Do a relay! Lots of cyclists and runners don't swim and would LOVE to have you on a triathlon relay. They want to hang with triathlete friends any way they can. ;)

I was obese when I started. I took about two weeks longer with the program than advertised, but I did it. I was sloooow, but I kept at it. Good luck!

20 years younger! And GO HAWKS!!

I feel your pain. When I took group classes, I would go up to the instructor beforehand to tell her about what to expect from my face and that I was fine. :) I came to get used to it, but it is a real drag.

We are big fans in my house! Been using it for a couple of years now and I even have a signed copy of a cookbook from Melissa Lanz. :) My husband will ask for the meals if we have a week or two off for whatever reason.

Once you're at goal, you can take it to a jeweler to get a horseshoe sizer added to the inside of the ring. It can take off about a size or two!

I had to take more rest days than intended due to a bad head cold and a cough, but I went back at it today to repeat W5D1. I did the beginner shred on my rest days in order to have a decent activity and calorie burner. The jogging felt pretty good today! I put little bursts of faster strides in when I feel sluggish and…

Did you rinse the beans?

W5D1 done. Parts of the running felt smooth and effortless today! 10-15 second spots... Lots of huffing and puffing still. :) I take a beta blocker for PVCs, and I need to make an appt with my doc soon. No increase in problems, but sometimes when I get that extra beat while running, it throws my breathing off. Which is…

Totally scale-related, but went from obese to overweight this morning when I weighed! I did a little dance around the bathroom. ☺️

Brand new to all this as of four weeks ago... Rest day from week 4 of CT5K... Squats, wall push-ups (I am so weak!), and 12-pound dumbbell bicep curls and chest press. Then went on a 25 minute walk with a 14:30 or so pace. 13 degrees here today!

I couldn't believe the positive impact magnesium had on my sleep!

I am a newbie runner (starting W4D1 tomorrow) and I would also love to hear more about gear people have recently tried and loved!

Tuna creations (ranch) mixed with smashed avocado (1/3 c.)... Eaten with crunchy tortilla chips leftover from the super bowl. :) also, sugar snap peas and cherry tomatoes. I drive to appointments all day for my job, so I often eat I my car. I stash some microwave soups at work for emergencies--for when I don't have lunch…

W3D1 done yesterday with the yaktrax--I did it! I ran for three minutes straight (twice!). I didn't even look at the time. Two weeks ago I was huffing and puffing at a 60 second jog. I am excited to see what my body can do in these coming weeks. I haven't run since 8th grade track (I'm 40 now). I wasn't crazy about the…

I would love to join this group for motivation and support! I am on W3D1, and I am going to have to do it in the snow with my yaktrax on! I will report back on how it goes. :) I am joining a local running group later this month, so that should be really helpful.
