I round down my calories burned at the gym to the closest multiple of 50.
For example...if it reads 296 on the machine, I round down to 250. After doing that, I try to stick to that being the truth even if I know I burned more. If I don't take as many calories back, I can still be right on with my eating and not go over. That's how I see it. And even if I stay low, I'd still be doing EVEN better than I think, hahaha.
That was an unnecessarily wordy way to explain that. Sorry guys....
Uhm. I don't know. I guess that's not as weird or whatever, but that's me.
I like the idea of taring the scale up by 5 pounds. I'd still do the same thing as I do with the calories burned, though. I'd still see my weight as whatever is shown on the scale.1 -

I can't believe I shared that.
I love you.
So exciting that other people are like me.
I'm glad you shared.0 -
I can eat peanut butter in moderation, but the biscoff cookie spread..not so much. I've eaten half the jar over 3 days, so today I tossed it up on the highest shelf in the back. Since I'd need a chair to reach it, I'm less likely to eat it mindlessly now.0

I know this sounds like I made it up just to add to this discussion, but I actually ate this in one sitting:
-Mind you, I was much younger and the wife was not home.....
ok... here goes....
Stopped off at McDonald's on the way home from work at got the following:
-2 hamburgers
-2 cheesburgers
-2McDLTs (tells you how long ago this was... they don't even offer this anymore!)
-2 Big Macs
-2 Quarter Pounders
-2 Quarter Pounders with cheese
-2 super sized fries
-2 apple pies
-1 filet o'fish (had never had it before and figured that this would be a good time)
THEN picked up a 2 liter of coke and a pint of Chubby Hubby ice cream.
...and ate the entire thing that night....watched a ball game... munch, munch, munch..
There was nothing but papers, an empty bottle and a spoon in the depleted ice cream container.
Why did I get 2 of everything? To make it look like there were more than 2 people eating all of this garbage.
...there's my confession!
By the way, I just used this site to figure out what damage I did to myself that night:
Calories: 8,975
Carbs: 1,164
Fat: 369
Protein: 276
Sodium: 17, 915
Sugar: 612
...How am I still alive???
I feel you. Sometimes binge mode kicks in and it is an unstoppable force. I have also ordered two of something to make it look like more that one person is eating all of that food. I once order a whopper from Bk and ate it while I was driving to another Bk to purchase another whooper.0 -

Obviously I am not advocating this behavior, but wouldn't it just be easier to buy two drinks?0 -
I eat everything I can get my hands on all the time.0

Binge mode is an unstoppable force. It's like I'm not even thinking straight. I equate it to a drug addict looking for their next fix.0 -

Orrrrrrr you could plan to eat there and not binge but figure out what you want from there most of all. Now of course with the St. Patty Shakes brought up earlier suppose that'll have to be on your menu. You could get a small and if you plan the meal you'll remember it and taste it and not feel guilty. Binges..ick, hate the guilt, the bloat and the next day trying to get back on track.
But whatever you do Sending you a smile ~~~>
Lollll I think I'm gonna take that advice. Planned for Thursday. A nice modest meal from Mickey ds. Especially after reading that 2 of everything confession. My my myyyy

Is it weird that my binge must-eat-it-all-til-its-gone food is meat? I love meat. I can knock off a whole roast chicken, ALL the leftovers of taco mince, a good lb of ham (I put away SO MUCH ham right after christmas), I'll order half a pound of salami at the deli and just eat it out of the bag.0

Today I got a bowl of cooked carrots for lunch, poked them, and decided that they had probably been cooked with butter (they don't label vegan things) and had to throw them all away. I felt so guilty and wasteful >.<0

My bro and I wanted some ice cream, so we went to CVS and got two pints of B&J. I ate the entire pint in one sitting.
It's not so bad to do that every so often, though. I eat at around maintenance most days, so I'm not exactly regaining the weight. I'm the type of person that would probably be pretty strict with calorie counting if I cooked for myself, but since I don't, I have to make educated guesses about how much I'm eating.0 -

shamrock shakes! Luckily they contain no calories since I am of irish heritage. also guiness and potatoes are "free" foods for me as well.
Calories don't count on St. Patrick's Day, did you know?
Well duh. You're gonna be puking them out later anyway.0 -
I ended my workout early because my Bluetooth headset died in the middle of my treadmill walk. I usually do close to an hour, but I only ended up with 30 minutes.0

Wow. I first glanced at this thread on January 31, it was on page 5. Today I saw it on the recent list with a yellow highlight box saying 3.5K new!. Had to peek and see if that was an error. NO! It's on page 122 now. That is A LOT of confessions, haha! I would venture the guess that if you are looking for a partner in "crime", someone to identify and commiserate with, they are probably here! Going to take awhile to catch up.0

Wanted to save calories and eat a bit healthier by making eggs for breakfast. Then I got to work and still bought the cinnamon roll, anyway. Thankfully I was full after the omelette.... and saved the cinny roll to have with dinner instead0

I don't track the free samples that they hand out at the grocery store and Costco. They wouldn't be free if I tracked them

I just stood in front of a freezer full of Ben n Jerry's for about 10 minutes, agonising, not over spending the calories, but over spending $14.50 on a pint. That's right, one pint. I walked out without ice cream. This is a confession because I'm still sad and regretful that I don't have any ice cream.0

WOW!!! $14.50 a pint! That would be enough to get me off ice cream forever!

I hate drinking cold water in the winter time because I work outdoors and it makes me colder. I utterly despise drinking hot teas and lukewarm/warm water because it tastes gross (yep, even bottled water).0

Holy *kitten*...is this American dollars? That's alot of money for a pint of ice-cream.0 -
Birthday yesterday - celebrated all weekend. Ate like food was going out of style, including a whole big bag of Cadbury mini eggs - my Easter favorite, margaritas, cheesecake...0

So, what do you drink?
I don't like ice cold water either, because it is harder for me to drink a glass at a time due to the coldness, not because I work outside. Our tap water is really cold because our ground temps are cold, so I run a filtered pitcher of water and let it sit on the counter as I drink it. It never is lukewarm. Still cold but not freezing cold by the time I finish the pitcher. Maybe you could try that.
Of course when you are really thirsty it seems like the temperature of water isn't a real big deal. In the summer I work as a flagger for a road construction crew. I tote a dozen or more bottles of water with me each day, most of which I freeze overnight because they thaw in the hot summer temps, even in a cooler eventually, because we work 14+ hour days. When I am really thirsty, it doesn't matter too much if the water is from a bottle with lots of ice floating in it or from a warm bottle, because my body just needs water.
I have noticed that the cheap bottled water does taste crappy when warm. I think that has to do with the source of the water. More expensive bottled water seems much better; for example Fugi and Smart Water brands taste better than most others, to me.

I normally end up drinking ice water and just dealing with being extra cold (Yay, more layers ) when I'm at work. My boss gets the giant primo waters for the water cooler. Cold it's ok. Warm, bleh. At home, i drink the food, lion brand little bottles or gallons and they are ok lukewarm or cold. I *could* bring my own water like i do my own snacks, but I'm lazy. I wish a brita filter worked on our tap water, but the water table here is pretty shallow (I'm by a river, close and close to the ocean) and it still ends up with a metallic taste to it
Sorry, had to gripe as i gulped down a not quite cold cup of water0 -

Have you tried a ZeroWater Filter Pitcher? It takes out way more particles than Brita.0
