I dunno... I have that and Hashimoto's.. I exercise an hour every day. It's actually helped me feel better and usually have more energy. Force yourself to do it.

I am! Definitely doing something I can maintain long term. In it for the long haul! Feel free to add, anyone :)

I'm not mad. I also don't have to. I want to. Though sometimes I get a teeny jealous when I see a family member eat something. It's annoying having to cook all my meals separately because of weighing and measuring, but it will be worth it. It is worth it.

I was sick for around a month recently. I did not count calories or log anything. I was just focused on getting better.

I beat myself up to no end. I had someone in my life when I was a kid telling me not to eat this or that, then force me to eat full meals of things I didn't like. Then would ridicule and criticize my weight. This emotional abuse made a huge impact on me even today. Add in an autoimmune disease that contributes to weight…

May not seem like much to some people, but 50 straight seconds of jumping jacks this morning.

Some things I do, some I don't. I've always had 1 or 2 % milk, so that has stayed the same. I don't drink it, but use it for cereal and things like that. I also get the lowfat yogurt but it's the only one I like... Chobani is kind of blegh and a bunch more expensive. Those are pretty much the only things that even have the…

I was looking at some of the suggestions, I'm sorry, but I can't even begin to try to justify spending $70 on a single sports bra! I almost died LOL. Maybe if I was to the point where it would last me a long time, but at this point, I don't think that I should go that expensive route. However, I did find $12-26 ones that…

Yeah I have crappy cheap ones now and nearly get smashed in the head lolol. Thanks for the replies.

Food scale. Basic thyroid labwork, if nothing but to rule out hypothyroidism or autoimmune.

I used to be! Sadly, I've lost my way. Gaming ends up consuming me. My name is Nerdie and I'm a gameoholic.

Wow . Seriously just wow. Amazing.

I have hashimotos... please feel free to add me, anyone! I'm always looking for more hypo/hashi pals :)

1200-1500 depending on how much exercise. I usually try and eat back 1/2 of my exercise calories.
-
That's about what I do too. I try and do 200-300 for breakfast/lunch, 300-400 for dinner, and snack no more than 200. Sometimes if I want something really bad, I'll exercise like a crazy woman to burn extra calories to fit it in though. I am on a low calorie diet because of my autoimmune disease. My doctor kept…

Yes... worked the drive thru at dunkin donuts lolol Have you ever watched a whole series on Netflix in one sitting?

Treasure trolls! I also remember my grandma telling me if I wore shorts, my knees would fall off. I was terrified.

I'd love some more friends! B)

Only you can give yourself the motivation and dedication you need, BUT, I am a SAHM and student... I have 3 kids. It's tough at first, but once you find a good routine, you'll be able to get workout time in regularly. I use my treadmill and been getting into the FitnessBlender videos on YouTube.

I'd definitely think that 2800 is very high. Also, FOOD SCALE! It helps tremendously to know exactly what and how much you're putting in your body. I've never heard of anyone using a HRM to figure total burns for a 24 hr period. Maybe both of these issues are part of the problem? I am barely 5 ft and over 200 lbs and my…

I become anemic often, so I understand. I felt awful and got constipated often when taking the iron pills. For me, I took a low dose of iron every other day... I haven't been anemic in a couple years now, knock on wood. But foods that can help are meat, spinach, beans, and some cereals have extra iron added too.

I think, unless you have health issues where you need to limit those things, it won't really make a difference. I'm always over on carbs and sugar (I don't even track sugar) from fruit. I rarely get carbs or sugar from other sources. I'm trying to find a diet plan I can stick to long term and limited carbs or sugar for me…

I think that title is a load of misinformation. You can gain weight if all you eat is broccoli and cucumbers and you can lose weight by just eating mcdonald's. It's a matter of calories in vs out, with the exception of certain health issues that complicate things.

yuck strawberries

I don't pay much attention to that if it's from fruits or something that's not processed sweets and junk food... I eat a lot of fruit, mostly berries. I don't even track sugar because I don't want to constantly see it in the red.

Well, I'm over 200 lbs and 5'2 and people still don't tell me I'm fat. But you know what? I am. I know I am. They know I am. But I don't give a bleep what people think. I care what I think and how I feel. Only you can commit to the change you need to make. No one else can do that for you. No one else should be your reason…

I'm in! I'm doing the 100 day challenge at the moment and, if I remember right, the week after Easter is the end for me and my goal was 24 lbs lost by then. I have 19 more so far to go.

I don't know what my end goal weight is. Right now, I set it to the highest "healthy" weight on the BMI scale for my height as a temporary goal.
