As the variations have been covered pretty well here, my favorite is also the standing overhead barbell press. A press that mankind has been doing ever since one human said "I'm stronger than you" to the other. My second favorite would be the decline dumbbell press - a totally underrated pec destroyer, made a huge…

Push/pull/legs is what I do. I felt like my triceps were lagging because I wouldn't give myself enough time to work them directly after chest and shoulders; I added in weighted dips, skull crushers which I superset with chest flies, and overhead extensions or push downs. If you work them with chest, as you say you're…

The Chemex is absolutely fantastic, sad to hear it broke. On organic vs non-organic, I've used both here but didn't notice too big of a difference. I was buying Peet's coffee beans primarily, but I've started going out to Oakland, CA on bean hunts as they have a great coffee scene and we have a lot of local roasters in the…

The upside down method does make a good cup of coffee, I've been using a method for making espresso shots that's a little less conventional. I place a filter in the basket on the bottom, and then use a tamper to tamp the coffee down into a cake, similar to how espresso is tamped in a portifilter, sit a filter on top, pour…

Vietnamese coffee is a something I've heard a lot about that I have yet to try. I'm more of a Peets guy, myself as their coffee is a bit stronger than Starbucks but an interesting thing on that note with the Chemex is that it kind of spoils you, ever since I started using it, when I go to peets or starbucks to grab a cup…

You figure out what your goal is: gain, lose, or maintain weight. Figure out the total calories you need to accomplish this goal. Use MyFitnessPal's handy food logging system and put together a plan that fits in with those calorie/macronutrient numbers. It helps if you include some foods you actually like eating as well.

Most calorie calculators ask how many times a week you work out. If you're doing Stronglifts 5x5 you would put in that you work out 3 times a week and it will give you an estimated number. You can eat these calories for a few weeks and see how it goes and adjust accordingly. The only thing you'll have to account for is…

Squats are a little overrated for booty gains unless you're going to squat all the way down like hams touching calves, if not, your quads are doing most of the work as the glutes are activated the most beyond parallel - most people don't have the flexibility to safely do this, you can practice without weight to get into a…

Cheaper cuts of steak are much lower in calories as they don't have the fat content to make them taste like an expensive steak. Rib Eyes, New Yorks, Porterhouses, and Filet Mignon are so delicious because they are insanely high in fat, thus insanely high in calories.

That looks delicious. On training days I have a bagel with 2 whole eggs and 2 egg whites, a banana, and a cup of chocolate milk. I train fasted at 6am so I eat a ton of super simple carbs. On non training days I have Oatmeal made with milk with a banana all mushed up into that delicious paste mixed in there and a serving…

I didn't like the Cookie butter either. Peanut butter cookies on the other hand - now we're talking.

You better run and hide! Jk lol, everyone has their preference

I fit one serving into my macros at around 5:00pm on training days. I don't eat much fat aside from what ever is in the beef and whole eggs I eat everyday so it's always a treat and ends up being more like 1.5 servings because I have a hell of a time stopping myself hahaha.

In a thread I started devoted to the greatness of peanut butter, only to find I haven't tried one of the most obvious delicious peanut butter products hahaha. Oreo peanut butter brownies, peanut butter ice cream, peanut butter in yogurt - this is what I started the thread for, a sharing of ideas and appreciation with…

You love that it's so delicious but you hate that you can't stop eating it because it's so delicious?
-
That looks absolutely incredible. 10/10

Maybe this is a dumb question but do you ever train arms with dumbbells? Training unilaterally is known to help imbalances as they both have to work independently with the same weight.
-
I'll have to try this on a cheat day. It's been too long since I've had a brownie and adding peanut butter to an already delicious desert food sounds like a golden idea.
-
I like your style. Sounds like my kind of party.

I love this response hahaha. Keep it coming, people. Glad to see so many other fans of this delicious food. I give it to my dog here and there and he starts jumping up and down like crazy when he sees the jar.

I used to do that with pancakes and eggo waffles. Everyone I would talk to about that would look at me like I was crazy hahaha but both of those were killer together on pancakes and waffles.

Chunky all the way.

10/10 candy.

Never tried cashew butter or almond butter, never really liked cashews or almonds but I'll have to give them a go. I've recently grown an appreciation for walnuts as I've been making oatmeal with banana and walnuts in there, delicious as well, so I'd like to try walnut butter but it seems hard to find. I'll have to give…

That sounds incredible.

Duuuuude. I've still never tried it, this needs to change. I'll take a few spoon fulls of ice cream and stop myself no big deal; peanut butter I have to seriously tell myself "enough is enough"

That makes sense. Just be careful with the sprints and make sure you warm up your hips and joints thoroughly before doing them, they really are a ton of fun; running is okay but there's a really cool and super intense feeling to balls out running as fast as you can. I used to go to high school tracks to run sprints in the…

I wouldn't say you're doing anything wrong or that It's unrealistic if you are patient and don't expect things to happen super quickly, 170 at 10-12% is a good long term goal. If you've gained 4 lbs in the past 4 months then it sounds like your doing it pretty slowly, which will be the cleanest way to bulk with minimal fat…

Why was it not suitable out of curiosity? Really any program based around the main compound lifts: squat, bench, deadlift, and rows/pull ups would be ideal so long as it was consistent. And if you can get over it, peanut butter is one of the best bulking foods out there as it's relatively inexpensive and super calorie…

You should forget the ab workouts and get on a solid lifting program with big compounds if you aren't already, stronglifts 5x5 would be a good place to start. I used to be in a similar boat, had a scrawny boyish body so what I did to start gaining weight was drinking whole milk, eating a ton of oatmeal, and eating a ton of…
