I did use the apps on my phone for awhile, before investing in a fitness tracker. The apps work well, however, sometimes they would freeze up, or I would lose connection on my phone....

I think that they are expensive. Howver, I like them and they have encouraged me. I was a proud owner of a FITBIT CHARGE for 1 month. I had to rturn it twice, due to defects with the bracelets. I got the GARMIN VIVOFIT yesterday. I haven't yet figured out which is the better fit for me. But, I do miss my FITBIT already...…

I wore the FITBIT CHARGE for 1 month and I loved it. I returned it twice due to defects with each bracelet... I got the VIVOFIT yesterday and am now wearing it... I haven't time to see which works better for me. But, I will say that I loved the FITBIT and miss it already.

I use the MFP site for my exercise. I do this because, I can't get my fitbit to show my steps count in MFP....It will sync to your fitbit dashboard within a few mins... Hope this helps some. I'm a newbie too :)

I have the Fitbit Charge. I truly love it. Their have been a few times, that I have to 2nd guess it though. I wish that it was waterproof. I have come very close to washing dishes, and taking a bath with it on. The band is so lite on my wrist, that I forget that I have it on.

I have a Fitbit Charge, and I love it... My only problem is that it's really lite on my wrist, and I have to catch myself before bathing or washing dishes... I was considering returning it and getting a Garmin Vivofit since it's waterproof. But, I'm still on the fence about that.

I have a fitibit charge. The only thing I have problems with, is the steps not showing in my fitness pal... I wonder if I need to upgrade to the MVP on fitness pal? I have a samsung note 3. Could that be the problem that I have an Android phone?

Thanks everyone for your replies... I think I figured it out. I have a Samsung Note 3 and from what I read, Fitnesspal doesn't sync my steps from Fitbit, because I have an Android phone and not an Apple.... I'm thinking that maybe I need to try MFP?.

I have had the fitbit charge, for ocer 2 weeks now. I love it. You have to tap on it, or press the little lever on the side... Mine seems to be accurate. I love the automatice sleep dectection...
