    11575 steps today, 5 miles. Plus a Zumba class. Low spirits. Good friend & former business partner just diagnosed with a terrible cancer. Looking inward. Walking is good for that too.

    Congrats on your walking and dancing....sorry to hear about your friend :'( you're right that walking is good for low spirits....when my husband was in the hospital and I was home with the dogs, we walked more than we ever walked because walking seemed to calm me down.

    Hi Everyone, I have been with myfitnesspal it seems like forever now. I don't really venture out into the forums much but I did today and found this challenge. I don't have totals for October but, I have walked almost everyday. Tuesday, I went to Seattle with my Sister and we walked all over, oh yeah, did I mention, Seattle is very "hilly"....LOL, Well I hope there is going to be a November challenge I can get in on. If a couple of you would like to send me a friend request I would love it. The more the merrier :)

    I use this challenge in two ways:
    first to challenge myself to do better and be active every day
    second to share with like minded people and cheer them on with their personal challenge

    I don't try to do better than anyone else, I just try to improve myself.

    13482 steps today, around 6.2 miles. Just got my first Fitbit destination badge: London Underground, 250 miles. (Fitbit only started tracking me when I set up my Aria scale Sept 29)... So YES! I went 250 miles in a month. Pretty stoked about this.px3mnvb5v6uq.jpeg

    @scolaris I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I am with Barbie on this, walking is so awesome. It gets you out with nature and away from all the noise (and if you do it on a treadmill you get to escape with your music for just a bit) I think for the most part that is lost on today's society where we are able to escape for all the chaos and just relax. Oh and awesome job on the steps and mileage. I will be more on top of things once November hits. I have been out of commission for the past few days.
    @shirley61 your doing fabulous great job
    @brucehedke your dedication is awesome! And yes icecream is always a great motivator!
    @barbiecat your doing fantastic! Your milage she is getting better week by week!

    I'm going to walk one of the dogs today...not sure which one...probably the choc goofy one lol and then I am going to hit up the gym! I will post my milage later! Have a great day everyone!

    Ok back in to check in....I did couch to 5k at the gym on the treadmill today (walking and running...I had such a blast it was so fun) so that was 3.06 km and I took the chocolate guy for a walk this afternoon (he was naughty, kept pulling at the leash when all I wanted to do was stroll lol) and that clocked in at 3.48 km.

    I am going to go ahead and start the November 2015 Walking Challenge. Beeky usually has it up by now, but has not been able to be around. I can always get it deleted if someone else would rather do it.
