,I can tomorrow. The raking, & new theater took lots of yesterday, then today, the business meeting at church was long, & I didn’t get home until a bit after 2. So I hope I have more time tomorrow as my last Bible study on Tuesday and my macular therapy, and Wednesday I have shoebox collection I am helping with. Plus help 3. too.

The potluck was a success with many visitors attending. I did have a full plate but there were no large survings just bites of things so I think I did pretty well. The smoked turkey was delightful in taste as well as moistness because they had soaked it in turkey broth. They also had regular turkey but it was a bit dry. We had picked up some food from a friend who could not make it to church for medical reasons and when we got ready to go home, with her dishes and mine too, I forgot to bring my grean beans back with us. Another person found them and said she would bring it to me at the bridal shower that was happening at 2 this afternoon. I went to the shower and got my dish then left my purse on the back of the chair I was sitting on when we left. We called a friend to bring it home to me on her way home but she had already left so we made a trip back to the building to pick up my purse. We hurried home for a zoom meeting we had a 4 and a half hour after we started our electricity went off so that was the end of the meeting. It came back after about an hour. It was raining but not windy so I don't know why it went off. The rain was gentle but did not last long.

Judith - that is nice that your leaves are removed every week with leaf blowers. With the rain that we had, the leaves are really falling fast in our back yard. The company that does our lawn sucks the leaves up with their lawn mower. They come on Thursdays so I hope the leaves are dry enough to suck up. The dinner rolls were all eaten but three. 4 dozen does not last long when there are a lot of people eating them. I will be praying for your appointment for tomorrow that is a continuation of treatment for you.

Susan - Our women in the Bible study group are also planning a Christmas get together. It will be a small group so we are just having snacks and an ornament exchange and games. We have not made plans for the whole Bible study group yet. Last year we did a "nice/useful" white elephant gift exchange. If we do it again, I have things in mind to get rid of again. AI is amazing that it can make papers sound more progessional. Glenn is looking into it to see if it can help him write the book he is working on which is a devotional book that he wrote as well as a book that will be life as a sheepherder and how it applies to the church as God's sheep. I am glad that things are settling down in your household. Having toys to play with does help engage a child's attention. I hope the dogs do not try to "play" with it too. Do they like to chew on things?

Barb - I agree with Susan that is sounds like maybe the tension about your Mom is lifting a bit with rehab being involved. I hope that you get more rain than we did today but any little bit helps. I read in Caring Bridge that HH hurt her wrist when helping transfer 3. She seemed quite discouraged about it. I hope it heals quickly and they can figure out a better way to transfer.

Susan, love the picture of Inara playing with the Village set. I could see she was so interested setting things up. That was so nice the family dropped it off for her. So glad things are settling down and you are getting into a good routine. It’s exciting planing for Church Christmas banquets and what food you are going to bring. I found some of my recipes last night as I was going through a Cookbook my Mom made with her recipes and mine. We combined all our recipes we used for Family dinners and Church gatherings! I might post some in our Recipe thread. It sounds like you are getting everything ready for the Tribunal meeting next week. Trust all goes well.

Linda, so nice your Potluck went well. I thought you would enjoy the smoked turkey. I was sorry you had forgotten your Green Bean didh, guess with all the rush of picking up another friends dish who couldn’t attend the potluck but nice someone saw you dish and brought it to you. Glad you were able to get back to retrieve your purse you left behind. Good you got home for your Zoom Meeting. I was sorry your power went off soon after you began your meeting. You had quite a day of things left behind. Guess so much to do and hurrying to get here and there it didn’t help with leaving things behind. It’s great they use the leaf blowers and then once leaves are in big piles, they rake them up to pick up in bunches and fill big leave bags and fill their truck and take them away. They keep our common grounds clean and tidy. We are responsible for our own yards. I keep it up as best as I can.

Barb, so glad you had a nice Thanksgiving meal on Thursday! Happy you were encouraged with what I shared about us all being God’s Children we are chosen and Loved by the Lord! Yes we all need those reminders, especially with all the things we are all going through. It’s always a blessing when we are reminded on how Much God Cares and Loves us! I am praying for your Mom that she will do well at the rehab and that her pain gets under control. I hope Harry3 does well with his walking the days you take him out. Praying you treatment that you see more improvement with your eyes.

I am closing now as I have an early morning. Will try and be back tomorrow night. The surgeon has a fair amount to do as he is following directions from my Oral Oncologist that she left for him Wednesday!

Thanks for your prayers! Love and Hugs! 🙏🤗

Good Morning. It must be the time of year for church business meetings. We had one on Sunday too. It didn't last but 25 minutes as there was so little to discuss this time. We reviewed the finances and had a vote on a couple of other matters and that was that.

Judith, I do hope your meeting with your Surgeon went well and was more of a discussion than a physical ordeal. Glad you enjoyed Inara's picture. She didn't play with the Village today as she was going to see other family. Oh, it would be lovely to see your church recipes! When you feel up to it, that is. Yes, I am working on those papers. I will do some more today as Inara is gone for a few hours.

Linda, you must have been chuckling at yourself about the green beans and bag, but also feeling a little frustrated! I'm glad all was well and your friends got a chance to help. That's a blessing for them! Now that would be so interesting if AI could help Glenn with his writing. Like him, I would write everything first so my own ideas would come through. (So many young students just get AI to write their papers for them, just giving AI the topic or question 🙄). You always have the power to edit. I believe AI can even recognise a person's style of writing so as not to change his voice. Neat!

Barb, glad to hear your Mom might be doing okay. I know it will be a long road for her in recovery, like it has been for 3. Our bodies need a lot of time to heal, right? Especially from such serious surgeries that they have had. Glad to hear about all the lovely things happening at church with preparing shoe boxes for the children and having some lovely meals planned out. You sure need those sweet breaks from concern and care! I like the idea of a Christmas decoration exchange. It would be fun to do that. One year our ladies bought Christmas socks and stuffed them with goodies for each other. We have had lots of regular gift exchanges, but I think instead of gifts, they are concentrating more on having fun with games this year. There will probably be little prizes for the winners and losers. We'll see what happens soon.

I better go finish posting on other threads and use my few hours of calm wisely. Have a good day, all of you. Look for God's blessings. He showers us with them! 😄💕

Judith I hope you had some good news with your surgeon. Also praying you won’t be in much if any pain. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 trust you sleep well tonight too as sleep is when we heal too

My mom had her infusion shot today. So we are praying for some relief in the sciatica area. Maybe with her back too. She had a care meeting today, but I’ve not heard anything in that today. She seems to be doing good so that is good. Prayers. The eating didn’t happen, as they had to leave for the infusion shot, the meeting ahead of my mom went over so no time for my moms. Cher will call tomorrow.
I have 2 more macula therapies. One this week, tomorrow and next Tuesday is my last macula therapy, then testing & see eye Dr first week of December.

Susan. It’s good you had some time without Inara, to start looking at the papers. You have more time and can get it done. Also keep the papers together so none get lost. Yes, with God healing he takes His time. 3 was also told that he has not plateau in everything so that was encouraging to him. I will say AI I don’t understand but glad that you guys and Glenn can use it. I wonder if teachers can tell the difference in papers kids turn in if they wrote it or AI.
Bad enough that kids with texting do not use their English right, their spelling is bad too due to texting.

Linda glad you had someone bring your green beans and then your purse. So glad you didn’t lose your power long. We got a few drops today so the drought rain continues. The drought is BAD. We might get more rain Thursday- Friday. So we hope so. I Hioe that AI can help Glenn write his book I do not understand AI. Life has sure changed a lot since we all were in school and even when I raised my 4 kids. HH wrist is pretty much back to normal. Today, after we did some PT, with 3 and OT too in getting 3 to the couch he w eat fast and took me with him. I told him I’m almost 71 and he needs to remember his parents are I their 70’s. It happens when 3 goes fast in sitting, instead of slow.

We had him walk the halls 2 times that’s with a walker, and he cut with scissors a circle, did great, put stickers on a paper then practiced cursive ie signature. I guess I therapy they had him printing instead of using cursive. He doesn’t print and needs to get his signature down. So we will continue with that.
Tomorrow is my last Bible study so we will skip tomorrow and have therapy Wednesday and Thursday. It’s nice not having to get up before 6 3 days a week. We will pick 3 up at 9:30 so we are giving a bit of time off for HH. She was going to have 3 stand with laundry today. I need to ask how that went. I hooe it went well.
I sometimes wish HH would think how 3 feels, it’s 7 months today since his surgery, he is not the bread earner or sleeping on the same floor as his family, he has double vision and a paralyzed vocal cord. God is healing in His time. There is many things he can do, but lots he’s working on.
Oh at the therapy, one of the therapist told 3 he has not plateaued and that meant a lot to him. In Gods’s time.
HH told me he put clothes in the washer. Thats working on balance he did ok. Baby steps I guess.

Today was a better day. I did not forget and leave anything at any place I went. LOL We went to exercise today and I have been trying different machines to see if I can strengthen my muscles. I have been trying the one where you sit and push with your feet to work on thigh muscles. I may have to stop that one because it does put pressure on my knees and my lower back is hurting tonight. I do not want to get a compression fracture from doing any exercises. My bone scan tells the doctor that I do not have osteoporosis so that is good.

Judith - I prayed today for your apointment. You said that he had a "fair amount" of things the surgeon needed to do. I hope it was not as painful as it has been in the past. I would love it if you put your family cookbook recipies on the recipe thread. I am sure that the recipies are tried and true unlike some of the new ones I try from the internet. Sometimes they do not turn out as successful as they sound. I try to read the comments of those who made the recipe but it still might not fit what we like to eat.

Susan - I am glad that you had some quiet times today with Inara gone to visit family. Just having extra noise in the house can distract me from focusing on things I need to do.

Barb - You said your mom had an infusion shot today. I hope this has a good effect on her. It will be interesting to see what Cher finds when she call tomorrow and gets a report on how your mom is doing. Will they reschedule the care conference? Your last macula therapy is next week and I am praying that they will be seeing the success that they are wanting. Can you tell a difference? I also do not know a lot of the new programs on the computer that they have to help make our lives easier. My job was all computer related so I do know some things but there are also some things I have to ask my grandson about. Of course, he just pushes a few buttons and things magically appear since he grew up using computers. I am glad that HH wrist is feeling better. It is so true that as we reach our 70's and beyond, we can not do as much as we used to do. I don't think I could do as much as you do with 3 but of course we do what we have to do to help our children.
