I'm on day two of the 21 Day Fix. I discovered that you can log into My Fitness Pal on the computer and change your meals to the names of the colored conainers. You enter the food under the container name. I tried it out today, it works really well, plus you can see the calories and nutrient ratios as well.

It's easy to get into destructive habits when our friends/family are gone on deployments. I'm glad you are focusing on taking better care of yourself.

I'm always happy to help motivate people! :-)

I'm doing Body Beast and running 3-4 miles three times per week. I'm in phase two right now.

1. Eggs are really high in protein. 2. Nut Butters and Seed Butters are great also. 3. Quinoa while not low carb does have protein. 4. A combo of beans and rice is a balanced protein, but again not low in carbs. 5. Protein shake of some kind. Shakes. It depends on your goal for the shake. I've been using Vegan Shakeology.…

Injuries of any type are awful! The trick is not to let a rest day or two turn into weeks/months. Find things that you can do with a sore back. Maybe recumbent bike, hand bike, swim etc. Have you spoken to your Dr. about your back and possible treatment/physical therapy options? Strengthening the muscles that support your…

It sounds like you are doing the right things. If anything, you might be creating too large of a calorie deficit. What are your net calories per day after exercise and food are entered?

These are great suggestions! Exercise is a great medicine for depression. It works well with antidepressant medications. Eating fruit, vegetables, lean meats and whole grains and eliminating processed doors will also improve how you feel. Don't allow your diagnosis to run your life. A diagnosis is not who you are. One…

I haven't personally done it, but it is a great workout for people who aren't ready to tackle the more demanding Beachbody workouts.

Hi! Nice to meet you! If love to help out. Why do you want to lose weight?
-
Healthy weight loss is considered 2lbs a week, by that rule, you are doing really well. Keep tracking calories and working out. The weight will come off. You didn't gain it over night and you aren't going to lose it overnight either. What are you doing for a workout?
-
Love that Big J! I tell people the same thing. It's not a failure if you keep getting back up and taking steps in the right direction. It doesn't have to be perfect.

I agree rather than take a cheat day, I would just work occasional cheat foods into your calorie allowance for the day. You can really undermine all of your hard work if you have a whole cheat day.
-
For men I've heard that you should keep it above 1500 calories per day, but that depends entirely on your height/weight. I'm looking for an article that I have on that.

I understand the being busy thing. I try to do it before work, but usually have to cram it in after work. I'm starting the 21 Day Fix next Monday. (Assuming it gets here this week lol.)
-
Way to go!! Are you working out to along with counting calories?
-
That sounds like you might not be eating enough calories. You want to be careful not to cut your calories too low, your metabolism will slow down and it'll make it easy to gain the weight back.
-
Feel free to add me! I'd love to help out, I'm all about healthy tasty food :-)

Hi, I'd be happy to help you stay motivated and keep you accountable if you like! What workout program are you doing? When you "fall off of the wagon" what happens? Feel free to friend me on here. :-)
