I just want to say a huge Thank You to all that responded ! Your numbers relative to mine are quite insightful and should help inspire me to alter my course to make better food choices and to exercise more regularly !

She spent too much time in blogs =o)

Great thread, deserves a "sister thread" of foods that have been surprisingly LOW calorie !

The important thing is that you are still trying... Just take it one meal at a time, baby steps in the right direction & keep your expectations realistic.
-
ps: To me, you sound happy & healthy at your current weight. Just sayin'...

Seems easy enough to gain, just consume more calories than you burn. Have you tried any weight gain protein drinks ?

Room for one more =o)

I would recommend starting closer to the 1360 # & track your weight loss progress & compare your actual progress to your weekly weight loss goal. Only eat more calories if you are meeting or exceeding your anticipated or expected rate of weight loss. Macro's will also come into play as you will need carbs to fuel your…

Done deal, pizza it is...

Direction is more important than speed... Baby steps in the right direction are far more productive in the long run than loosing sight of your goal & going off track. Stay focused on your goal & take intentional steps to move yourself towards that goal. If you can do that, you will be successful over time.

53M here, I've been on the 1200 calorie thing since April, Started out good as far as weight loss but everything slowed considerably after losing about 15 pounds. I have tweaked my macro's a little, increased protein from 20% to 30% (60g to 90g), decreased fat from 30% to 20% (40g to 27g), & increased my sugar allowance as…

OMG, Sorry but that calculator is WAYYYYYYYYYYY off ! If I followed that sites advice, I would be morbidly obese

It's interesting to see how much the answers actually vary. And when you try to find recommended amounts on the net, the recommendations vary almost as much, it seems crazy to me that the #'s or %'s would vary sooooooo much. MFP set me up at 20% of 1200 calories, or 60 grams per day. I felt that was too low & bumped it up…

Generally speaking I would have to say yes I am...

Yeah, it's not an either / or choice... You have to eat at a calorie deficit, the "low carb" diet is merely one attempt at lowering caloric intake. From my experience, if you cut your carbs too low, you loose the energy needed to function properly (including to burn fat). Low calorie is the way to go, if you want to eat…

Let me know if they are good, you have me curious now lol...

I think it's 9 calories per 100 gram serving, but the package is 270 grams ? (looking on the product website), So, there are nearly 3 servings in that pouch or container.

A combination of things... Not happy with the person in the mirror who seemed to keep changing to larger sized jeans, I wasn't going above a 34.... And I was a solid 34.5 lol... * A trip to the hospital at work for a regular physical of sorts, the nurse freaked out when she took my blood preasure... Her reaction totally…

If I go by your headline "What Motivates You Out Of Bed Every Morning ?", I tend to get out of bed at the insistence of my bladder lol... If I go by you actual question "Okay, I've been laying here for 2 hours. Time to get dressed." That motivation is more apt to hit if I have destination in mind...

2 days ??? really ???

Wow ! Nothing like looking to give yourself an excuse to give up before you even try. If you believe that it can't be done, it wont get done. One commonality among all that have succeeded, or are succeeding is that they believe that it is possible & they don't give up trying. I suggest that you not believe everything that…

I consider that to be a grey area, No right or wrong... If you have calories left from before midnight, to me it's ok to go back & add a midnight snack. I usually work until midnight or 1 am so this is not uncommon for me to do at all. If I don't have calories left over from before midnight then they get counted towards…

I'm only vaguely familiar with them at all, I don't think I'll really "get" what all they might offer in terms of benefits until I own one. Just looking for any advice from those that already own & use them. As of yet I'm not convinced that I "need" one lol. But everybody seems to use them now so there must be something to…

Bummer !, That's what i get for posting a "Before" picture ! lol
