Your neck is thinner, the layer of skin(and adipose) on your forehead and face appears thinner and I bet if you were smiling more in the second photo you'd see the laugh lines better and there is more definition of your chin and jaw line! Keep up the good work!

you are not an inspiration, you are an awesome-spiration! Way to go!

What an awesome job you've done! Congratulations, and thank you for sharing your story. YOU showed that it can be done--without gimmicks, with just good old fashioned calories in and calories out. I'm so glad for you that you've found a passion and something that makes YOU feel good. There's something out there for…

Why should I put more effort into your health, fitness and well being than you are willing to exert???[/quote] Excellent! Think of the old Nike ad---"JUST DO IT!"then do IT again, and again, and again---and if you mess up-just get up and do IT again! You don't have to 'feel' like doing something---you just have to DO it!

Way to go! All the hard work you've done really shows!

Funny when you hear people say 'those programs are rubbish'---it's not the programs that are the problems- it's the lack of 'stick-to-it-iveness' that people have that causes the lack of success----any program where YOU work hard will give you progress and YOU'VE done it! Way To GO!!! ( and yes some programs are safer and…

Map Dancer---love your 'name'! Congratulations, and thank you for sharing the great story of your success. It is great to hear the details of achieving those positive accomplishments. ( just have a little problem with the 'embracing housework' part---LOL)

What a great and awesome job you've done! And what a great gift to give to yourself (and those you love)! Thanks for the inspiration.

been on it for 20 years- when I finally got serious about this, I lost 30+pounds in the past 5 months because I changed my intake and my output. At the proper dose there should be no difference in your ability to lose weight---we do all lose a little differently but the INTAKE has to be a lot less than the OUTPUT to see…

Lots of folks are probably scared to see what this thread is about---but it intrigued me. I, too, have had some death recently---the 2xl and most of the xl are not alive and well and taking up space in my wardrobe any more---cleaned out my dresser and found LOTS to bless others with, and lots of room to have the remaining…

Is this really about the gym? Please remember that if anyone IS looking at you and (they probably aren't) it's either because they are impressed with you and your dedication OR they themselves are insecure and are looking at you to see how they need to change something THEY are doing. If by chance they do have a critical…

Yes the hurt and all those other thoughts and feelings rear up once in a while but let them come when they come. Look at them when they re there and THEN continue to move FORWARD! AND look forward! You ve worked very hard and accomplished MUCH! Smile and keep on truckin'

Ditch the trainer ! Stay within your calories---dont eat back your exercise calories---log your intake---drink your water---sweat every day! And SMILE and relish ALL your victories and dont beat yourself up about any slip ups, just get over it and get started again! Keep a log of your nonscale victories (NSVs) and review…

Hi! I m 54 ( female) and NEED new knees. I m putting it off as long as possible due to being so 'young'! I use the rowing machine and stationary bike 4 days a week and some light weights and cardio woth a trainer 2 days a week. 4 months and 32-35 lbs down and TONS of inches gone. I never eat my exercise calories. The…

I've been looking at your group and would like to join. I sounds like you really support each other! and revel in each others victories. I've been doing this MFP stuff regularly for almost 4 months. It really does work to log your bites and get moving. Linda from Georgia

Writing down the small successes! Victory on the scale is great but the small changes I'm noticing are even more encouraging---I write down the small things when ever I notice them---new (long lost) dimple, easier to cross legs, hands feel very thin, seeing muscle definition (that's been progressing under all that…

Way to Go! Making great memories AND starting a new activity/sport WITH your kids---and one that they will hopefully pass on to theirs as well. Wishing you success as you work your way through the 'changing of the mind' because if we want things to change, we have to CHANGE THINGS!

What if something came up and you were unable to ever lose anymore weight??? You ve said if you lost more you would be "happy"---but from reading your posts it sounds like you're basing your happiness on a certain number on the scale or measuring tape. Didnt you say you were a runner? Your body needs fuel and your reserves…

That is an excellent idea! I might steal it and do it too!

Thanks for sharing that!

You're not the only one, you're the only BRAVE one!

That's a great quote---"there was something broken in my head...." I think there's a lot of that out there!
-
:) I knew it wasn't anything wrong when I caught a glimpse of mine but it was great!
-
Good Luck for your continued success! It's not just what others see but how we see ourselves that we battle sometimes. BUT we can work on changing that too--it's our choices in how we think and how we accept ourselves that counts!
-
WOW! You look awesome! You look younger already, maybe exercise IS the fountain of youth! Here's to your success.

The best confessions are those that are honest (like yours) AND have insight! Thanks for sharing---besides yourself you never know who you are helping.
