I think you are probably OK doing what you are doing. I agree it isn't a realistic long term goal but if you just need to see the needle move to stay motivated I can see why you want to do 2lbs a week. Just listen to your body and if you need to eat more then do that. I have done a 1200 calorie diet and weighed more than…

When I was younger and knew nothing, I would work out 3-4 hours 3-5 days a week. Frequently, I would stop at Burger King on the way home from the gym! I'd eat my fast food and then go to sleep shortly afterwards. I looked great but always wondered why I was in the gym so long compared to other people I would see there.…

I think the best revenge is when you no longer care whether he realizes it or not. You will get there. Be strong and do good things for yourself. As with most relationships.that 3nd like this, we usually realize breaking up was for the best. Good luck and hang in there.

Fake powdered creamer. I am used to it and actually prefer it now. No sugar or sweetener EVER! I like my coffee to taste like COFFEE! Sometimes black but I grind my beans right before brewing. I have the nerve to be a coffee snob who drinks nondairy creamer, ha ha!

6 and a half months so far. Lost about 65lbs. Eat high protein and do cardio and weight training 4-5 times a week. No noticeable muscle loss. Started at 240lbs, now 175lbs and wearing size 10 and some 8's. I'm 5'8" and 47 years old. I was at 1200 for 5 months and recently switch to 1450 (although I don't reach that number…

You have to want to lose weight and get healthy more than you want to overeat and/or not be active. Being overweight, especially as you get older, sucks. It hurts, literally, and you can't do the things you want to do. And it takes years off of your life. Fix it now (or soon) or live a life of regret, albeit a shorter…

I started at 240lbs and felt "thinner" (not my choice of words) after about 25lbs lost. I'm now at 62lbs lost but still don't recognize the loss the way I should. It's totally mental. I went from a tight size 16 and am wearing size 10s (and some 8s) but still feel fat most of the time. My friends and coworkers think I'm…

Good for you!!! Great job!!!

I would call this a huge SUCCESS! Congrats!

I would overestimate a bit. Tally the veggies separately and then 0.5 to 1.0 tblspn oil, depending on how oily they are. If it had excessive oil, I would blot it with paper towel. Sounds healthy, though so I think u should be fine.

Congrats, u look marvelous!!!

Anyone saying bagels cannot live in the northeast (especially NY and NJ), lol! Fresh bagel shop bagels are so worth it. I haven't had one in months but will set aside maintenance calories for one about once a week.

Anything that goes out of it's way to be extra calorie dense like fried mac and cheese.. I mean, why? Good mac and cheese doesn't need to be f'd around with. Who thought they should fry it, too? Some things HAVE to be fried to taste as good. M&C is not one of them. I'm sure there are plenty of other things that fall into…

Congrats and thanks for sharing your story!

I can only speak for myself but I try not to eat too late. Perhaps it's only mental but I prefer not to go to sleep on a full (or even partially full) stomach. But I also have GERD so it might be physical as well. I also like to think of time between my last meal and breakfast as a true fast. Again, this is what works for…

I was doing 1200 calories for 5 months and had no problems. I am now targeting 1450 because I wanted to add more fruit and nuts (for regularity). Feel free to add me as a friend and you can view my diary. I think the key is to try to get the most bang for your calorie buck. I sometimes ate less than 1200 if I woke up too…

Congrats! You look great!!!

OP, I think you look great! Keep doing what you're doing and ignore casual, stupid, mindless comments from people.

I tried escargot for the first time during my trip to St. Martin. We were at a great beach bar and restaurant in Orient Beach (french side). They were soooo good!!! Oh man! I can't believe all the times I refused to try them.

I had some grilled ones in New Orleans and they were amazing. I don't remember the name of the place. They were well seasoned and to die for. Hopefully, you will like them. I bought some from Sam's Club a few times and was surprised at how calorie dense they are. I had to really limit my intake to make sure they didn't…

I have no idea what you're talking about and don't care. Keep it moving, please. I'm done.

I like having bigger calves. I broke my ankle and was in a boot for months so one of them atrophied. Yikes. Two years and losing 60lbs later, I am just starting to engage them and get them back to looking more defined.

The OP is obsessing about her husband saying he is not attracted to her and feeling unattractive as a result. My point is that WHAT he said is not important (and could very well be untrue). The fact that he is trying to attract another woman is actually the more important thing. So she should stop internalizing about not…

Too many comments to read them all... Just because he said he isn't attracted to you doesn't mean it's true. He very well may have said that as part of his seduction of the other girl. Unlike a lot of comments so far, I don't know if the problem is solely your husband. You sound very insecure. And it's interesting to note…
