Unless you do it day in and day out for an extended period of time, there really is NOTHING to worry about. Weight isn't gained overnight, nor is it lost overnight. It is a long, slow process. (*well water weight isn't, but we ALL know that is temporary*) SSOOOOOOooOOOoOOoooo don't sweat it. Log it, or don't, and just pick…

Never, ever, ever, ever allow food, binges, or what you might think of as a mistake to get you down. One day, or a couple of days, are not the end of the world. Hop back on track, and continue making the life choices that keep you healthy..... and HAPPY!!! At the end of the day (or weekend, or week for that matter), it…

I eat 6 cups of popcorn (.25 unpopped air pop) and it lasts me ALL night, and for only 226 calories...... I make room for it in my calorie counts, and it is the action of grazing that keeps me busy and happy in the evening :)

Just remember, it is NEVER too late to start again. And hopefully each time, you will become a little stronger. All or nothing is not a good attitude to have, you have to cut yourself some slack and realize we are all human. Mistakes are made, but it is never too late to get back up, dust yourself off, and continue. BE…

Also an interesting article that shows it really doesn't matter as much as folks believe :) https://examine.com/nutrition/does-metabolism-vary-between-two-people/

Mine consistently now sits between 44 and 48, and pushes 100 when exercising vigorously. Of course, this is going from 310 lbs -> 160 lbs and now incorporating about 2-3 hours of exercise per day and 20,000 -> 30,000 steps :) My DR. says I need to eat more salt LOL (I sit around 1500 mg per day). I feel GREAT!!!!

Yikes... Victoza... I had horrible side effects with it... my doctor eventually switched me over to Invokana... and now, I take absolutely NOTHING anymore, and have no need for either medicine.

I have lost 150 lbs. But now that I work out, I am actually gaining weight, but still slimming down. Body weight, as per the scale is not a TELL-TALE sign of improvement. Muscle, is more dense, so it takes up less space to weigh the same amount. So although I am shedding fat, or have shed fat, I am now gaining some weight…

Remember, everything "calculated" is a GUESS, and approximation of a perfect world. You have to experiment in gradual increments to narrow down what is correct and will work for you. Always be wary of EXACT numbers, and know that it can fluctuate on a daily, weekly and monthly basis depending on any number of factors. Make…

The only thing that can do it quickly is probably water loss. Anything else takes time. So, try and limit your sodium intake, and sweat out some extra water. It won't be permanent, and probably isn't a "REAL" weight loss, but it will slim you out a bit until you can properly lose actual fat. The only way to do it right is…

I went from off the charts to normal, and now I no longer have to take ANY medication, and my doctor no longer considers me a type 2 diabetic. I was on Invokana (WONDER DRUG OMG) and Metformin!!! There were times when my tests were over 20. It can be conquered, keep up the fight!!!

Some apps, and counters, and devices cancel out the RECORDED vs the ENTERED, IE: automated vs manual entries so that if they happen at roughly the same time they don't get counted twice. BUT, it all depends on the application, device, and / or software. Your best bet is to do a test to find out if it is working correctly…

Congratulations!!! You should be happy that you can eat that much without gaining. I am sure many of us wish we were in the same boat! Perhaps you have a very active job? Perhaps you have a very active metabolism? Perhaps you have a medical condition? Perhaps you have a TAPE WORM? Be happy that you can guestimate a 3000 -…

46, lost 150 lbs in 1 year, from 310 to 160, size 52 to size 30. Loose skin, but not unmanageable, and completely not noticeable with clothing on. Well worth it, IMHO! And it appears to be getting better as I fill in certain places with muscle.

Say no to "diets", say yes to "lifestyles".... Whichever you choose, good luck, don't ever get discouraged, and be HAPPY!!!! Oh, and we'll support you no matter what :)

I spend about 35 minutes a day in the sauna. I don't log it, as there is absolutely no proof that it has ANY beneficial effects. I do find it therapeutic, and I tend to meditate while in there. I also find that it helps sweat out excessive sodium. All in all, it is a good time, but not strictly something I would log.

Weigh your food... Don't weigh your food... Lose weight... Don't lose weight... They are all choices YOU can make. Folks will help you, folks will hinder you. But it all boils down to YOUR desire to do what YOU want. Only YOU can make the decisions that will effect you. If one of those happens to be the choice to weigh…

I guess if you don't log sodium intake, then you don't need to log soya etc.... :)

Be careful... be very very very careful... exercising can become HIGHLY addictive.... The more you do, the easier it becomes, and the easier it becomes, the more you do.... soon, you have to eat LOTS just to keep up!!! ;(

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Cycling is wonderful!!! I started out 1 year ago not being able to bike around the block. Now I bike 50 km / day at a minimum and thoroughly love it. I've also gone from 310 lbs to 160 lbs in that time. I find that you have to add air, and keep the tire as firm as possible. You will have to add it once…

Also, sometimes it takes more time for the body to adjust to the changes. Each and every person is different. I would be very wary about the eating back all of the recorded exercise calories. Remember that calories are NOT exact, and typically exercise calories are averages / statistics / made-up based on what we hope are…

Remember, EVERY ONE IS DIFFERENT! There is really no guaranteed formula. Yes, there are suggestions, and yes there are truths, fictions, and fallacies , but there is absolutely __NO__ complete one hundred percent understanding of HOW it ALL works for everyone all the time. Some folks swear by breakfast, some folks don't.…

Food guides in N.A. say 2400, but elsewhere around the world, and other sources list 1500 as a much better basic level. Interestingly, it ALL depends on the person. I would say though, that a general rule of thumb would be to NEVER add extra salt

Never, ever, ever, ever beat yourself up over something you have done when it comes to food. !!! YOU CAN ALWAYS START OVER TOMORROW !!! Learn to not obsess over the mistakes you / we make. You can always start fresh the next day, and just make one small adjustment at a time to correct it. You don't have to do it ALL at…

Ummmm, some things are considered already in your daily expenditure. Preparing meals, wiping your butt, blinking, and things almost everyone does on a daily basis, that are not outside of the "norm" for a sedentary life, are typically included. At least, that has always been my understanding
