- Self- distressing damsels/dudes with *kitten* problem-solving skills, a solid victim narrative and a fetish for being rescued from the consequences of their decisions. - People who are all up in my face 24/7 because they don’t have anything better to do. - People who post a slew of self-congratulatory social media posts…

I have struggled with disordered eating as a stress response for many years. Sometimes I binge in response to stressful situations, then I hit a point last year where I completely lost my appetite and was eating maybe 600 - 700 calories per day. I am physically active every day because it’s my coping mechanism for anxiety.…

Tamari almonds and lots of milk are my favourite go to when I’m having appetite issues, like today. I’ve walked about 18000 steps today, smashed it at the gym and would rather eat worms than dinner.

I’ve had the same Fitbit One for nearly 6 years, I’ve used it fairly consistently over that time. It’s nearly nuke-proof, I’ve accidentally put it through the washing machine 3 times without any noticeable deterioration in battery life :D

You look great, in proportion, and I’d say most people would classify you as having an attractive figure. That machine is drunk and should go home. Ignore the stupid thing and keep doing what you’re doing because it’s working very well.

Thanks so much for your response. I’m going to talk to my GP about short term medication for the anxiety, things are in full crisis mode so hopefully that should help. I haven’t been able to address my fears about stress eating with my therapist yet. I’m deliberately taking a break from logging for a few days to take some…

I don’t have any advice but I understand where you’re coming from, having faced the same problem myself. I can only say that if you keep picking yourself up and trying again the next day, at some point it will stick. Perhaps your deficit is too high?

You are absolutely stunning. Well done on all your hard work :)

From another perspective: My scale broke last week and I'm not replacing it. I've set my calories to maintenance for my goal weight (about 20 pounds from current weight), adding Fitbit burns and I'm being much more careful with weighing and logging food. I only get accurate reads directly after my TOM. If I'm lifting or…

I had diarrhea for a few days before I went into labor with my first @ 41 weeks. I also had vile reflux and intensely painful cramps with my second @ 36 weeks or so, my ob thought it might be gallstones or something like that, but didn't investigate.

I've had it done a couple of times, it certainly helped in my case. Not a cure, as Azdak said, but I find that it significantly reduces the amount of seriously painful days. I have similar issues to you, by the sounds of it. I have also noticed that my weight makes a huge difference, if I go over 74 kg, I have much, much…

Nah, I'm not even a real scientist, just a data scientist

I dunno, are we talking normal human stomachs or the core of a main sequence star?
-
We'll call a noticeable scale difference approximately 1/4 lb - 115g. The molecular weight of methane is 16.04g/mol, so you're looking at about 360 litres in volume. I really, really hope it's not due to gas.

Ditto. I had no idea that I retained a couple of kgs of water immediately before and during my period until I joined MFP, recorded my weight every day and read the forums. On the other hand, I can give you a decent estimate of how my relative estrogen and progesterone levels are going at any time, based on cervical mucus...

I've been doing NROLFW for about 3 - 4 weeks, my glutes are MUCH higher, my waist is looking more defined and I'm starting to see some nice definition in my shoulders. I'm on a moderate deficit and I'm averaging about 1800 calories a day, losing again after crazy water gains and losses. I'm doing it at home and I have a…

I don't have as much pain when I'm under 65 kg, so there's that, but mostly I want to look really, really good in booty shorts and deadlift my own weight.
-
I dunno, two small kids and I'm doing housework, washing clothes and vacuuming from 9:30 to 11:30 every. single. day. I should be super thin. Still need to lose 25 pounds or so, though.
-
Mostly, I got rid of PMS temptation by giving into it and totally destroying my deficit for the whole week in a matter of hours, getting depressed about the resulting gain, giving up on the whole thing, not bothering to log properly until after the end of my period, climbing back on the wagon, losing for a week or so,…

Also, to the OP, when I stopped drinking coke, I switched to sparkling water and drank unsweetened tea with milk in order to combat the vile caffeine withdrawal headaches. I used to drink mountains of coke and decided to stop because of the calories and dental problems. I occasionally have diet coke, since I like the…

That's not really how science works. You have a hypothesis, and you test to see if said hypothesis is supported by the data. For any given topic, such as the possible impact of diet soda intake on various physical parameters, there is likely to be a number of different hypotheses, different studies, different approaches…

Thanks very much for your responses, I'll have a look at New Rules of Lifting, it seems to be quite popular and looks like you've had great results, sistrsprkl  . I just got a barbell, perhaps I'll be able to rig up a rack somewhere over the next few months. I'll also have a look at the routine you mentioned,…

I've been on and off citalopram (and now escitalopram) for almost 20 years, I find that they don't really cause any major weight changes for me. Perhaps a bit more water retention than usual. My partner lost significant amounts of weight, since he was finally motivated to get off his backside, stop snacking and playing…

I don't let my child play my 3DS, she's a total cow when I play with her ipad, so no swapsies.

Cotton yarn is the absolute greatest for crochet and I would also love to know what you're making :-)

Me arms fall off. Takes forever to find them and stick em back on again. Actually, back in the day when I could lift more than my fork, it was mostly poor form.

Apparently I have the same problem as your cousin.
