  • Goal was 75 miles, and I reached 76.6!
  • I almost made it: 69.2 vs my goal of 70 miles. My excuse is the cold I caught flying back home after visiting my parents. Otherwise I would have been beyond my goal! Congratulations to everybody who made their goals but also to everybody who participate it these monthly challenges. It really helps me stay on track! Best…
  • I'm in for just 70 miles in December. With travel, mostly treadmill running and other distractions, that will be a good goal for me. Only 66.5 miles left for the month!
  • My goal was 90 miles for December and I made it with 91.65 miles. December will be hard since it includes travelling and family obligations.
  • I'm going for 90 miles. Mostly on treadmills. Can't wait for spring!
  • I've used it and it does stay clipped. The reason I got it is because I wanted to have something I can clip to my clothing to be more hidden than having it as a wristband, so I have not used the band. Works great to clip on your shoe when biking. I also use the Jawbone 2(?) that works as a wristband. What I like about that…

  • 5/1 3 miles 5/2 8.5 miles 5/3 8 miles 5/4 0 miles 5/5 4 miles Total; 23.4 out of 110; 86.5 to go. If I do 3.5 every day for the rest of the month, I'll get there.

  • I'm living in the Cleveland, Ohio, area. This winter was ... let's say: not fun. I could not run outside because it was too cold, icy and snowy for me. So, I was confined to the "dreadmill" instead. Not bad considering not running, but still. Now I can run outside and it feels so great! Cleveland is a fantastic summer city…
  • I'll try for 110 miles in May.
  • Slowly moving towards the goal for Feb: 20.3 out of 75. I signed up for two races in the spring and summer to keep me motivated.
  • Last month got derailed by a nasty cold that lasted for two weeks, and I could just not run :-( Hopefully, this month will be better. I am going for 75.
  • I've used a Runners World training program ("intermediate runners"). There is a small cost for it, but I though it was worth it. However, I was not completely following it! But it made me stay focused. It is based on mixing running at targeted race pace for a about twice a week for a few miles (say 3 out of 5 miles), one…
  • Making very slow progress; still not fully back from the bad cold I had. I did cut my original goal (was not able to run for 2 weeks!!!), so I think I can make this one.
  • Got hit by some bug (flue or cold), so I had a late start running in January. I shortened my goal a bit since I am completely out of shape after not running for 2 weeks! Managed to do 15 miles or so this week.
  • Down one more lb. 7 more to go. This is a bit slower than I hoped, but I have had this cold that does not want to go away. I have not been able to go to the gym for two weeks almost!
  • I normally weigh in on Tuesdays, but with the holidays I am off by two days. So here we go: down one lb since I made the decisions that I needed to loose 10 lb. (Seeing older pictures of me Christmas Day did it!)
  • Hi everyone, I am Viola. I love running; it helps me stay healthy both physically and mentally. Mostly I run by myself, which gives me some alone time. Since moving a bit north in the US, living far west in the time zone, and not having any particular safe place to run when it is dark, my only realistic option is the…
  • This is just what I need! My real challenge for the year is to increase my speed, with a goal of reducing my time for a half in September. So, if I run the same time but increasing my speed, I will run longer! Due to some limitations in running the first week of January, my target will be 65 miles. [img][/img]
  • Yes, I am in! I am at 135 and should be 125lb. Not sure I can do it in six weeks, but you all can help me stay motivated!
