Jerry Ellis, sent you a request!

Oh yes, I was told about those starving kids too! LOL! It's very liberating to know when to stop eating isn't it?

Due to the great answers and info I received on this thread, I seem to have really tuned into when I am actually hungry and when I'm not. I even surprised myself and my wife when we were having breakfast @ Bob Evans the other morning and 2/3 through my omelette, I just stopped eating, put the fork down and said, wow, I can…

I'm doing 1750 now, so hopefully that's the answer!

Great article, thanks!
-
Thank you for this!
-
Thank you for that awesome response, that's how I was leaning, but was just looking for everyone's opinion on the matter...very good advise in my opinion!

I weigh 242 lbs and do allot of walking either on my job or as exercise.
-
Thank you for all of this information, a very enlightening article indeed! You are correct, I have not given changes I've made enough time, I just get frustrated because I am constantly reading on Reddit r/keto post after post after post of, "WOW, I've lost 24 lbs in 2 months", etc. it's just frustrating that's not…

Thank you for the advice, I do know that carbs are like poison to me, they make me feel awful, and hungry all the time. I think you are spot on about making too many changes too quickly, and I'm definitely going to stop doing that!
-
OK I'm going with 1750 calories, 22g carbs ( but will easily be under that most days), 109g protein, and 136g fat and stick with this for the next 2 weeks and re-evaluate at that time.

I felt great for awhile, but then was feeling very lethargic and weak, so I upped my sodium with more broth and started using potassium chloride as a salt substitute to up my potassium and am feeling better now. I'm also not really losing any inches as my clothes still fit about the same. I'll never go back to SAD way of…

I don't know how to check my vitamin D. How would I go about this?
-
I am 5'6" and now have my calories at 1500 with carbs at 19, protein at 75, and fat at 125. Does this sound about right or should I lower protein even more?
-
In your opinion, how many calories should I be eating? I did just read that 1500 is what is recommended for men. I have been naturally eating less as I'm not as hungry and some days have been below what MFP says I should be eating, calorie wise. I always pack more than I should for work, so afraid I'll be starving, and…

Didn't work for me :(
-
Thanks for the tip!
-
Well I guess I'm going to have to stop using it and see if it helps ugh lol!
-
I actually have not been checking my blood sugar lately just assumed it was ok since I'm not eating carbs but maybe low, I'll check when I get home...that and my blood pressure. No known kidney issues
-
Ditto here too, I'm following macros perfectly, at least today, and was hungry when I got home from work, it just doesn't seem to be enough so I guess I'll be adding salad to my diet!
-
Amazing! Made these tonight and oh so delicious!

I have just upped my calories to see if that will help me lose, I have not lost in a few weeks, and I think that I am more physically active than I had put into the calculator due to my job, I walk ALLOT during my job and am lifting about 150 pretty heavy bus hoods a night checking fluids. I have been tracking my body fat…
-
I do use the calculator, that's how I got the figures to use in MFP, and have been tracking calories as well. But, I am sure I haven't been drinking enough water, I will keep a closer eye on that for sure! Thank you!
-
I can definitely give up the whiskey, 2 and 3 are valid points, I think I'm eating enough but not positive, and definitely did not drink enough water, at least yesterday...I guess I will just keep experimenting until I find out what gets me there. I also am type 2 diabetic and most surely insulin resistant. But, give up…

That's what we watched, great movie! And might I add just 2 words...bacon jerky...oh my!
-
Probably not legal or ethical, but, walked to the store and bought some jerky (very low carb, some are crazy high in carbs), and am planning on sneaking it into the theater...hey, don't judge me, after all the family will still be eating their overpriced popcorn, soda, and candy, lol!
-
LOL, well, that's certainly something to think about!
-
Easy no carb lunch that tasted great! Sorry for the bite taken, I just couldn't wait LOL! 3 slices Angus corned beef lunch meat topped with 8 slices pre-cooked bacon add 2 slices pepper jack cheese heat in microwave 30 seconds top with mayo and roll up into a burrito shape...so tasty!
-
Something really simple I just made was Colby-Jack cheese sticks wrapped in pre-cooked bacon, don't cook for long though, maybe 15 seconds, then slathered in sour cream, great way to get the fat up without adding too much protein! And tasted amazing!

If you look at my diary now you will see I'm under, I put food in the diary that I take to work in case I'm hungry but tonight didn't eat the chicken legs bc the Meatza kept me full all night yay!
