Protein Powder vs Hydrolyzed Collagen
I'm working on losing ~100 lbs (~25lbs down so far!) and am working pretty hard tracking calories. I've been including some protein powder (mostly whey isolate) in my morning coffee/tea and in the occasional smoothie (and tracking it of course). In the past, I was of the opinion that adding protein powder was "just adding…

Target weights in app are wrong for short women
I’m 156 cm tall (5’1.5”) with slight bones and am tired of being told by your app that I’m underweight. Diversity cuts both ways. I’m 44 kilos, mostly muscle, and eat on average 1700 calories a day, 1300 if I want to lose fat. Our culture tells short people things are wrong with our bodies every single day in a variety of…

Millets and diabetes
How millets release glucose? We've always heard and some what believed that millets are good for diabetics, their slow-release mechanism helps to release glucose over a period time, etc So if you never believed it, it's ok, neither did I 😉 So I thought of trying it out and see if there's really proof in this pudding called…

Understanding Fat Goals
I am having a hard time tracking meals to be high calorie, lower fat. Even some of my meals show I have 21g of fat, but most of those are polysaturated and monosaturated. There might be 1g of saturated fat, no trans fats. Mind you, my alternative meals are very low fat, like a salad with maybe 1tbsp of dressing. I am just…

Could we get 6 macros to track instead of 5?
Hello, I was wondering if maybe the owners of this website would consider adding another slot to track macros? I would really want to track protein, but i'd have to get rid of either saturated fat, total fat, sugars, or sodium to do that which I feel is unoptimal. It's not even a paid feature from what I can tell to add…

From 180 to 171 over the past 9 weeks, I'm not new at this (not water weight)
Nine weeks ago I weighed in at 180.3. On Saturday it was 170.6!! BYE BYE 9 LBS!! Happily so!! It's been a long haul. I started at 288 lbs. , now with 118 lbs. gone I can move around easier. But, it's not been easy! If it were easy, there'd be no overweight people. My journey actually began back in August of 2010. Please do…

Control binge eating?
Let me start by saying I am type 2 diabetic with mitigating circumstances. In 2013 I went in for a routine ERCP to remove a gallstone. The doctor nicked my pancreas, it got infected with C-difficle. It developed into necrotizing pancreatitis. 4 months in the hospital fighting the infection and losing 50% of the function of…

First time struggling to lose weight. How can I change from what worked in the past
I'm at a point right now where I'm the heaviest and least in shape I've ever been. I've always been very active and in shape until 3 years ago when diagnosed with a chronic illness. This has prevented me from being as active and any workouts I have tried my body just shuts down for the next week. So im at the point where I…

What macros percentages do you use, and why?
I'm trying to decide what macros percentages I want to use. My goals are to eat better to manage PCOS (less refined sugar and refined carbs). I'm not sure what to choose since there's a lot of confusing information online about the relative health of various macro breakdowns and whether they lead to various diseases or…

High calorie snack options?
Looking for ideas for high calorie snack options that won’t make me feel super bloated and sluggish. I’m desperately trying to gain weight but I’m having a hard time because I get full really easily and have a pretty low appetite in general. I also can’t eat peanuts or peanut butter, which I know is a common suggestion to…

Greetings from the cave

I was pretty active as a teen (jogging, horseback riding) but in my 20's I started working really long shifts and it threw off my entire routine. fast forward to 2018and I was basically living in a cave while I was in college online. I gained 56lbs 2018-2022, and now that I'm not basically chained to the computer I'm…

Verify "verified" entries
I had a little time on my hands this morning, so I checked macros within verified entries that I consume consistently. I was surprised at how common misinformation was going into some items. I found similar errors when entering a barcode as well. Check your entries and don't rely on "set it and forget it" logging.
