Keep at it. I am trying to lose weight at 49, and it has been an interesting journey. You'll get to where you want to be.

I have heard from my doctor that people that are a pound or two over their perfect BMI weight may be healthier because in case of sickness (the Flu) they have more reserves to draw from. That could mean less trips to the ER or Doctor in general.

Keto diets as well as other diets can really help shep weight. The problem which arises is when the diet is over. Trying to go back to eating regularly causes many people to regain weight. It seems more sensible to eat a balanced regular diet, reduce caloric intake, and be mindful of portion sizes. In my humble opinion.

Same as the rest of "us". I lost 70 pounds a few years ago . I was injured and put on 50 pounds. I have worked off 15 pounds, and you will as well. Don't get down on yourself.

I love sweet peas, corn, and broccoli. I get Steamers because they cook in the micro pretty quick. Broccoli and cheese sauce is my fav, and less than 200 cal a bag, its my entire luch.

I have read that when we start loosing weight we lose 60% fat to 40% muscle but that ratio changes as we go along until it gets reversed. Hi everyone! I am 45 and lost 70 pounds at one time thanks to MFP. I gained thirty-five back because of not watching what I was eating after getting an injury. Now after having surgery completed to get the injury taken care of I am looking forward to losing around 40 pounds.

I am 45, younger than some. I am also trying to lose the last 40 pounds of extra weight. However I did lose 70 pounds by using MFP and Wii My Fitness Coach.

I would agree. I have been with MFP for a while and it worked well while I was sticking to it. The kind of workout is important as well, I only was doing 30 min a day of treadmill work and lost 70 pounds.
