Please take a minute to tell us about yourself, your MFP journey, and your spiritual journey.
I often feel closer to God through music. Here I will post a weekly song that can be used for meditation, prayer, worship, praise, or something that otherwise brings me closer to him. Feel free to add a song that inspires you this week. This week's song is "The Great I Am" by Phillips, Craig, & Dean…
Let the group know if we can pray for you. This is also a good place to report answered prayers/God's work in your life.
Hi friends! I wanted to know what Scripture verse or passage you may be working on memorizing. I have been wanting to memorize more recently, to treasure God's word in my heart and build my house on the solid Rock, so to speak. Currently I am working on Ephesians 6:10-? (I'm not sure how far I'll go yet). So far I have…
I fell of the wagon for a while when it comes to daily reading, but I'm back and ready to give it another try. Luckily our God is a forgiving God. I would love some friends to join me on the quest for spiritual (and physical) fitness if you would like. Yesterday, the hubby and I read Proverbs 9-10. I love the verse that…
I have finished Daniel and am starting Ecclesiastes! Enjoying it :) Hope you all had a great Sunday!
I kind of got off track with my reading and posting last week, but I am here and back to my daily reading. Today I read proverbs 11. Still working my way with the wisdom books. Will reread Job next.
I hope you guys are still reading daily! It's amazing how much closer to God I feel when I spend quality time with him.
A new month and a new opportunity to spend daily time with God/ reading the Bible. It feels so good to be in God's word daily. There is a closeness and an increase of faith that comes with it that is hard to describe. Please post what you are reading this week/ anything that you feel could benefit us in our lives with God…
Here we are, beginning week 3. Please continue to post daily and remain accountable for daily reading.
It's time to start week 2! I hope that more people will log and that we will all stay accountable this week! Even if you don't have time to comment on your reading, please post that you did read and the verses. Great job group!
Translation is strictly a matter of preference, but, out of curiousity, what translation (or paraphrase) of the bible do you use? Do you prefer different translations for daily reading than you do studying? My go to Bible (most used) is NRSV (New Revised Standard Version). I also use a Life Application Study Bible that is…
I usually do my reading at the end of the day before I go to sleep. It gives me a way to relax and also allows me to meditate/pray prior to ending my day. Mornings are just so hectic, so I feel rushed during my reading if I do it in the morning. When do you do your daily reading? Why did you choose that time?
