  • A lot of comments i see here are missing your point completely. I know how you feel, i'm there at the moment too. I used to be a personal trainer and gained 26kg since my burnout 2 years ago. Struggled for a long time to get back in line, only recently was able to overcome my completely destroyed motivation and dedication…
  • @RockAShelley you are right, I'm not quite there yet but I'm looking forward to working on myself again where I didn't want to go through all of this in the past anymore. (or maybe even emotionally couldn't)
  • @strong_curves Yeah moderation requires a rational view over food, and when i binge i don't think rational. thats what i meant to say, i should really learn to look from rational perspectives during bad moments. But your tip is something i'm going to try right away and hope it helps!
  • @Raynne413 Yeah i'm always very strict when i follow my own schedule. I know what i prefer to eat and refuse to eat anything else than that (until i start binging). I used to be sleep deprived but thats no longer an issue, i now sleep over 8 hours a day so luckily thats good (and when i started to sleep more, my weight…
  • If i want to make progress i think i have to start doing something like this, with one problem, if i buy snacks i have to learn to control myself to dose and not to finish the whole bag at once. But it's worth a try. Problem is that i need to make sure i get enough nutritional food to make sure i get enough proteines and…
  • @HappyCampr1 thanks for the tip, i changed that one to another "baked egg" entry and the difference became a lot smaller, so that means, it probably acumulates the different types of fats internally, instead of using the grand total (atleast thats what i expect). I think MFP is doing the same with carbs, which can explain…
  • @yarwell for you it seems to be ok so far, maybe it has something to do when you go over your daily intake, ofcourse my totals are 2250kcal so, that was a bit less than 3 times as large as yours, maybe the difference becomes larger as the kcal intake grows
  • @yarwell They are in close proximity of 4kcal, and i can fully accept that it deviates a little bit from the calculation ofcourse. But according to my calculations in the first post, MFP is using the 9,4,4 totals, since when i add everything up, it is correct. Just the live calculation based on food isnt measuring…
  • @Yarwell I'm eating an elevated amount of proteins (sorry not native english), because i'm recovering from a nasty knee injury. I'm at 2.1g per kg bodyweight (as i'm 104kg). Normally i eat closer to 180g proteines. @Blankiefinder It's definitely 9kcal per fat. I'm losing just fine, because i'm using TDEE as a calculation…
  • People are not taking in consideration you are running a obstacle run, its not a normal run. Eat some carbs and proteines, dont overdo it as its not a very long course. But carbs and proteines make up for a good source for interval excersises like this. Update: Oh you are done already
  • Dont worry to much about sugar, if anything you are eating way to less calories. I refuse to believe you need anything less than 1500-1600 cals (this already includes a 400-500 deficit) given the fact that you are trying to lose 56lbs. We can't tell you if its medical, but i would go to the doctor and ask for a medical…

  • Update: i now hold a blue belt in japanese jiu jitsu, yellow in Wado Ryu karate and still white in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
  • I've been doing japanese jiu jitsu on and off since 2004 and hold a blue belt. Now doing BJJ since 4 months and love it so much more. The effectiveness aswell as the reality is much better and adjusted to current times. I understand japanese people value respect but the sport needs to make its entrance in 2015 ;-) BJJ…

  • Mate, you've been trolling the weight loss forum all morning, not biting (another example is here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10213966/why-do-people-in-the-us-predominantly-eat-carbs#latest). It was important enough for @mokaiba to make a post, therefor i can answer to it whatever the f i want. Yeah…
  • I'm much like your cat. *hides*
  • Thats pretty simple, said poster inclined that he didn't understand why his doctor called him unhealthy. The BMI is just a number yes, but it's clearly visible that the number is not just a random figure.
  • because yeah, one doesnt simply workout without a lifting glove? Weightlift level: princess
  • I think you're looking a things a little bit more positive than they actually are. You may have a reasonable condition, your strength is average for someone that works out. But you cannot deny that you're pretty overweight. (you are trying to lose 38 pounds, so i'm pretty sure you are aware of that) When i was your…

  • If you are going over 28 grams of sugar just by eating fruits, you do have something to worry about, if you ask me ;-) But yes, if you are going over the sugar limit that you set, there is usually something else wrong with your eating pattern and the fruit itself is the least of your problems. As mentioned before, i was…
  • Dont agree with part 2 of Faithful, as you can read in my previous message, fruit sugars count.
  • Ok let me elaborate a bit on sugar, as what Faithful says is completely true. I'm a health professional in education, studying to become a weight consultant. What i tell you is straight from the books. Sugar is just plain calories, it contains 0 vitamins and minerals. The sugars that do have some, like fructose, have so…
  • When gaining weight, its just as important to workout, as it is when you are trying to lose it. you probably don't want excess fat, but a better posture. For that you have to workout
