Having irregular periods drove me to go see a doctor. After talking to her about my struggles with weightloss, she ran my blood work and came back with a sluggish thyroid and an elevated a1c. Elevated a1c!? No. No way. No friggen way am I going to be diabetic. It can't happen. No. No way I'm letting this happen. She…

I recently made hot coco BP style. I heated almond milk on the stove and put in blender with coconut oil, butter, dark chocolate chips added a little vanilla and let it go. Was so yummy even without honey :)

If you're not feeing yourself enough by trying to loose this weight your body eventually caves bc is NEEDS nutrience. I don't think you're doing your body any favors. I agree with the others. Talk to someone b

Basically our body's are just one big scientific phenomenon. We know that our bodies use carbs first for energy. Then protein then fat. Give or take some. So if u have low carb, moderate protien and higher fat- your body burns through the first two quite quickly and the works on fat stores :) I am on a Paleo lifestyle now…

If u want recipes for low carb anything just look up "paleo pancakes" or "paleo granola bars" etc. All have really awesome ideas for substitutions. For pancakes I will use pumpkin purée or almond/coconut flour. Granola bars use a variety of nuts and chop or put in food processor. Add some dried fruit and honey or maple…

I am on a Paleo diet which is nearly zero carbs and high fat and protein. I try to keep my carbs under 50 but like the above post- under 100 is considered low carb. My dr suggested this type of diet a couple months ago and I've lost a pound a day by eating this way. Perhaps you can look into paleo it may be very beneficial…

Oh and just to add- people on lchf diets do get carbs from fruits and veggies they eat which is perfectly fine. These items are packed with nutrience and vitamins compared to granola and cereals and breads etc that are processed and processed and leave little to no nutritional value. Carbs do have a place in everyone's…

Paleo here :) I too have quite a bit to get rid of. Lchf is perfect for me. I too try to stay below 50g per day. In paleo world you can have up to 50% of your calories each day from fat. Try cooking with coconut oil that helps me in that department. Butter sure. Yes nuts and seeds. Cheeses can help too. Good luck to you :)

I have a digital scale as well and it's new. I too go for 3 consistent numbers but normally takes 4 tries. I just deal with it. When it gets old I'll get a better one.

Add me as well! Happy to help.

Me too!! ;)

Dairy period. I'll eat a good cheese I agree it goes further. Sour cream? No sub there. Butter? No way. No sub on dairy products.

I enjoy eating paleo and think it's a fantastic concept. Diets are stupid.

So, I've struggled with sugar my whole life and finally a few months ago I gave up on trying to manage it myself. I seen a more natural based doctor and what she told me is this - sometimes people have more yeast in their stomach then they are supposed to. Yeast requires sugar to feed it. And it grows and grows until you…

If you're hungry - eat. Your body has it's way of telling you what's wrong or when it needs something. You just need to learn how to read it. "Am i feeling hungry because I want to eat _____?" Or is it "I've gone several hours without anything to eat, so I think I should grab a healthy snack". Calories are NOT everything.…

Might I suggest a Paleo lifestyle ? Low carbs (no breads, rice, oats etc) you still get carbs from other things you eat. It concentrates on high amounts of lean protien and healthy fats. I've been on this "caveman diet" for several months now and I feel absolutely amazing. Cutting carbs was the best thing for me. I hope…

I know for sure the monosaturated fat actually helps fight the naughty fats like trans and saturated. Not positive on poly but you DO NEED good healthy fats incorporated for a balanced diet and to help keep other levels of fat/cholesterol in check.

I have started a Paleo lifestyle and I have to tell you, I absolutely love it. You need healthy fats to battle the not so healthy fats. I've introduced coconut oil and avocado oil. I've struggled with my weight my whole life and when I switched to a paleo I lose a pound a day. Perhaps this is something you should really…
