Hello everyone! I’ve been away from MFP for months, pretty much my entire pregnancy. March 2, I had my little boy. He came 3 weeks early, it was actually a scary start to his birth story (I started to bleed, went to the hospital, and had to have a c-section), but ended well - he was small but healthy. He will be 2 months…

Thank you all! @VeryKatie lol I know right! The rest of the world/social media is in the dark, but I had to at least share with this group. :) @WifiresGettingFit I like my new job. It's part time, but it pays well and I'm constantly busy (which passes the time quickly). It's an office job, so I *should* be able to work…

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been MIA. Lots of new change around my way. Also including my mfp username, it used to be Jackie0Marie. I'm happy to announce that after 4 months of trying, I'm pregnant! Outside of close family, this is the only place I've announced. We are keeping it quiet until well into 2nd trimester. Today…

My husband and I are officially TTC! A first for both of us. It's totally exciting and yet still so scary. I haven't been doing any serious fertility monitoring except for the period tracker I've been using on my phone since forever, it has a fertility tracker in it. According to that, I am fertile this week and ovulating…

Hello everyone! Now that I am officially back to my usual routine, I'll try to join in on the spread sheet. I upped my cals around 2 weeks ago and have made some nice steady improvements in my lifts. Also, we've officially started TTC! It's still so crazy to me. This week is apparently my fertility week according to my…

There's a group for ladies: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/4601-stronglifts-5x5-for-women I'm sure there's a group for men (/both) too.

I forgot to mention mats! A total must!

You're not dead yet!!! You're only 30 (Hi, I'm 30 too). ^ This. And all the other sensible advice given so far.

I have a gym in my garage that is a power rack, bench, weights, barbell, EZ bar, and some dumbbells. This is the rack I have: It came with olympic barbell and 245lbs of weights. The rack is nothing fancy, but it does that job well, has adjustable safeties, pull up bar, and it's well over a year old, still in tip-top…

You actually don't know that at all. There are plenty of people that get everything they need and want more or they have self-esteem issues (not at the fault of their SO) that make them crave constant attention or they have a fetish or they are just a shitsandwich. There are plenty of explanations or possibilities, none of…

...I feel like I'm not using the correct meaning for "DP" in the context this thread is using it... o_O

I hear ya. I don't think we are wired that way (monogamy) either, as far as the (meaningless) physical part. However, connecting and relying on one other person (as they connect and rely on you) is something that extremely difficult to build with more than one person. Sure you can have fleeting moments and good…

^^This. I wait over a week to two weeks before I start lifting again. I don't want any risk of infection, but I also don't want to do anything to stretch the skin/open scabs and risk my tattoo not healing as it should. However, a few days to a week later I'll go on walks and/or cardio outside.

Still looking for names.

We getting names or nah? (Ps. I'm in just for my two cents on the lab advice. Go to a pound or a lab rescue. I have two lab-pit mixes. They are the best. <3 )

Hello, @pezhed and @VeryKatie, thanks for the responses. Congrats, Katie! I am currently in maintenance, I stopped weighing a few months ago (mainly due to needed a new battery in my scale), but I measure periodically. Well, actually, I am on a maintenance/recomp pause for the past month or so, I am like 200 cals under…

Hello, everyone! I just found this group after a quick search. I was looking to see if there was a group like this and happy to see there is. I'm 30, lost 25lbs using MFP, and have been working toward body recomp. I have never been pregnant. My husband and I are looking to start trying around June. I have always known I…

Tampa Bay Area local, however, I lived in San Francisco and traveled up and down the coast of CA (absolutely wonderful place), I would not recommend CA for a budget friendly trip. Ever. So expensive. Clearwater is nice and all, but a huge tourtist trap, therefore more expensive. St. Petersburg (literally right next to…

I came in here thinking this was a Ron Swanson thread, discovered it wasn't and was disappointed. But, this puppy made it all worth it. :*

Absolutely!! Someone that can't say "no" or stick up for themselves. Uggghh Drives me insane! I actually have 2 friends that are dating and have a kid together, he hates "being a bad guy" which to him means he can't have his own opinions or disagree with people, won't stick up for himself OR for the mother of his child. It…

A slow cooker could be a big help for you. I prep food the night before right before I go to sleep, then in the morning I just throw it all in the crock pot and let it cook all day. Pulled pork (bbq, mojo, carnitas), pot roast, stews, soup, tons of pork, beef, or chicken dishes. You can even make mashed potatoes, baked…

I love walking and hiking, I love the idea of running and wanted to work my way to races, but it's just not for me. I did Couch to 5K a few times, but it's just not my thing. And that's ok. What is my thing - dancing, walking, hiking, and lifting. I really enjoy those things. I really love working towards lifting heavy.…
