Right now, absolutely nothing (LOL, it's the truth).

I'm a intuitive eating success story. I lost 10 lb with intuitive eating, but it was challenging. You really do have to pay close attention to what your body is saying to you. Yes it's fine to go eat a burger and fries, but how do you really feel after that? Intuitive eating also recognizes overeating, or eating past the…

Lame. I grew up (and generations before me grew up) getting a couple bucks from our parents and going to the local store to buy a pop and a bag of chips. I won't go into my rant about controlled vs. non-controlled choices, but having a soda here and there, having some candy here and there, or having WHATEVER once in awhile…

You are right. I know for a fact I need to get in shape and be active. That right there is my goal, just to get moving. Plantar wart treatments for the last month have prevented me from doing that as I was left with massive pain and a massive open wound. At any rate, I don't want to make that an excuse, so I made sure I…

Thanks so much. I will be starting to exercise more frequently, that is for sure.

Good point. I think I'll get it measured away from a doctors office and off the medication. At the end of the day, it won't hurt to get my rear end in gear as well...

Basically using your own body (and associated weight) for strength. For example, push ups, pull ups, planks, lunges, squats, etc. So far I'm really enjoying it because it challenges me. I want to be able to do proper push ups, and a pull up (or two). The other thing is I can do these workouts anywhere (no need for weights…

Just for Today - April 17, 2015 1. Affirm that I cannot control other people's actions, just my reaction. 2. Not worry about things out of my control. 3. Stick to my morals.

I love fresh starts! I'm starting one now as well. I have sent a friend request!
-
Just for Today - April 15, 2015 1. I will put my credit card somewhere not easily accessible after paying down a massive chunk of it. 2. Go for a 6 km walk.

Me. Personal journey of self-discovery and self-improvement. Of course, fitness and healthy eating fits in there too!

Just For Today - April 14, 2015 1. Go for a relaxing walk by myself (goal: 2.5 km) 2. Be bolder

Absolutely. However, I recently made the decision to make this my #1 priority. I'm sort of a loner to begin with. I just always enjoyed spending time by myself. I enjoy going out by myself, I enjoy working out by myself, I just enjoy being by myself. Feel free to add me as a friend. I can totally offer support because I've…

Can I join this group?

Thank you so much for your replies. I must admit it's a bit discouraging knowing it takes awhile to recover, but this has been a work in process for two years anyways. I'm taking the appropriate steps at the moment, relaxing as much as I can and starting with light exercise. I also need to drastically improve my diet and…

So your spouse is mad because he wants you to spend all your time with him instead of doing something for yourself? Is this about him not being comfortable with you losing weight, or something else?
-
Good for you. It's so difficult to make that first step, and even more difficult when there's other painful circumstances working against you. The courage to start over is awesome - I can definitely draw from your motivation.
-
This. If you aren't willing to accept the responsibility for past failures, you won't be successful in the future. YOU need to make the change. There will be times when people support you and times when people don't. It's only up to YOU.

My boyfriend met me when I was about the size I am now. I managed to lose weight and for once in my life I was happy with my weight/size. He always said how thin I was and how I needed to gain weight. Well, through bad habits and overeating, I'm back right up to where I started, and I hate it. I'm extremely uncomfortable…

Thanks everyone. It just keeps getting better (insert sarcasm). For some odd reason, I have absolutely zero cravings for junk food or overeating. I usually am quite the opposite when it comes to stress.

First off, thank you OP for posting this. This is not a judgemental post, it's a fact, and I think it is directed towards people who are unhappy with the way they feel and look, yet choose to do nothing about it. They make excuses as to why they can't exercise. Just to make myself perfectly clear, this has absolutely…

I agree with the previous posters regarding commercially-produced bread. The end goal is to produce more for less. If there's a chance to put something in a product that will act as a filler and/or increase output, they will do it. Cheaper to produce + long shelf life + ability to sell at a lower price = happy consumer.

Anyone?

I think my partner and myself may be the only ones who don't do anything for V-Day.
-
So incredibly true.
-
I do, but I forget half the time. Again, consistent routine and not being too lazy to do something.
-
Thanks for the support. When you really take a step back, transformation of any kind and change of any kind involves every aspect of your life. Big changes, small changes. Even losing 5 lb can make a huge impact on someone's life.
-
In my heart I've made the decision, but it's all still boggling around in my mind. It is hard to make changes, no matter how crummy the previous situation is.

To each their own, right? If you think she looks healthy and curvy, that's okay. If you think she looks overweight, that's okay.

Thank you so much for providing this link and information. I will do just that.
