Is it "easier" when you have more weight to lose?
My coworkers constantly comment on my weight loss (about 60lbs in 5 and a half months). One of them wants to lose about 10-20lbs (babyweight / vanity pounds). She keeps starting and stopping. In one conversartion she told me that it's "easy" for me but "hard" for her. I want to lose a total of 80-100lbs when all is said…

"Weight is too hard to maintain"?
I've read this in the forum before. What does that mean? Someone will say that they would like to weigh X pounds but it's too hard to maintain. For instance, why would it be much harder to maintain 140lbs (for 5'8" female) compared to 150lbs? All other things being equal, isn't there a small difference in TDEE for those…

What's your favorite cuisine and/or food dish in the world?
Mine? A tie between: Korean - Ojingo Bokum (stir fried squid in spicy sauce) Szechuan - Ma Po Tofu I probably spelled both of those wrong...

Cowboy Boots on a Yankee?
Are they cool? I am becoming obsessed with getting a custom pair. I think I want baby blue ones with butterflies on them? Do y'all have or want them? If so what color/design?

Buy smaller size for motivation/reward
Does anyone do this? If so, what did you buy? When do you expect to wear it? I bought a pair of dress slacks in size 6. I'm currently a size 12. I have them hanging in the closet and dream about the day they will fit. I loved buying them because it was a vote of confidence that I know I will reach my goal. I'm thinking I…

Scale, measuring tape, fat caliper or dress size?
What is your most important measurement tool to guide your weight loss and why? Mine would be the fat caliper. Even though I'm a scale zombie at times, ultimately my measure (pardon the pun) of success is "the jiggle", or lack thereof. I don't care if my thighs are big as long as they are muscular looking with no cellulite…

Crazy ways to bust out of a plateau?
So far, I've been losing weight / size consistently. I'm hoping to avoid the dreaded weightloss plateau. If I do find myself in one I have a few ideas I will try (one at a time): * Eat a little more than usual * Change exercise habit (workout in the morning vs. the evening or more HIIT vs. steady state cardio or do a…

Tough Love?
This post is just to make a general observation. I've been on here for about 2 months now. Enjoying my weight loss journey. I stay motivated by reading posts of successes and lessons learned. I've noticed there are a ton of posts on here from people who "beat themselves up" about cheating or lamenting about their lack of…

Women out there with firm, flat tummies...
Can you tell me what weight you got to when you lost the last bit of fat in your abdominals? I've gotten as low as 150lbs with a lot of lean muscle but my stomach, while mostly flat, still wasn't super tight. My goal weight is 140lbs (or perhaps 135lbs.) and I'm hoping I will have that bikini belly by then. I'm what "they"…

Calories Burned Estimate using average heart rate
I found this formula on the internet: C = (0.4472 x H – 0.05741 x W + 0.074 x A – 20.4022) x T / 4.184 Where C = Calories Burned, H = Avg Heart rate, W = Weight, A= Age and T= Time (in minutes). I'm confused about the Weight variable. I was under the impression that a heavier person will burn more calories than a lighter…
