Read "Why the scale lies." Take and track measurements instead of just using the scale. You may be shrinking in size but weighing the same. Keep going. I can't say it will be easy but it will be worth it.

I no longer take the elevator at work. I did 15K steps yesterday and I am so sore but it made me realize just how sluggish I was at work everyday. Love my fitbit now.

I work at a desk job all day. My FB reminds me to get up and get moving during the day and if I am short of my goal for the day, I put extra work into my cardio after work to make sure I make my goal for the day. I love the challenges too. Very motivating for me. It also pairs up nicely with MFP so I can track my cardio…

GOTR is a blast. 99 percent of the girls will do some form of run / walk anyway so you will fit right in. Don't stress, have fun and enjoy the time spent with your daughter and the other girls.

Make sure you are taking rest / recovery days too. They help me when my legs feel like dead weights on runs.

Looking forward to fitting into that XL Paul McCartney concert t-shirt I bought 3 years ago that just hangs in my closet and a tattoo of Hanu on my back to remind me of the long long long journey I have taken to get there.

I have graduated from C25k, 4 times now. Ran my last 5k in about 45 min. Slow and steady seem to be what works for me. I will pick up the pace and mileage as my weight continues to drop. I am currently in Week 3 of Bridge to 10k (B210k) training. More of the same intervals just a little longer.

Ok. People lets all get this straight. 4 way stop signs. ALWAYS YIELD TO THE RIGHT. None of that but I am in a hurry stuff. People with BMW's. Wait your turn. BMW is not german for "I go first." Secondly, the left hand lane on the highway is for passing. Passing. If you are not passing someone get back over to the right…

Don't look at all the young in shape people who have been working out for years. Look at all the people like me, middle age, out of shape, tired but happy to be there because we know its the right thing for us to do. The truth is "you belong" there too. Step out of your comfort zone, its not that bad. Show up, stay a…

I just started going back to the gym so I joined a new PF near my house, since then I have often hit a couple other PF in my area and have had a great time at all of them. I do cardio for 30-45 min then switch over to some weight machines for 30 min and finish off with a water massage before heading home. Certain times it…

Maybe a better thought process would be "I am going to lose .5-2 lbs per week, change my eating habits and be more active, my weight will adjust over time." No time limits or hard weight loss limits. It took a while to add the weight, it will take time to remove it properly. The goal is to lose the weight and learn new…

I ride the stationary bike to warm up first, so I count those calories as my workout. Better than nothing. :)
