Thoughts on my new fitness plan

I'm thinking about trying alternate day fasting, omad (one meal a day), and a vegetarian ketogenic diet all at once. So on the days I eat, I'll only be allowed to eat one meal that consist of high fat, moderate protein and low carb. In addition, in my meals I'll try to eat around 800-1200 calories. I know the calories may seem a bit low, but recently I've been so busy that I forget to eat sometimes. So I think this will be a good way to get a bit of food in my body, while also putting my body in ketosis. Regardless, what do you guys think that this plan is sufficient?
Now onto my exercise plan. I don't really have a very structured exercise plan but I have an idea of what I could do. When I first wake up I'll procceed to do 3 sets of 20 squats, 20 sit ups, 15 lunges and a 20 second plank. After this I'll do 30 minutes- 2hours of cardio. And finally at night before I go to bed I'll do 200 crunches and 50 push-ups. In addition, twice a week I'll lift weights.

I don't think this is a good plan at all. That is way too complicated..pick one thing and stick to it. And just to clarify.. you are only eating 800-1200 on the days you eat, and nothing on the other days? That is definitely not a good idea.

That sounds like unhealthy under eating combined with a possibly dangerous exercise amount considering the almostcomplete lack of fuel.

i'm not gonna comment on the food stuff.
if you are starting from zero, i highly recommend going slowly with your exercising. you have lofty goals, perhaps cut them into like 1/10, see how you do, then adjust from there?0 -
I think someone needs to be harsh. You asked what we think. I think this is a really stupid plan. Vegetarian/Keto Is extremely hard to do at the same time, and on top of that, you’re going to only eat one meal of 800-1200 cals every other day? So basically you’re gonna eat an average of 400-600 calories a day.
1. No one could ever stick to this diet for any length of time.
2. There’s no REASON to do anything like this to reach your goals.
3. You’re combining all these incompatible ways of eating which is going to make it extremely hard to stick to your plan, you’re going to end up binging and screwing up your relationship with food.
4. If you DO under-eat to this extent, you will lose your hair, mess up your skin and nails, and screw up your metabolism (sometimes permanently) due to severe malnutrition.
There is literally no positive side to this plan. It’s stupid to overhaul your life in the name of fitness, especially when it’s this bad of a plan. You will have birthdays, holidays, days out with friends and family, and none of this plan will every allow you to enjoy your life.
Complete the set-up on my fitness pal with accurate information, choose a reasonable rate of loss, and eat all your calories. Weigh yourself weekly or daily, and if you are not losing as expected after 4-6 weeks, adjust your daily calories by 100 up or down and give it another 4-6 weeks. Do not give yourself an eating disorder25 -

Please rethink the plan unless you want to have major health issues. It was asked up thread but do you have a history of disordered eating?8 -

I don't think you will have enough fuel to do 2 hours of cardio. The app only goes as low as 1200 calories for a reason. Give yourself some time using the app and eating and see how it goes.
As for skipping meals, try stocking some good healthy snacks to fuel yourself during the day- fruit, nuts etc.3 -

No it doesn't . Over exercising and under eating will not make you fit, it will make you sick.8 -

Yes, I do have a bad binging problem. But I haven't been binging recently because I'm too occupied throughout the day to think of eating food.
That doesn’t mean the binging tendency and compulsion has gone away. It’s still there. And undereating is a guaranteed way to make your binging problem much much worse. I say this as someone who has struggled with binge eating disorder for all my adult life.
Cognitive behavior therapy was literally the only thing that helped me. Again, I reiterate that you need to find a therapist or counselor ASAP.

No it doesn't. You aren't fuelling yourself enough, also why two hours of a cardio a day?! You'd be better off following a structured plan by a trainer. 200 crunches a day wouldn't give you abs btw.
The food plan is also overly restrictive and unnecessary.5 -
It would be a better plan to eat a sensible number of calories of any nutritionally balanced diet you find tasty and satiating (moderate calorie deficit for weight loss), and gradually phase in an exercise program that combines a sound, progressive strength training program, and (initially) some steady state cardio you actually enjoy doing, interspersed with rest days (easy walk, mild stretching, or relaxation).
Over time, as fitness increases (in weeks to months), gradually increase cardio duration, intensity or frequency to keep it energizing (not fatiguing) and a bit challenging. (A good strength program will have sensible progression built in.)
I'm sorry to say it, but your current plan involves undernutrition, overperformance of random exercise, and major health risk.
This may sound harsh, but please try to think of me as a concerned internet auntie who cares enough to want you to stay strong and healthy while you achieve your weight and fitness goals.

I have struggled with disordered eating as a stress response for many years. Sometimes I binge in response to stressful situations, then I hit a point last year where I completely lost my appetite and was eating maybe 600 - 700 calories per day. I am physically active every day because it’s my coping mechanism for anxiety. Without intending to, I followed something like your eating and workout plan for a few months with high compliance, until I got my dumpster fire of a life back under control.
The results: I’ve lost a crap ton of lean body mass, my hair is unbelievably bad, my skin is *kitten* and I look 15 years older. I fit into smaller sizes, but naked, it ain’t pretty. I have stick legs and a bloated stomach because starving yourself isn’t great for your digestion, strangely enough. You can expect similar results if you stick to your plan. It’s unhealthy and will make you sick. Why would you want to deliberately do this to yourself?16 -

There is no way I could do up to 2 hours a day cardio on 400-600 calories a day average.
That limit alone is a less than half the calories you should have even at a reduced limit.
This sounds to me to be completely unsustainable, setting yourself up to fail.
You can lose 40lbs by the end of Oct by setting MFP to a 2lbs a week loss and sticking to the calorie limit it gives you.
No need for keto, fasting or any of it.
