What are your dinner plans, this evening? Any good recipes to share?

Are active suggestions ever going to be considered?
I've submitted some from 2024 for using the food diary and for the general condition of the database that are still listed as active. The most bothersome are: 1) For search results, especially for those older items that I hadn't added, a method of showing whether I can use an item rather than going through checking its…

Since the other thread got locked, I'm starting a new one.

Weed out the incomplete entries in the Food database especially those missing Potassium content
I've found a lot of the entries in the food database are incomplete but marked with a green badge. Nutrients like potassium are often zero for foods that have a significant amount of it. I really need to watch my potassium and have trouble finding the right green badge entry listing it. I do vote that those not containing…

Finally checking in
trying to get and stay fit in my mid-fifties. Feeling alone and isolated even though I know I’m not. Thought I’d drop an intro here to get connected. I am learning to enjoy exercising again, with modifications for now. I go to a Barre blend class 2x week, and this summer an early morning HIIT workout twice a week. I’m…

Saying hello!
been using MFP on and off quietly in the background. I’ve lost 150ish lbs over the past three years. Never reached goal weight, but it’s creeping back on and I just want once and for all to lose this last 30lbs and maintain in a 5lb range. I can be a great cheerleader and looking for like minded people. Me and my grandson…

Volume Eaters Thread
I have recently come to the conclusion that volume eating is best suited for me. Eating mainly vegetarian means I can eat copious amounts of food and stay in my calorie goal. Are there others out there who do the same? Let's exchange ideas. Here is what I ate today: Breakfast, large shake with 2 cups spinach, almond milk,…

Missing a scheduled meal makes me RAVENOUS
Hey guys! I'm doing pretty well on my weight loss journey nutrition wise. I finally figured out my protein and fiber and hit my daily calorie goal. This makes weight loss and eating less bearable. Here is my roadblock. I get hungry every 4 hours, and if I miss a scheduled meal at that time I usually overeat a little. For…

New here, again
Hi all, 11 years ago I lost 53 lbs through MFP, but over the years and hormone changes, I’ve now gained back quite a bit of it. So I’m going to give this another go! Shout out to everyone who keeps on trying. I welcome friends who are accepting of themselves and others. Punsters, punks and poets particularly welcome 😁

Not Giving Up
Hello - I'm in my 50's and have ~200 lbs to lose. I'm not new to MyFitnessPal but I am new to the community boards. It would be awesome to find support and interact with people who are similarly trying to make changes even if it seems quite daunting. Wishing everyone the best!

Feature Suggestion: Auto-select Ingredients from Logged Meals for Easy Copying or Saving as Recipe
I often prepare meals that I eat over multiple days. When logging a meal (for example, lunch), I scan barcodes and weigh all the ingredients, which then get saved in my food diary for that specific day and meal. However, if I want to eat the exact same meal the next day or save it as a reusable recipe after I’ve already…

New and Nervous
Hello. I joined this app mostly to track my eating habits and to try to increase my fiber intake. I’m 34 and found out I have benign (but precancerous) colon polyps. So I’m trying not to see that as an eventual death sentence but rather a needed lifestyle change. While I do try to buy organic I also don’t skip the drive…

Hello and greetings to you all
Hi I just signed up a few days ago. I like how the app records / tracks what I eat. It helps keep me accountable for what I consume. I normally mindlessly graze on snacks throughout the day so mindfully writing everything down is a big help. I have experienced both dramatic weight loss and gain in recent years due to…

Question about logging Calcium
Hello! I’m a long-time user, but always tracked just calories. I’m 64 years old, and was diagnosed with osteopenia, so I’m starting to track macros and calcium. When I set my goals, the calcium is set up as % of DV. I made it 120% of DV, but then in my food diary, the calcium seems to be logging as mg. I had half a serving…

Food and quantity matching for recipe creation or imports wildly off
I use the recipe import and creation function regularly. And every time I input ingredients there are many - and many very silly - matching errors. This means every time i have to not just modify the quantity or units, but almost always I need to search and reselect the ingredient. Here are some examples - both of these…

Acronyms and Terms for New MFP Members
Original topic: 08/16/2012, updated 7/2022. This is the THIRTEENTH (eek!) update, with modifications to the existing list. If anything is not clear, feel free to ask or use your Google-fu. If anything is incorrect, please let me know and it will be updated in the next re-post. This list is mostly focused on health,…

Who prefers the old food diary
I got a message on FB from MFP re: the reverting to the old format of the food diary is temporary while they work on a bug… Who prefers the old format ?? Maybe a show of 'hands' will get someone's attention that the old version is more logical, easier to read, safer for those who need info for insulin/med dosing, and…

Food Diary Updates difficult to scan and find the information after the recent update (UX Feedback)
Hi, I'm a UX Designer and have some feedback on the Food Diary Page changes. It's not all bad (e.g. I can quickly copy a meal from yesterday), but the layout of the page was much better before. You've increased the spacing in the tables and between the sections which makes it harder to scan the page and find the…
