For me it helps. But it has become a regular thing for me. Sometimes I lift with my trainer, other times I do cardio, sometimes yoga & Pilates really help. But like someone else mentioned, it isn't a magic pill. And sometimes I still have my bad days where jumping on the treadmill doesn't help. You have to find the right…

I use a Fitbit for daily activities...mostly steps. But I have a Polar heart rate monitor for the gym. It's more accurate when it comes to calories burned.

I wear a polar heart rate monitor.

Both We have a treadmill, some dumbells, and a kettlebell at home. But I like to get to the gym to use other equipment & work out with my trainer once a week.

I'm 5'3 & I'm maintaining at 130-135 pound weight on a little over 2,000 calories. I still combine with exercise though. When I was losing weight I ate 1440-1500 a day. May need to take it up a little bit & eat more filling foods within your calorie allotment. Hope this works for you!

I think it depends on the person. Sometimes I stop logging & im able to maintain my weight. But I got very busy this past couple months & didn't log...along with eating a bunch of crap. I gained a couple of pounds. It's super quick & easy for me to track so I'll probably continue to do it for a long time.

Hey! Erian...on maintenance...between 7-8 am.
-
I have the DVD but have yet to start it. I may start it tomorrow though.

My polar ft4 heart rate monitor is completely waterproof. I love it!

I try not to skip breakfast. Even if I have something small like a cup of coffee with an apple & almond butter. Or even coffee & yogurt. It helps me stay full until lunch...which is usually later in the day for me because of my job.

I've been on birth control for maybe about 10 years now & it did cause me to gain weight. But after my body got used to it, I didn't gain anymore. So I had a few extra pounds to lose.

It all depends. When I was trying to lose weight, I would try my best not to eat back my exercise calories. Now, I'm on maintenance. I'm trying to lose visceral fat & gain muscle. So, I do eat back my exercise calories, but not with unhealthy food. I usually eat higher protein foods or foods with healthy fats...especially…

The only way to really get accurate calories burned is to wear a Fitbit or some type of heart rate monitor. I have a polar FT4 that I use when working out & I wear a Fitbit zip the other times.
-
It all depends on the exercise. Sometimes they would be spot on & other times they would say WAY off. I invested in a heart rate monitor & use it when working out to get accurate calories.
-
Agreed! I would definitely combine the 2. And I would use protein as a meal replacement. I usually do a protein shake maybe with a piece of fruit or yogurt for breakfast or a post-workout snack.
-
Plain Cheerios are good. I also like Kashi. Oatmeal is a big go-to for me though. It keeps me full until lunch.

I have had a few issues since last night as well. I finally got it to sync today after just playing around on here. It's pretty annoying though.

You guys can add me on here & Fitbit. erianswilliams@gmail.com

Maybe just an apple & almond butter...or a Greek yogurt.
-
I weighed myself & there wasn't much of a change. Good to know!

I definitely don't weigh everyday. Usually once a week at the most. Sometimes I'll go a whole month without getting on the scale. I'm pretty good at listening to my body & I'd rather see results there or in the mirror.
-
I've heard from numerous people & a trainer that it's not to work out on an empty stomach. But, I don't suggest working out after a huge breakfast or meal either. If you workout in the morning, I would have something small, like a banana & 1 hard boiled egg...just to give your body the fuel you need to power through the…

Ahhhh....ok. That makes sense. Especially because I'm trying to maintain my weight by building a lot of extra muscle.
-
I buy the single muscle milks it make my own using whey protein, almond milk, some fruit, and maybe a little flaxseed.
-
I looked into getting a Fitbit but they are kind of expensive. The only thing I'm looking for is calories burned during crossfit workout. So I ordered a polar watch. It all depends on what you are trying to track.
-
Agreed! Even though I'm just maintaining, I still log. If I eat a Big Mac...I log it. If I eat a salad, I log it. I still try to eat pretty healthy...but I don't hold myself back if I want some greasy burgers.

Michigan!! ;)

Hey hey hey! Anyone can add me. Need more fit & healthy friends.

If you have time to cook, I usually scramble 2 eggs with spinach & a little feta cheese. Then I have some fruit on the side & my coffee. All together, the breakfast is under 300 calories. And it's super tasty.

I made a protein shake that I use for post-workout or breakfast! Ingredients: • 1 scoop of whey protein (I use the CVS brand & I switch flavors. The chocolate & vanilla are my favorite. •1 Banana •1 cup fresh spinach •Other fruits (I but the frozen organic berry medley, I get it at Kroger) • 1 1/2 cups of Almond Milk. It's…
