  • Yes I'm still hanging in here but I haven't lost anything in weeks. This week I've returned to tracking my food and no wine during the week. Hopefully, I can get back on track. We had a health scare here as well. My father in law was hospitalized for chest pain. He'll be having a heart catheterization in the morning. I…
  • I'm still struggling a bit. I can't seem to consistently log my food. I guess that challenge comes when I buy lunch at work. I never know how many calories things are. I usually get a salad. they have a great salad bar with tons of healthy stuff on it like edamame, quinoa, kale, and avocado. Everything is so fresh. My…
  • I'd love to finish strong! I'm back to living my good. I also was of plan over the weekend. With all the company here and the Easter holiday I definitely over indulged, especially with the wine. Let's do this!!
  • Hello everyone! It's seems like we are all in this for the long haul. I honestly don't know where I would be without this group. Thank you @lizadaze for starting it. This week I must log my food. As for NSV's I'm not sure. I guess it would be that I am more conscious of my food choices and trying to balance them out if I…
  • Well, better late than never. Sorry for not posting sooner. I've had a rough week. I thought that I was doing pretty good this week but am up a bit. Having my monthly visitor probably doesn't help. Everyone at my office buys lunch at work so I tried doing that this week. I found that it doesn't work for me. The hospital…
  • We are finishing up a remodeling project as well. We put new flooring in the main level of our house. As a result my primary kitchen has been out of commission for over a week. Thankfully we have a kitchen in our basement. It's just not as functional as the other. I haven't eaten as well this past week because I've been…
  • Wow...halfway!! I'm making slow and steady progress. According to the scale I lost .1 this week. That's a little disappointing but I know that I've had a lot of changes in my life so I will keep moving ahead. I didn't eat too well this weekend so I plan on getting back on the wagon today. I already got up and did my…
  • I will try adding heavier weights tomorrow. I am struggling with a bit of tennis elbow so hopefully it won't bother me. I only have about 30 minutes early in the morning. Would you recommend doing so kind of "cardio" during the rest periods from the weights to keep my heart rate up and maximize my workout? Thank you so…
  • Hello everyone. I had a fairly decent week last week considering all the changes going on around here. I was down .4 lbs to bring me to a total of 10.2! I've continued my morning workouts and walking the dog twice a day. I did falter last week by not entering my dinners at night. We had healthy dinners I just didn't add…
  • Thanks for all your support. This week has definitely not gone as planned. The boys had a snow day so I couldn't go in to work. Now I have to go in on Saturday to make up the hours. I fell off the wagon a little bit by having some wine on Wednesday. I was just so stressed. It did help me calm down and regain my composure.…
  • I'm struggling here this week. This new job has thrown a wrench into my routine. I'm struggling to maintain my grip. I'm trying to make healthy choices. I am hoping that I can do a better job next week. Anyone have tasty lunch suggestions. I'm not used to packing. After not working for almost 10 years this is a big change.…
  • Last week was a good week for me. I remained active and ate fairly well. As a result I was down 1.8 lbs for a total of 9.8 lbs!! I'm hoping to continue in the right direction this week. My goal this week is going to be staying on track with my journal entries and exercise. This will be a struggle for me since I started my…
  • Welcome to our new members! I feel like I had a pretty good week. I am down 1 lb.! I remained in control most of the week. I even ate pretty well at my in-laws. I made it to my spinning class yesterday but didn't eat the best. Back on the wagon today. This week I'm still working on the BLT's. I also want to be more aware…
  • Made it to spinning today. The class was a killer! We did 6 tabatas! I'm so tired now. We went to my in laws yesterday and stayed overnight. I slept like crap so between that and my killer workout I'm done for the day! I'm definitely glad that I went and worked out. The boys want heart shaped pizzas from papa johns. ...
  • I am ready for the weekend but unsure what it has in store for me. I do know that I have a doubleheader of indoor flag football to go to and we may try and head to my in-laws after that. It's supposed to be REALLY cold here in Indiana this weekend so I doubt that I will get my walks in tomorrow. I'm hoping to get to the…
  • I have free weights at home and enjoy using them. What do you suggest is the best type of workout for me to get the best calorie burn and build muscle. I have just finished T25 gamma round and before that P90X3.
  • Don't give up!! Keep trying. I definitely have days that I could eat the whole cupboard and more! Keep your eye on the prize. The road to it can't always be smooth sailing there's bound to be a few speed bumps along the way.
  • I've been hungry today!! I just want to shove everything into my mouth. So far I have overcome the cravings but I'm not sure how long that will last. I didn't end up caving at all yesterday so I'll consider that a victory. We did have pancakes and bacon for dinner but I stayed within my calorie budget and man did they…
  • How's everyone's week going?? I haven't been doing a very good job with the BLT thing. My kids leave a half eaten bowl of dry cereal at breakfast and I end up munching on it after they've left for school. I need to do a better job of getting them to dispose of their uneaten cereal! I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to…
  • If you liked Shaun T he has a program called Focus T25. That has strength training in it. I've completed that program twice. Also, another beachbody program P90X3 has a lot of upper body stuff as well.
  • Same story here! Turned 40 in December and need to get my act together. I can always use some support, positive words and a good laugh.
  • I'm so glad that everyone had a great first week! Here are my goals for the week:* Continue with no alcohol M-Th * Try to eliminate BLTs (bites, licks, and tastes) * Try to make healthy food choices by adding more fruits and vegetables Good luck everyone!
  • I am a strong believer in weight training. When I was regularly attending boot camp classes and lifting at least twice a week was when I had felt the best that I had in a very long time. I need to get back into it. That may be a goal for me in weeks to come....
  • My Saturday was crazy. It started of with my son's flag football game and then we raced to his cub scout pinewood derby. That took up the whole morning. Hubby and the boys wanted McD's for lunch so I relented but insisted we do the drive thru and bring it home. I had a double cheeseburger but paired it with carrot sticks…
  • Thank you everyone for the moral support. I reweighed myself this morning and was down 1.7 lbs. I'm wondering if part of it was sodium. Thursdays are crazy for me and I had some skinny pop popcorn and some other convenience foods like canned soup. I may switch my weigh in to Saturday. On a side note, we had pasta last…
  • I'm totally bummed. I weighed in this morning and have gained weight. My son's birthday was last weekend and I did have pizza and cake but I didn't think that would undo all of my hard work from the week before. It's so frustrating especially after how good I was the rest of this week. It's hard not to feel defeated…
  • That's awesome! Good job for getting rid of that pizza! I'm sitting in dairy queen right now with my son. I forgot his dinner on the counter! :'( He had football and then we have about 45 minutes to get to cub scouts. Thursday evenings are terrible! I got him good but didn't order myself anything. I'll eat at home after I…
  • You are a former WW member as well?! It's amazing how those things stick with you! I joined WW 17 years ago and lost 60+ lbs before my wedding. I kept it off quite awhile and then had kids. They definitely changed EVERYTHING!!
  • I do the same thing. Calories are like money. I did even out my lunch choice yesterday with a healthy dinner of salad, acorn squash, and pork tenderloin. I also had a snack last night after the boys went to bed because I was STARVING. It was a fairly healthy snack. In the end, I managed to finish right at my calorie budget!
  • I've been doing pretty well. I've been eating pretty well. Today's lunch wasn't great but it tasted good. On Wednesdays on volunteer at the local hospital and as a result get a free lunch. They do list the calorie content do at least I make an educated decision. I've been getting plenty of activity. I also haven't had any…
