  • Interesting about the pedometer....I will have to remember to cut my grass (next summer) when I am in my next step challenge lmao! My son and The 2 dogs were my walking partners today...love this kid...always helps me out by walking with me and knocking out candy out of my hand (I'm a diabetic) when I am bad lol. November…
  • 4.6 and 86 to the rest of you lol. I bought Halloween candy yesterday....big mistake....but it was so cheap. Needless to say I got into it last night and did not log it. Bah....onto a new day! I probably spiked my sugars last night and then they dropped....hence the great reading.

  • I'm in the same boat regarding metformin and my statin. I think it's a personal choice. I personally have decided to remain on both drugs due to my age (I'm 37) the thought of living a long time with ANY possibility of damage to my organs....no thanks. I would rather take pills than risk my health and any possible long…
  • 83...I ate 2 poptarts before going to bed last night and didn't log it....I must have suffered a low sugar in the middle of the night as I remember vaguely waking drenched in sweat (it wasn't a hot flash lol). Must not buy those kind of pop tarts for the kids anymore lol (seriously)

  • I suffer from low blood pressure and I have brought it to my doctors attention. Not much you can do for it but EAT more salt (a little bit). This has helped me tremendously. I eat a few pickles a few times in a week or a piece or two of bacon once a week. I also sometimes drink Lipton soup in a cup when I am having a bad…
  • @alphahowls that's really tough and it's very hard to see someone in pain...I hope it improves. Great job on the walk and the steps! It's miserable here and the dog is "talking" to me telling me he wants a walk lol...not today. @painlesslife great job on the km!
  • @cloudy68 that is sooo fantastic! I'm so proud of you!
  • 90, @JaneKnoll1 great number! Everyone great numbers!
  • I'm in. See you on Monday (tomorrow is my day off for exercise)...I'm currently in a fit bit challenge so I wouldn't be surprised if I go for a walk lmao! Have a great weekend everyone!
  • 2.23 km today! Great job everyone!
  • 86 today! I'm so happy to be back on track!
  • Ok back in to check in....I did couch to 5k at the gym on the treadmill today (walking and running...I had such a blast it was so fun) so that was 3.06 km and I took the chocolate guy for a walk this afternoon (he was naughty, kept pulling at the leash when all I wanted to do was stroll lol) and that clocked in at 3.48 km.
  • @scolaris I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I am with Barbie on this, walking is so awesome. It gets you out with nature and away from all the noise (and if you do it on a treadmill you get to escape with your music for just a bit) I think for the most part that is lost on today's society where we are able to escape…
  • @JaneKnoll1 I think they want your blood sugars to be in the lower end of the spectrum is because most people who don't have diabetes their blood sugars are in late 4 early 5 range. But us diabetics they usually know that won't be the case, we are always higher so I think they consider our normal higher than that of an…

  • @leanmachine514 my daughter has had to wear one for 24 hours as she has something called...hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (it's heart disease caused by my having diabetes when pregnant...it went undiagnosed even though I was tested for gestational diabetes several times and it kept coming back negative...messed up) so she…
