I was away for the weekend for a concert of my favorite band (Cowboy Junkies) and I know this is a rhetorically question but why is it that when your relaxed/on vacation/no work stress it’s so much easier to get your fruits/veggies eaten vs fast food. I know I just answered my own question…stress. It’s like the chicken/egg…

I have to agree with you. I’m originally from NY state & live in the midwest now. When I go to the Farmers Market on Saturdays the fruit/veg doesn’t always look the greatest or needs a thorough wash but tastes so much better than the weak/water store bought same types & you get more varieties than store carries, 5-6+ types…

Okay semi fail last night, but slight save. So I try not eat pizza as much as I did when I was younger (haha As a kid no one counts their slices. I’m talking 20’s through 40s.) My partner offered to make me a salad, but I just wasn’t in mood. But the pizza had sausage , olives, mushrooms, and green peppers on it so it was…

I had a 3 day trip for some medical checkups but tried to get greens in when I could. Dinner at Italian place-pasta/scallops with asparagus, sundried tomatoes, zucchini Greek salad for lunch one day I had to past from 6pm on till late monday, but Sunday for dinner I had a buffalo chicken salad: lettuce, tomato, chicken,…

Breakfast/brunch this morning-another tomato & Swiss omelette with cantaloupe & green grapes for some liquid natural sweetness.

Last 2 weeks kind of a slow start. Back to work/the school year started with training a new teacher-librarian coworker & 5 new library assistants, not much room for my own work/goals. So trying to start September off better. For breakfast (no picture) but had an omelette with Swiss cheese & tomatoes. Lunch was Greek salad…

Hello, Sorry first full week of school, but training 4 new people is kind of crushing me & not letting me have enough time to keep up with my own work. It was supposed to be for a vegetarian lunch, but I only had time to eat some French Fries (not pictured) so i added some left over breaded chicken and had this salad for…

Last night we took my nephew to Red Lobster for a belated birthday. While being around cheddar bay biscuits is dangerous I did have a house salad with mango/pineapple vinaigrette & a side of broccoli to get greens in for day. I also had some stuffed button mushrooms (but as they are fungi not sure I’d count as a veg). For…

@BodyTalking is the geletin a way to add more collagen in your diet or for something else?

I’m definitely not young, but I feel like a newbie when it comes to eating fruit/veg, especially greens. Before I got married I was a pescatarian, but moving to the midwest when I married destroyed that. It’s all pork & beef out here & my partner is a big meat eater. Many years later and a whole lot of gained weight I’m…

@mkksemail Hello, thanks for the warm welcome! I really need to amp my f/v. I was originally in Slytherin for several terms (it’s my wizarding world house) but for dual houses I am a Slytherclaw so when they needed a prefect I said I would do it. That was for about a year’s worth of terms, but I’m still in Ravenclaw.…

Please join us for the fun and comradeship. Just a train ride, short boat ride, up the castle steps and under the sorting hat! We promise not to let the ghosts scare any of our first years or Peeves play any pranks on the rest of the years! #Ravenclaw-Intelligence #Slytherin-Ambition #Gryffindor-Bravery #Hufflepuff-Empathy

Dragons are tough (unless it’s Puff the magic dragon 🐉). My family has a history of diabetes type 2 (for most part) & kidney problems….I’m now pretty sure it’s on my mom’s side genetically. I thought I was lucky to miss it, but nope. First I had trouble with weight/fertility, which lead to s Type 2 diabetes diagnosis on…

@impishme909 Here is a list of anti-inflammatory books/cookbooks I've seen on Amazon while searching. I will get back with a list later tonight, but I am working late as my main mental health goal today & tomorrow is getting some dang book orders done for work that are way past deadline and stressing me like crazy-taking…

I hope you don’t mind that I joined, though I’m not sure what this group will be like, but everyone needs support. I have Chronic Kidney disease, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, and Type 2 diabetes (pretty controlled most of the time). I had a kidney transplant on 9/11/21 and I’m trying to find my new norm of what I can or can’t…

Done! Thanked my husband for doing kitchen prep/dishes, thanked a coworker for regifting a poster to one of my libraries, and thanked a shopkeeper after she had rung up my purchase. ICY to read 4 pages of a book or an article. (Tell us which book or article if you want.)

Happy New Year, All! How’s the sprinting to Scotland going? Any goals or new habits for the new year ? OMG, it’s 18 degrees with real feel of 6 “maybe” i’ll shoot for the 29min outside ICY? Yesterday it was zero with a real feel of minus 20. It’s practically balmy out today.

@Allaesa72 and @Neon_Vampire I too have a version of Harry Potter trivial pursuit I can’t find anyone to play with me (as well as a Jane Austen board game). IDK maybe some how here in Slytherin one of our games could be trivial pursuit / board game based (rename the 4 teams on your board w/slytherin names -Salazar’s Team,…
